Howdy guys. Some of you may remember a post I put on about my 300 not seaming to be that fast. Well now I have owned her a couple of weeks, all I can say is... Blimey ! Something has changed though, I did the ECU check, put 97 RON fuel in, left it 24 hrs, then a day or two later car seamed to perform a LOT better, its frustrating though not knowing how I did it. Oh another thing, the drivers seat was shorting out, sorted that so maybe it could have been electrical ? Either way am more than happy with the power now, had some sideways action in a stright line yesterday in the wet, foot to floor and she wheelspun and back end came round about a foot …

I am wondering more about my car. I am stuck in 2 minds. When I see standard Zs for sale, they seem to sell quite easy. But because mines has a couple of bits done to it, it makes it harder to sell. Would I be best to take off the alloys and BOVS to help sell her?? I now think that I will have to get the HICAS problem sorted as I may put people off buying it. Thanks for the Poll. Dave G

Nearly there with an (unintended at time of purchase) "restoration project" 300ZX (1991 uk spec(rust to prove it), manual, TT, 2+2). But having wiring problems. Following full engine rebuild, garage recommended I had engine-bay wiring harness plugs (Injector/coil?) looked at as they've gone s**t over time (usual heat related & oxidisation problems) but weren't causing any misfire/other problems. Would have thought other members will have had similar problems & i wondered what the best advice is? are plugs available from Nissan/others for soldering in to the existing wiring loom? new loom the best option? relative costs? Sorry that I'm new to this if…

Hi Guys, This may seem a bizarre question, but thought id ask it anyway :x: If you prang it, are the insurance in the right not to pay out if you have a decat, where you should have a catalyst if the car is over 1991? Basically, I want to remove the cats, but I dont want the insurance to be null and void if involved in an accident.

Ok, long shot here. Any one know what the correct threads are for the flexible brake pipes (TT J-spec). Just got some off flea bay (idiot) they have a male M10x1 thread one end and a female 3/8 UNF thread the other end. This is wrong I'm thinking. Can't imagine the japs using UNF.

Hi guys, I have bought a 300zx Twin Turbo with approx 100,000 KPH on the clock (60,000 miles). It should be ready to collect next week and I cant wait :hyper: However, I have just found out that a work colleague has had two of them and he said they are very unreliable. He said both of his kept braking down and he's a mechanic! :x: Have you found 300zx's to be reliable? Thanx
