Hi Guys I'm sure when I bought my car a few weeks ago there was a buzzer that sounded when I opened the door after leaving the lights on. I've had the ding, ding 60mph bell disconnected and now the lights on buzzer doesn't work. Am I imagining that I had a buzzer for the lights or are the two connected. Spencer

Hello, I'm going to start fine tuning and boosting a project 300ZX I'm put quite a few squid into already. Can anyone make a recommendation for the Berkshire sort of area. I'll be looking for trouble shooting some nagging issues in the beginning, then moving on to boosting up to around 18 -20 +psi (Already have the hardensteel in the lump, + all the engine management, uprated coolers and turbo's, paddle clutch, and loads of other stuff already ) I need to get Installed the 2nd half of the Bushing set I bought from good ole' Luke. Probably a new set of Teins ( mine look shot ) Probably need access to a rolling road, for the heavy boosting, advise me on…

Guys, My new NA idles at around 600-700rpm but does hunt a little. Does not stall mind but I sometimes feel like it's holding back a bit when I boot it. I also get a strong smell of petrol from the exhaust, not in car or under bonnet. I've yet to have a service mind so I'm assuming it might just be plugs etc...is there anything else I should look out for? There are no visible leaks either but how do I test for vaccum leaks? I'm no mechanic but am happy to do basic stuff. I managed to change my heater matrix on my old TT so I feel I know the cars a bit. Any advise would be great. Thanks Dom

Right you may have to bare with me on this one ;) My turbos went and i took my car 2 probably one of the best turbo sepcialists in the country if not Europe. They don't fit turbos as a rule just manufacture them to specification. But we had a deal that they would fit them as i was going to try a new type of turbo and if it didn't fit which it didn't i would go for a second option which was a T28/T3 hybrid. Anyway they had quoted me on fitting these turbos, while they had the engine out they said bottom end oil compression was low gaskets needed replacing and a 3 week job ended up 2 n half. now what's happening they are saying they are not goi…

Howdy all, first off - thanks for the advice in the past, really saved my ass when i got too enthusiastic trying to maintain my car. Reet - after messing about with the steering rack my steering wheel is not aligned correctly so that when the wheel are straight the steering wheel is sort of in a right hand turn position. I could remove the steering rod from the rack and fiddle with that plastic index thing but can i remove the steering wheel and put it on so its 'straight' on.

This is what one guy told me to do: Check your water level and sensor wiring on sender for temp gauge. I do not know were the sensor wiring and sender are, as I new to this car. Also, my engine seems like it idles really high? Were should it rest? Could this be a problem? Mine is 95 non-turbo, just casual driving what is the best rpm's to shift at?-for gas? Thanks for all your help and soon to be future help as I plan to start doing many things.

Well, I knew I had a tiny coolant leak somewhere but I didn't realise the engine was running quite so warm. Finally got Datascan running properly on Karputer and reading mid to high 90's for water temp. Anyone any suggestions for cooling her down other than the obvious radiator...

just went to check the handbreak shoes and i thought i would check the bushings first (good job too as the fookin heavens opened right up and it lashed down with the old thnder and lightshow too!!). i noticed on the end of the arm that comes from the hicas the bushing looked like it was frayed, after closer examination with a plastic probe i found it was split, and a grease like gunk was oozing out. can i get a pair of bushings to replace this one and the other side? and is it easy to fit? thanks. piccy attatched..
