Southbound on the M5, Tuesday 23rd May a.m. - bout 7.15. Just passed the avonmouth bridge on way toward Gordano. Looked like a nice stock example. Gunmetal grey, possibly aftermarket rims. I was northbound - spotted you coming down the hill.

OK my car is off the road at the mo as I am doing some extensive mods on the body. I start it more or less 3 times a week and let it run for around 20-30 mins. The car has always had a slight tapping deffo from the top end for about 2-3 seconds on starting ever since I have had it. now though it seems to keep tapping until I rev it and then it stops. BUT! after letting it rest on tick over it starts to tap again. the noise isnt very loud and as I said as soon as I rev it to anything above tick over it stops? I know this could be one of many things but what do the experts think? PLEASE. ( the noise could also be described as a loud tick or quiet tap. :D or somewhere in bet…

hi guys i would like to have my autobox flushed under pressure so that all the fluid in the torque converter too is changed and the strainer cleaned. can anyone recommend somewhere in northwest london I can have this done? darren

Has anybody got a border front strut bar fitted to there zed ive seen a pic on the web they look very good quality same as carbing .I belive these are made in japan can any traders get hold of border stuff thanks taff.

How do you know if you have this, what are all of the symptoms? How can you check if you have it? any tests you can do etc

hi zmates my import Z TT auto when cold it takes about 2-3 miles before it warms up and the overdrive kicks in then i have all gears working ok, is this normal for an auto with overdrive? :( regards mo

But the Z back on the road today after 6 months in storage. I am getting some very funny hesitation problems around 2000 RPM.( In all gears, manual) If I floor the car through the gears she pulls away fine no problem If however I am cruising at around 60 the minute I accelerate slightly she stumbles along , loses power before catching and going and stumbling again This is the same regardless of whether driving using cruise con or accelerator. It feels to me my accelerator cable or throttle bodies arent operating correctly on minor touches from accelerator pedal Has any one else come across this, and how did you resolve Thankz R…

Hi All. I've decided I'm going to smarten the zed up rather than sell her and I fancy a 99 spec bumper and rear spoiler. A few questions.. Is a 99 spec bumper plastic ABS (I've not been impressed with Fibre Glass stuff it's too fragile)? And is there anywhere you can recommend for these items (e.g Best Prices)? Cheers Guys. Adam

I fitted a Mongoose catback exhaust to my zed (probably the worse thing I have ever done) and now got the dreaded smoke on tick over. If I put standard mid section and exits back on will it clear the smoke problem or is my rear turbo seal now totally gone? Cheers.

Anyone know where i can get some of these to match the side skirts on my 300zx? nothing too lary, just to make it a little bit lower as it looks a bit silly with just the side skirts!

Hi budding Zed owners. Well its amazing what you find wrong with a car when it is supposed to have been fixed and in a good working condition. So much for so called quality mechanics!!!! I have no power to my high level light, rear heated screan, or reversing lights. Is there a link with the three, or a fuse I can not locate. Thanks everyone. Barry

Im hoping to get round to fitting my braided hoses this week and was wondering whats the best / easyist way to service my calipers while ive got the brake fluid out of the car? Just a general clean and freeing up or more to it?

Does anyone have a spare relay (they would like to sell) for the horn and cruise control, the one that goes under the passanger wing. My cruise and horn work intermittantly and need to get it back working properly again so i can book the car in for the MOT. thanks dave

do z have chokes or something but it is not just when the car is cold, just every now and again when you press the gas she comes down but sticks at 2000rpm i can be driving an hour as soon as she is put in park she goes to 2000rpm not all the time though. i have cleaned throttly bodies cable not caught or anything any help please???

A nasty little dent that I somehow didn't notice before buying the zed. I still would have bought the zed if I saw it but still its not nice to find. So how much do you think it will cost to fix up?

ok, in an attempt to raise my boost to 15psi i just fitted some mig tips in place of my crap manual controllers. the tips were very small compared to the pipe they are fitted in, but i tried anyway, first the car would not boost above 12psi as normal, then both pipes came lose so they were both unattached......and my boost shot up to 20psi, yet they were not connected to anything, how the hell can this be?

As above, when i start to accelarate i hear a fast tapping noise coming from the engine. Also i still have the oil leak, andone got any ideas? Im about to fill the oil up again before i got out :headvswal

the TPS is giving a reading on the datascan so does this really matter for the running of the car?

Hi Guys I started a tread about this before, but I have more information now. My speedo doesn't tell me the correct speed I'm travelling, so I borrowed my mates SatNav yesterday and can confirm the following...... My Speedo is 10mph out, so when my speedo shows 30mph I'm actually doing 40pmh and when my speedo shows 50mph I'm doing 60mph etc. So does this just mean that the needle was put on in the wrong place? It's a Jap import with new dial. If this is the case then I just need to move it round right? Sounds easy, but there is a pin sticking out from the face of the dial which stops the needle falling down. So if I remove the needle isn't t…
