Bugger...i thought it would pass! It's failed on the left hicas joint so i now have 2 weeks to sort it. i'm thinking of putting an eliminator in, as it's disabled at the moment anyway. Does the eliminator totally remove all the hicas joints or just the rack? If its just the rack would i still need to get a new joint?? Thanks... Stuart.

Howdy guys. Well I decided to write my own spreadsheet to calculate my miles per gallon. What can I say other than gutted ! lol. I managed just 70 miles for £20 of 97RON Premium Unleaded :( thats 16mpg guys, how pants is that ! :hyper: But then again I did have foot to floor for a lot of it, so I am gonna try some chilled out driving next time for 20 notes and see what happens. Anyway heres a pic of the spreadsheet I did in Excel, if anyone wants a copy let me know and I will email you what I created, just be sure to tell any hot chicks it was me who wrote the spreadsheet  PM me if you want the excel file and I will be happy t…

Hi all, Been a while, taken 2 years for Nobles to complete my engine. finally got it back, but im not happy... ok so here goes... [iGNITION ON] Not a problem Batt Light ON Anti Lock ON Fuel Pump Check ON Light (Works fine when brake pedal pressed) [CRANK ENGINE] Takes a few turns, but to be expected with a brand new engine... [ENGINE RUNNING] Batt Light HALF ON (dims gradually, but is always slightly on) Anti Lock ON (for a while then goes off as Batt Light dims) Speedo (Randomly just stops registering speed, goes to zero, never works again until re-ignition) Turbo Gauge DEAD (see fuse issue below) Power St…

Hi everyone, My insurance quote is £1600 for a Twin Turbo 300zx or £1900 if I want to protect my 4 years no claims bonus. Is it worth protecting my no claims for an extra £300? If I have a prang (god forbid), will my premium go up the following year even if protected?

  8. Hey guys, I am thinking about changing the orange bits on my Zed. This bumper has a different set up to my old one. The indicators are in the clear sections at the front and it has running lights under the orange plastic that are on each side of these indicators... I know where to get the 99spec rears and the side repeaters, but where can I get the replacement bits for the front? Thanks, Mike...

Is it only Stillen and Strosek that have done any wind tunnel testing on their rear wings? Can anyone confirm this? What is the best spoiler for increased stability at high speed? And I don't want to know about those horrible, stick-on, chav-style picnic tables! LOL

  10. Since I picked up the car last november the clutch has been a bit on the heavy side. On the occasions when I've taken the dash binnacle out I have been able to hear hissing coming from somplace near the firewall with the engine running. Finally got down and dirty and crawled into the drivers footwell last night to find the hissing coming from the seam around what I'm guessing is the vacuum assisted clutch actuator? (Looks like a brake servo only on the inside of the car under the clutch pedal) So... It looks a complete TWAT to change and probably costs and arm and a leg and a genital? Can I just disconnect and plug the vacuum feed to it (I think it's the hose t…

i want to jack up the rear of the car, i have seen it done with the jack in the middle rear of the car , but i dont know exactly where, does anyone have a photo that shows where it is jacked up? i need to check my hicas tomorrow and the bushings.. nothing wrong just checking things through on the car. going to fit new shocks shortly so if there is any bushing gone i can do them at same time, while i do rear brake pads and shoes. so where to put jack in center of rear is much apreciated.. oh and where to put axel stands!! i got the jacking pic from the manual but its not overly helpful thanks si

Would appreciate any of the garage traders' input if possible :) I had a rebuilt gearbox fitted two weeks ago by a very reputable 200SX specialists which they supplied. I bought a second hand propshaft which looked in better nick than mine and the garage agree to swap it for mine when swapping the gearboxes. It turned out that the propshaft I'd bought didn't fit anyway as it was for an auto and the input diameter is wrong, so they put mine back on straight after removing it. I picked up the car, was a bit disappointed about not having the prop replaced but drove home. You still with me? This morning in Daventry I'm pulling away from Ben's nurser…
