Bought my first Z last August and it's been a pretty sorry miserable affair...so far! Love these cars though and desparate to get mine fixed and sorted as a daily driver for the summer! Does any one know of a reliable and reputable Zed specialist in Yorkshire anywhere.....or even Manchester way?

I have had my auto for 4 years now and have been really happy with it. It is one of the smoothest autos I have driven and to date have had no problems with it (touch wood). I am aware that the majority of the forum favour the manual 300zx over the auto, but what I would like to know is: Does anyone that has done the conversion regretted changing ?

Bought a new steering wheel. How hard can it be to change? Tell me how do you get rid of the electrical plug for the cruise control etc under the steering column without breaking anything and with leaving the connections for the horn intact?

Guys and Gals. Ive come across a bit of a dilemma today. I refurbed my wheels the other month and brought the lip on them back to a mirror finish, and they do look good. BUT after a week of using the car without cleaning it, they have started to pit again, and even after a good polish, there not quite as good as they were when i first refurbed them. Now, i was going to change my wheels later this year for a set of UltraLite Nurburgs with black centers (the same as topless has got) the thing is, as much as i love the look of wheels with polished lips and how they enhance the look of how wide the wheels are, I just cant be arsed in polishing them everytime i clean…

I am in the process of doing a 60k service at the moment, I have just taken the old Thermosat out and it had some sort of gasket sealant around it. I am using the guide on http://www.ttzd.com and it does not mention anything about using a sealant on the Thermosat. Just wondering if I need to put sealant on it or not?

Some unusual things happened: Took the car out last night steering was heavy as tho pump went then 5 mins later was ok again. Go out to pick Girlfriend up today and heater was playing up would go hot then into aircon temp then back and keeps doing that although heater is on top setting. Noticed small spray in drivers side under where all the sterro gubbins are. But thing that worried me is the temp guage is up and down like a yo yo but no steam or anything showing. Anyone had these gremlins?

  18. Hi all, Ok japfest coming up, trying to get an mot on the car and get it tip top and ready in time. One problem the car has is it sounds tappety, guessing it has hydraulic lifters so I'm thinking oil pressure problem. Seems to only sound like one lifter is at fault (if I'm right) so maybe it's a dodgy one. Either way the gauge on the dash is a bit rubbish and seems to move all over the place. What oil pressure should I be seeing? Trying to buy a gauge/sandwich plate from Demon tweeks at the moment so I can get a good reading. I'm also using the Mobil oil you get in Hellfrauds, should I be using something different that might cure this problem? …

Right, as my bonnet is non-standard the previous owner decided to clip the washer hoses/jets to the underside so that the spray comes between the lip of the bonnet and the scuttle panel. It was working well until the hose came a little lose - long story short, the front washers don't even hit the window anymore and have lost 80% pressure! I've been searching for appropriate washer jets that could be adapted to fit under the bonnet as it is now but none seem to be right...anyone have any ideas as to what I can do? Currently, the jet is just the hose with a solid piece of metal tubing with a very small hole in it...creating the pressue to hit the screen... ..…

Its taxed till about august and mot'd for about another 6 months Everything on the car is new and there would be no problems moting it again This is not a for sale thread so dont move it its me crying at the fact that I need to give in and sell it so I can put a roof over my head.:cry: I'm serious tho.
