If you hold any qualifcatiions that prove that you are employed in any technical/mechanical trade, you will be entitled to a trade card. Just take your certificate/s to Halfords and sign on the dotted line. I know that they are a rip off, but they can be handy at times.:hurl: Example. New battery £89, + discount = £37 Wiper blades £19.99 + discount = £5.07

I have been interested in the 300 ZX Convertible for some time (after seeing nice one near work) and I am now thinking of buying one (if I can find a good example !!). However, having owned a couple of previous cars with around 200 and 230 BHP/tonne respectively, my ideal starting point would be a twin turbo manual - no offence intended, however I think that the NA version would not be what I am looking for performance-wise. (particularly an automatic) As what I know about them technically would just about cover a postage stamp, please bear with me if this a stupid question, but roughly how costly would it be to pick up a decent secondhand engine and manual box an…

The Red :o ... some1 hand me a pistol! not sure why but im actually turning and starting to like it... the new wheels and suspension drop have made a sizeable input into this change of heart but maybe its because i have to like it? I cant see a colour change being financially viable in the immediate future so il have to put up and shut up! some1 tell me its all wrong, that i should detest it and that red is not the fastest colour :smw: tell me that if i like the red then i am a poof.. say something.. it cant be true... can it? i find myself specifically admiring red ones when i look at pics and videos... mainly ones from over the pond as im lurve the tastef…

Hi all, I'm in the process of finalising a new AT oil cooler kit which will hopefully come in under the cost currently advertised by the likes of ZCentre, Z1, etc, etc. However, the only thing I need to know and can't check on my own car is what the internal diameter is of the AT oil lines. If anyone knows can you please let me know - many thanks.

Hi folks, anyone have any experience with the cobra 6422 immobilizer / alarm, the immobilizer / arlarm works fine but the alarm fob does not get picked up by the car itself or central locking, the battery's are new on the fob and the little immobilizer stick works, just cant seem to get the fobs working. Is there an internal battery that could need replacing ? Any help would be great cheers Laurie

I know I have posted this before but want to check one thing, if the 02 sensor reads 0 on conzult is that - To much fuel - over fueling or Fuel unburnt - ignition Am I trying to find a fueling or ignition problem? To recap the ECU/loom/02 sensor are not at fault.

Stopped inside the Police boundry surrounded by fire trucks ambulances and police. Just behind a car on it's side and another head first into a barrier which firemen where cutting to pieces. It didn't look like you were involved in the accident as your road positioning and no sign of damage on the car showed. Myself and the wife were just interested what part you were playing in the incident. Male dirver with female in passenger seat. Was it you ? If so spill the beans.

It looks like the gearbox may be coming off soon so I might as well do the subframe bushes at the same time. The back end has been feeling really vague for a while and when powering out of corners it seems to squirm from side to side. The HICAS has been removed and it's on Koni shocks and Blitz springs that are about 4 years old with hardly any use. Is there anything else that could be causing it to feel like the rear wheels are coming off? LOL Might be best getting uprated ones as the car is running a lot of power. Where's best to get a set of subframe & diff bushes and how much? Anyone got the Z1 solid ones? I'll take the subframe out and get the…

When Hammond has done his first drop and on his way to the second fare he races a Blue Zed from the lights... just wondering if it is anyones on here? Blue with Veilside front i think it was.

As above, any advice on the best place to get these from for our cars as both mine need replacing. I was looking at Demon Tweeks but don;t really want to go down the 'universal' route was wondering if there's anywhere that makes them specifically for the 300?..... Not looking for original replacements either, preferably blue or silver?.... James

One of the major benefits from membership of this club is the help many of our members receive when carrying out modifications etc to our Zeds. I've had an idea for a while now which could benefit many of us even more...... by having a club TECHNICAL DAY/WEEKEND. It would comprise a national meet, somewhere fairly central, where subscribed members who need help and guidance carrying out some modification/repair/service/upgrading/etc. to their Zeds could get together and, under supervision of some knowledgable person, carry out the work required. The 'some knowledgable person' might be a knowledgable volunteer member and/or a qualified Zed mechanic who would…
