Hi, to all, wonder if you can help me. To cut a long story short , MY boost guage seems to have alife of its own. Sometimes it does not even register or move, then seems to work. The car pulls very well, so cannot see it as being a turbo problem, more a vac line problem etc etc. Would any one have a way to check and sort this, or would plumbing in a greddy boost gauge ( which I now have ) sort this out. All i would need is where to plumb it in etc..( its also an electrical guage ) Any help would be appreciated... ;) Mark

Hi All - looking at the summer months engine wear prevention post earlier, was thinking..do vented nose panels really help keep the temp down..also how about uprated cold air feeds to the induction kit? (i have an Apexi) Will one of these slam panels fit/ work or be useful, if 1). An Apexi is fitted and 2). A vented nose panel is fitted? Thanks Ed

Parked the zed next to a 406coupe thing today and noticed it had brembo brakes on. They didnt look a huge amount different in size to zed calipers but should be cheaper than getting hold of skyline ones (as with all things french!) and was wondering if they would fit?

I live mid way between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings, can anyone recommend somewhere localish that I can take my Z to check its performance? Also, at these places do they offer the option to tweak the Boost controller to get the optimum performance? Doing 0-60 tests on Datascan is a pain as its hard to find somewhere to test and on the 0-60 test it often reports 63.2 MPH, so I’m not sure what impact this has on the time (5.65 seconds) I’m currently running Andy’s Map 2 ECU and a Greddy Profec B II

Ok guys so I'm new to these forums. I have three problems: 1. i just replaced the master and slave cylinders and ever since i replaced them, everytime i push the clutch in, it makes a squeeky noise. 2. When I'm driving (especially at slow speeds) my car squeeks too!!!! but if i hold the brake pedal down just a bit to where the car wants to slow down, the noise stops. 3. my a/c compressor is locked up, when i replace it, what besides the reciever/drier should be replaced along with that? (anyone have any good experiences with aftermarket parts? and if so, which ones and where?) If any of you guys know, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

there is going to be a lot of overheating issues when summer comes.so please make sure you have checked the car over correct coolant levels vital on these engines as they run so hot even worse in hotter weather, make sure you have enough coolant otherwise the inevitble will happen viscous fan,yes they do fail! so make sure yours is working fully, otherwise in long traffic with high temps, will also cause problems rad caps, again dont buy cheap imitation caps, these do not use the correct rating, and may also cause water to pressurise out the rad,OEM ones are best or speak to chris for a decent aftermarket one. radiators, koyo is by far best ;) and holds mor…

Evening folks, got a couple of fault codes from the box this evening, speed sensor and lock up solenoid. Ok i know where the speed sensor is so i can check the wiring and order a new one if need be, but the lock up solenoid, where is it? can it be tested? is it expensive to replace? and do either of these faults explain why my idle has dropped to around 600rpm and there is no "choke" function working on the car (on cold start the idle goes straight to 600 or the engine cuts out)? Thanks as always David

I've removed my engine today to change my turbos and injectors and I was wondering if I could remove the EGR and plug the different hoses? What this will change? Also, where can I find all the connecting part as nissan in France sell only the whole electric wire (2200€ ). I've some very bad plastic connection all over the car :mac1:

Howdy guys. Just something I noticed that I have been unable to clarify. Q1. The turbo gauge on my car, ya know, the standard one, mine says -7 and +7, but I have seen pics of some cars with -14 and +14. Were there two models released, one maxin out at 7psi and the other 14psi  Q2. Whats the psi boost limit on a standard Twin Turbo, and what can they be turned up to safely ? as I heard that for every 1psi its worth 10bhp :) Hope someone can clarify this for me. Thanks. Matt :)

hi guys i need to polybush the rear of my car, but I was advised that if I have this work done, there will be a small 'clunk' noise when the car takes off in 1st gear. does anyone have this problem? does anyone here know the cure for it? will nismo bushes avoid this? also if anyone can pinpoint which bushes individually cause this please let me know, as i might substitute those particular bushes for Nismo ones. Also, is it 'safe' or advisable to mix polybushes with nismo bushes? thanks darren

On the way to work this morning, my HICAS light suddenly came on and the steering became INCREDIBLY heavy, I pulled over opened the bonnet, and there is fluid all over the engine bay. Had a look in the PAS reservoir and it is empty, I have no idea about these things so any advice would be most welcome. Cheers Scotty

Hi guys, What has everyone done about declaring coilovers on the insurance. I have no problem declaring them as 'lowered suspension' but I have problems when declaring them as 'coilovers' Some insurance companies i.e. 'Admiral' took 2 days to find out whether they cover coilovers or not. It turned out that they dont! Is it best to declare them as adjustable suspension, lowered suspension or as coilovers and hope they know what you mean?
