If you increase your boost by say 1psi, what sort of increase in power are you likely to see? would it raise the bhp by much? and would you feel a NOTICEABLE difference in the car? from 14 to 15psi

Right new engine fitted blah blah taken 4 months blah blah I wont bore you with that but now we have the new problem. They have disconnected my heater matrix due to one of the pipes to and from it being damaged but now the "water is not flowing properly". Having had a heated conversation with them on thursday I have been told to back off and leave them to it because there is "no way its the engine theyve supplied" and its my ancillaries that are suspected and im to stop ringing him "he doesnt have to mend problems with my bits" and ill be the first to know when its done. Ive left them "taking off the relevant hoses and checking for blockages etc" which is fine for now but…

Hi to all just a quick one, bov setting screw at the back if i set mine fully in, it seems to work well and get better woosh will this have any side effects being all the way in mine is a auto.. ;)

firstly the car is missing its air filter :confused:, where's the best (ie. cheapest) place for an apexi cone filter? i've had a quick look around under the bonnet and i've noticed a small device at the back next to the battery. its small and round, about 1.5 in diameter and 1 inch high with a braided hose coming off the bottom leading down behind the engine, it looks like a minature actuator, and its a HKS part, but i've looked on their japan, usa and europe sites but can't find it listed :confused: i would post a pic, but not sure how :slap:

mega pi55ed off today,i took the car for a rolling road and to my surprise they said they couldnt do a power run because it was running way too lean(air to fuel ratio of 44/1)i'm guessing thats bad,they said even on 0.5bar the car was too lean to make a run. I have never heard any detting from the car and it has one of andyp's stage 2 chips in it plus an apexi S-AFC2(which was setup to run "very rich") i have had a full service done yesterday and also as per a previous thread found the temp sensor plug to have been loose(fixed that too) any ideas? thanks in advance :bow: Paul

EGR, what is it and why do people block it off, is it something worth doing as the engine is out? found a kit on amz and wondered what it was and done.

I would like to include Chip tuning sections for JWT etc etc, and areas for Fuel computers, boost control, injection systems etc etc You could use it to build FAQ's, post results, Hint tips, and general ECU topics and chat? I just finished fitting my short shifter and wow massive difference! Probably helped by the fact that there was nothing left of the old bushes! I then decided to attack the door speakers, thinking they were just rubbish 6x9s. I have already bought a pair of pioneer 6x9s for the doors. On ripping off the covers, to my horror I found that the stock speakers are not 6x9s but 3" speakers with a port to the side! DOH. Anyone know if the cut outs in the stock door panels will fit 6x9s? Has anyone fitted them in the doors before? How much do the door panels have to be modded? It started raining at this point so i decided to call it a day after spending 2 hours fit…

This is a strange one Basically the car doesnt kick into power as well as it used to at low down speeds it doesnt seem to be boosting properly either (0.5 bar) However if i go out onto open road and boot it at 60-70 it whacks found to full 0.6 bar and acts normally and really goes! Im at a loss now.... :rant:

Where is the cheapest to get this, online or at a shop, searched internet, someone must know a bargain place? :bow:

Just after driving my car for a about 10 mins this morning, i found a lot of steam rising from behind the engine (when looking forward into it) and water leaking out the bottom. It was making a hissing noise so gave Mark from Zen Garage a call who just told me to keep the water in the radiator topped up before trying again. anyway, got it home now, still leaking water as soon as i put it in. anyone know where i might be able to get this looked at without the garage taking the piss and leading me down the garden path!? Hi, Any one know anything about solid replacements in alloy i think, to replace the rear subframe bushes ? Is it worth doing this or just getting some uprated rubber ones ? If i do fit the metal ones , whats the difference in noise level ? Has anyone already done this ? I have already bought the solid replacments and wondering do i have to completly remove rear subframe or just lower a little bit ? Cheers

I've seen some post from a few guys on here who've had your seat re-upholsterd. After a bit more searching it seems the kits all come from z-centre. Who are they? Where are they? & How do I get in contact with them?

So me next job is I want to remove the Hicas unit and pipework from the engine bay, can anyone tell me please the sequence of removal for this ? I have a N/A power steering pump to fit, an N/A power steering pot and if need be will fit an Hicas eliminator kit as on my website, 8th item down http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/susp.php Is it a case of remove unit and follow the 3 feeds and rip em out ;) fit new pump and P/S pot and hicas eliminator ? anything need plugging ? cheers smithy

How do i get to the powerlight bulb in the dashboard for autobox? Its either been disconnected or bulbs blown at somepoint. Cheers

Just done a search guys, but to no avail :confused: Very close to buying a set of new 18's for the car, they are staggered width, 8.0's on the front and 9.5's on the rear. The question is......what tyres do i need to go for ?(size) ie. profile and width. Am curious as to what you have fitted on urs? and do u have any issues with clearance with HICAS?? recommendations?? the wheel package is purely wheels no rubber, so i gotta get them seperately, and yeah ive got the wheel size calculator, but that just confuses me lol. Noticed today my reversing lights have stopped working. Tested all bulbs & fuses, all seem ok. Is there some kind of relay i'm missing or maybe a connector on gearbox? (Manual Jap import 1991) cheers for any advice... :bow:

This must be something everyone has experienced!! 12v/13w capless bulbs for the High level Spoiler Brake light. Accesory Shops/ Lucus/ tradeparts dont keep them- Nissan dont even list them!! Nearest I copuld find had a much larger bulb that wouldnt go through bulb holder. Has anyone found somewhere that sells them @ a reasonable price- or where I can import them? Will buy 10 @ a reasonable price. Regards Dave

not another 1 I hear every1 saying :rofl: just cant get the bloody thing working activated it ok got all the drivers installed windowas wizard did it its self downloaded the 1 off blatz. connected plug to the grey 1 by bonnet release in drivers footwell, connected to laptop via usb started up datascan clicked on connect said invalid port so read previous threads on how to change ports an could find what port so just tried 1 - 9 an 3 was the only 1 that didnt give a invalid port box. so tried 3 an wont connect :headvswal only data reply, log analyser, an nds activation boxs are highlighted(already activated) any help aprecited g…

Got the Datascan cable and software yesterday, set up and working OK, all dials displaying on the main data screen fine, then suddenly the screen stops working. Trying again today I cannot get the multiple display to work, see attached screen shot as this is all I get. The dashboard works OK and I can select different reading and they display OK so I am getting info from the ECU, but this main screen refuses to budge. I've removed and re-installed the software and no change, has anyone had a similar problem or have any idea what might be going on? Cheers, Gaz .

I have found a pair of R33 GTS-t 4 pots that another forum user wants to sell.... They're going on a Z32 N/A, along with 322mm dia discs (30mm thick). Will these callipers be big enough for the discs?? I don't want spend money and end up having fitting problems etc .. I am running 19 inch rims so space should not be a problem. Any advice regarding this will be greatfully received :bow:

Just took the car out after doing the rear light conversion to get sum bulbs, reverse back onto my drive, started to replace the bulbs and i could hear a real gushing noise under the car!!!!!! she decided to have a P"ss!!!!!!!!! :confused: Its been dry today really and half parkedin the garage WHATS GOING ON :confused: ANYONE HELP!! is it holding water somewhere and ive disturbed a blockage!!!!
