how much is a second hand 300zx twin turbo engine worth. just some rough figures would help.

Does it come with any other parts?? Turbo's, altenator, plenum, etc etc

 

Do you also know the milage or the egine, does it have any history files with it, have you heard it running etc??

 

A scrap engine is £25/50 where as a real good engine with a small warrenty is upto £1000.

 

Average from a non trader id guess is about £700

it has 69,000 miles on it, and it runs fine, it's in my car at the mo, and i drop my oil every 3000 to 5000 miles, no history on it but it has never missed a beat in two years.

i was'nt sure what they were worth, thanks bud.

I'm affraid I've got to agree with Mr chunkster (Sorry Rich) and having shopped around and now having three running engines although the one in my car is very poorly. I say a good reputable dealer would want £1200/£1500 for an engine without Turbos and six month warrenty.

 

As a punter if you have good evidence as to the milage and history you could get up to £1000 without Turbos, plenum. fuel rail etc. If you get the right punter, but if you want a quick sale then £800/£700 and a £1000 with all ancileries.

when i insured my mk2 golf (with vr6 engine) all they stated it as was a mk2 vr6

 

so just try asking them to insure a v8 zed
