  5. Hi Guys, hoping someone might be able to help me, i now have water leak from the back of the engine, from the threads and what i can see looks like its that little one that is a tw@t to get to, although appears that it can be done with the engine in. Anyway no chance of me being able to do it on the drive, so Im looking for someone local to york that can tackle the job, ideally done it before because i guess it would easier second time round. Know anyone please let me know. many thanks Alan

When you take your car for an MOT within the last month the old one expires, I know that he garage will date the new one to expire 12 months from the expiry of the old one. However if the car fails within that last month of the current certificate, is the car still MOTd for a month or does the failure invalidate that test certificate, even though there is a month to go? I know in the old days, you would still have a valid certificate, but these new digital ones are recorded on the DVLA database. So once that failure is logged are you no longer "legal?" I thought the same applied to new cars too - one of my company vehicles is 3 years old at the end of this …

I sold my lovely zed in Nov 2005. Infact I was robbed because I was out of work and destitute at the time. hey oh.! Anyway 300horses was the robber..... Does anyone know what happened to it, it would be interesting to find out. I know he was trying to sell it on for what I was after for it after he bought it but to be truthful I didnt want to know after I let it go. I only just come back on here out of curiosity to see if I could find anything out. Some of you may remember it. Candy paint. very sparkly!! If anyone can shed any light I would be interested to know. I still toy with the idea of geting another one.....

I must be missing something here!!! I have followed various threads on how to remove the front bumper from my uk 300zx tt but she still will not budge. So far I have removed 4 bolts from under the front center panel, all screws from wheel arches, 4 nuts from behind the lights, All screws from front air scoop. It feels as though there are hidden fixings behind the number plate panel but can not figure out how to remove it.:headvswal:headvswal. Pease help!!!:cry:

  16. After reading recent posts about the project 1 single turbo conversion i was thinking, instead of fabricating all the parts from scratch could you not (excuse my lack of knowledge) get the manifolds from the vg30det (cima/leopard) which runs a single tubo and bolt to our engines ?? Excuse me if that sounds a little daft hopefully someone will confirm or shoot me down in flames !

If you are the owner of the Blue Supra with the BBS wheels and massive exhausts that went tearing through Stirling yesterday at about 16.00 then you are a cnut. The old lady you nearly wiped out on the zebra crossing has a badly grazed knee. Her son and grandson are going to rip your f*cking head off when they find you and I wish I was there to make sure you never forget it. It's pricks like you that give every car enthusiast a really bad name :xxx:  over.

Took my car to go and get my tax disc as that had run out aswell. anyway i pulled out of my parking space and had to wait as there was stationary traffic in front this bloke in a pugeot 406 pulled out of this road on the right hand side and while i was still stationary he started to reverse into what he must have thought was a parking space but was actually me:headvswal. i honked my horn at him he stopped and then carryed on reversing into me , now i have a small but noticeable dent and scratches on my passengers side arch and bumper. the bloke got out his car and then blamed it on me he wouldn't give me any d…

Can someone explain to me the difference between standard strut and spring set up and coilovers and what works best? I have Tein on the car at present, low and bloody firm and can't decide wether to keep it that way.... great on decent roads and cornering.....but boneshaking on the crap country roads and a cause of nodding dog syndrome on the motorway! It's a second car so I don't spend hours in it and i think my thoughts on changing it are a little clouded by the great ride of my 350Z on standard set up. Might be better to throw the money at better brakes first!

My car got pretty hot last night (not to the H only top of the bar) when I checked I found the resevoir bottle leaking, so took it to the Radiator place and pressure tested it, all the water came pissing out the back of the motor somewhere, my mechanic wasnt interested in doing the job because the top all had to come off(too big for a small job) he suggested taking it to Nissan because they will have all the new gaskets etc to do the job. Does anyone have any experience with these hoses, and can I do it myself without too much difficulty.... :headvswal It happened just after I turned the boost back up to about 14psi on a long run, I dont know whether this has any bear…
