help!! after hving my car get a little warm last week then when i stopped it made a kinda hissing noise followed by a woosh! (honestly, no hollyhocks tho) opened the bonnet and had a load of steam (smelt of coolant) come up from by the brake master cylinder, autobox dipstick area. I thought that the heater matrix hoses had failed so removed them, inspected them (they seemed intact but one had a large bulge at the end and the other was split on the end behind the jubi clip) and ordered some new ones from Mike. Hi, I know this has been covered before but i cant find any threads. Im looking for details on converting the Japspec lap belts. Hopefully a step by step idiots guide? OR has anybody used a garage in Scotland to carry out the conversion? Any help/advice much appreciated. Cheers People.

As you all know my car got keyed a few weeks back, im not sure if it will be easier to supply the paint myself or get the garage to use the paint they got. Am I right in thinking the stock plug for the antenna lead is a 2 pronged affair? Is there some kind of adaptor you can get for it to fit aftermarket headunits? My old headunit didn't have one and I found that someone hadn't plugged it in and had simply ran an earth from it to the body of the car. Cheers Si

Thinkin about fitting a set of coilovers myself this weekend, can anyone ive me any advice, they are k-sport ones. the springs already seem to be fitted in the shock, is it just a case of whipping the old ones off, and put the new ones on? or is there more to it than that? it looks a fairly simple job, can anyone tell me of any hidden obstacles i might face. any advice apreciated. cheers si

Thought i'd share with you my recent experience. When I got my Zed about 4 1/2 years ago it had a really nice (well i liked them) set of 3 piece 17" alloys in black with polished rims. Only problem was front nearside was buckled from a kerbing. After a few weeks the tyre started losing air and on inspection found that the inner rim was cracked. I quickly replaced wheels with a set of Fox Evo's and stored the old ones. Last November saw an advert for a wheel repair place in Scotland that could repair even severely damaged rims. Hi all. I am loosing cooling fluid again. This has only started to happen since I had the exhaust repaired for the MOT. I am not sure if that would make the car run hotter but it has also stopped the white smoke problem I was having. I had the matrix done 6 months or so ago and have had the plenum bypassed. I know for a fact that there is a hole in the overflow tank but have been told that it isn't really used. Is it likely to be the overflow tank or the radiator cap. I will go and get a cap tomorrow hopefully but am I likely to be waisting my time without fixing the holes in the overflow tank. Darrell

:rant: just tryed to fit some high flow headers, whitch were suposed to be direct fit, but the lamber sencer housing on the drivers side is to tite against the stearing colloum. would it matter if they are mounted in the middle pipe insted? the car has a de-cat pipe but im not sure if the sencers have to be in a certain place. :confused: thanks guys

Can anyone tell me what is drippin from under the front corner at the drivers side of me z its a clear thickish gloop,theres not a lot but it drips quite regularly I was thinkin its maybe ectoplasm maybe theres a spook under ma bonnet :eek:

Just wanted to pubically say a BIG THANKYOU to Mackam Maz (Mark). I recently bought a new front bumper for my zed, which was for sale in Doncaster, and for collection only, causing me a problem.. Without me even asking, Mark very kindly offered to liase with the seller in Doncaster (on his day off!!), and collect the bumper on my behalf.. Mark then sent me photo's of the bumper to confirm its condition, wrapped it in bubblewrap for me, and then on Monday morning, took it to a local courier firm to forward on to me.. As title....... I have found a wire on the drivers side (R/H) that I can't remember where it goes :headvswal Just in front of the front tyre is a plug with 3 wires, red, yellow & blue. Does anyone know what this plugs into?

hopefully by the end of next month, i should be in a postition to purchase some coilovers, now what i need are prices and places to obtain (not ebay though) i only seem to be able to find tein and they seem a tad expensive for what they are has anyone got any info, or links to sites that supply coilovers, preferably in the uk
