I have several rusty parts on me Z :( namely the rear O/S outer sill and rear arch. I darn't look anywhere else :nelson: I have got a repair panel for the sill and a good arch that was cut out of a car a while ago (cheerZ Pete) Now I was going to get my body shop guy to fit, prep and paint these but I have lost confidence in him as a "welding expert" Don't get me wrong, the paint he does is superb. So I didn't want him to fit the panels just do the paint. So I told a few guys at my work, one of the guys I work with and another in a different department said I/we could do that for you, bar the paint. Im trying to establish what series my UK Manual TT is. Its on an M reg, log book says manuf 94, but im searching for other ways to locate if its a series 3 or 4, Have checked this link http://www.300zx.org.uk/model_variations.htm, but still no clearer, both front seats are electric and heated, full leather throughout, including armrests, the door cards are in black suede. Has the heated mirrors on the rear window heater, on checking the base of the seatbelts, it says 1995. What else can i look at to tell me the series, as most of it is pointing to series 4 and possibly a 95. Any advice would be a always grateful. Cheers Stu

noticed a few spots of oil now and then on the road, only seems to be when ive been reversing and steering at the same time :confused: car doesnt get through mega amounts of oil, but i did need to top it up a little this morning. would it be coming from the steering somewhere? its black oil, and the power steering fluid level hasnt moved since i bought the car, lol!

how accurate are the stock guages really? my water temp guage used to stay around the halfway mark but after a cambelt and waterpump change its all over the place. sometimes halfway, sometimes just randomly dropping to nothing..its started doing this quite regularly. also the oil temp guage. mines in kg/cm2 but at best reads about the 4 mark, very rarely reaching the halfway mark. and when its hot idling it shows almost nothing. lastly..backfire/popping. how normal is this? mine has a decat and it pops and bangs when slowing down and occasionally when i change up. it happens at lower revs. 3k>1.5k. happens all the time. sounds good but i just wanted to know h…

I was thinking of doing this myself but have recently been told it's a nightmare and not to bother. Sooo is it a right sh*tter of a job and should I take it to a garage?? If so about how much should it cost?? I have done a fair bit of work on the car myself but never a clutch on any car so am a bit weary. Im losing brake fluid in bucket loads, did 7 miles this morning and got through most of the reservoir !! Are there any 'comon' places the lines fail etc???? Before i have to trace the brake lines. Can't see any fluid around the reservoir etc

has anyone got a pic/imfo etc of the barcket used to fit R33 GTR discs 324mm to standard calipers. i got a bracket ages ago from blackmagic and not sure what they were used for. are the brackes flat with different hole ro are they offset ?

I have been interested in the 300 ZX Convertible for some time (after seeing nice one near work) and I am now thinking of buying one (if I can find a good example !!). However, having owned a couple of previous cars with around 200 and 230 BHP/tonne respectively, my ideal starting point would be a twin turbo manual - no offence intended, however I think that the NA version would not be what I am looking for performance-wise. The Red :o ... some1 hand me a pistol! not sure why but im actually turning and starting to like it... the new wheels and suspension drop have made a sizeable input into this change of heart but maybe its because i have to like it? I cant see a colour change being financially viable in the immediate future so il have to put up and shut up! some1 tell me its all wrong, that i should detest it and that red is not the fastest colour :smw: tell me that if i like the red then i am a poof.. say something.. it cant be true... can it? i find myself specifically admiring red ones when i look at pics and videos... mainly ones from over the pond as im lurve the tastef…

Hi all, I'm in the process of finalising a new AT oil cooler kit which will hopefully come in under the cost currently advertised by the likes of ZCentre, Z1, etc, etc. However, the only thing I need to know and can't check on my own car is what the internal diameter is of the AT oil lines. If anyone knows can you please let me know - many thanks.

finally got round to doing gearbox diagnostics (which is longest on the 3rd flash - throttle sensor) and have now got the power light coming on when ignition is turned on then proceeds to flash 16 times (everytime) i assume this has some relevance, can anyone enlighten me???

Hi folks, anyone have any experience with the cobra 6422 immobilizer / alarm, the immobilizer / arlarm works fine but the alarm fob does not get picked up by the car itself or central locking, the battery's are new on the fob and the little immobilizer stick works, just cant seem to get the fobs working. Is there an internal battery that could need replacing ? Any help would be great cheers Laurie

I know I have posted this before but want to check one thing, if the 02 sensor reads 0 on conzult is that - To much fuel - over fueling or Fuel unburnt - ignition Am I trying to find a fueling or ignition problem? To recap the ECU/loom/02 sensor are not at fault.
