Think my rear turbo seal has gone, not too sure just what the other thread was going on about. when I start the car it seams ok till i put my foot down, then I leave a lot of smoke behind me, smells alot too. after about 5/10 mins it stops and all is fine it only does it first thing when its cold. does it sound like them? If it is them is it ok too drive and how much will it cost for parts?

I've copied from another thread the following link, http://www.300zx.org.uk/model_variations.htm and am interested to see that a series VI Zed has CLEAR rear lights, and that's BOTH sets of lights...the indicator lights AND the brake lights. Does anybody know where I could get my sticky fingers on a set of these?

At the back of the engine bay on the drivers side there are loads of vacuum lines going to two small square boxes which the loom plug into. One runs to a metal pipe on the plenum on the underside (near the brake cylinder) which then comes out at the back of the plenum near the coolant line for the turbo. Anyone one know what it does?

Iv'e been searching the forum for reasons why my passenger window won't work, and came accross a few posts saying there is a black box under the pas door panel under the handle (same as on driver door) which controls just the passanger side window, well ive been out and half removed the panel as cant remove the whole thing beacause the window won't go down :headvswaland there is no box, so i tried a new pas and driver window switch and a new control box on drivers door but still the window does'nt work, can anyone spread any light on this as i don't know where to look next......thanks jay

As you probably know I´ve been having problems with excessive pressure in the fuel tank. I checked the carbon canister with a bypass but came up with the same problem,,so on Tuesday I threw the Walbro pump out and put in a brand new TT OEM pump ...what a difference !! I thought the car felt slower on pickup with the Walbro pump but put it down to imagination but now going from OEM to a Walbro and back to the OEM pump I have to say they are worlds apart...so if you pump breaks..in my humble opinion try and get an OEM replacement :D and..after fitting the OEM pump the excess preasure has dissapeard from the fuel tank...so Topless you were right all along mate …

Unsure what to do. I've been umming and arring regarding going to the States for a few Z festivals this year. I was originally going to Turkey with my girlfriend at the beginning of next month. Well, I've decided to knock it on the head with her due to me not being able to cope with her personal issues. I've decided I am not going to go to Turkey, even though I've paid for it. ANYWAY, this has left me at a bit unsure as to what way I want to go. I now have the option of going to the big mid-west Z festival in Branson Missouri in the second week of May. So I'd go for Wednesday (fly to Fort Smith) till Sunday. Reasoning behind this is that I have the 'possibility'…

Got the Z taxed yesterday after being away in hibernation for the winter. I've been working on the interior anyway, so it's pretty bare inside but took it for a spin anyway. Was nice to take it out again. Car was rattling and crashing around due to it having only 1 door card in it and 2 front seats! Sounded terrible. But the door I have completed sounds great though. Door card looks ace, fitted loads of sound deadening in it, replaced clips etc and it shuts with a nice quality thud now. Battery was almost flat but it was enough to get it going. Sounded lovely as Zs do. Realised how much I need to do my suspension as the 'squelch' that comes from worn shocks is much m…

if it hasnt been done i suggest this forum and database is backed up as soon as possible. in the past two weeks a lot of sites have gone down due to a very nasty iframe attack thats doing the rounds. it has hit several of the dewtailers websites that advertise on detailing world, which led them to back theirs up, same with most of the other car based sites, and general websites. my website was also compromised by this as well. if the staff here do a search on yahoo or google for iframe attack, you will see that its gotten very bad this past fortniht and many sites are being hit as it progresses down the search engines and links etc. the ifram atta…

Hi all, My car makes an ominous creaking noise (sometimes more like a short rattle) most apparent in cold weather. It sounds like it's coming from behind the dash (inside the car) under the steering wheel or in the pedal box area. Makes no difference with clutch/brake pedal pressed or not, and it happens going over bumps in the road and generally just driving along, braking, steering etc. I don't think it's suspension related because it definitely sounds like it's inside the car. I've lubricated the bonnet hinges and bonnet stay and taped up the bonnet striker so it's not those either. Sounds like it's something big making the noise (like the whole dash mov…

I have several rusty parts on me Z :( namely the rear O/S outer sill and rear arch. I darn't look anywhere else :nelson: I have got a repair panel for the sill and a good arch that was cut out of a car a while ago (cheerZ Pete) Now I was going to get my body shop guy to fit, prep and paint these but I have lost confidence in him as a "welding expert" Don't get me wrong, the paint he does is superb. So I didn't want him to fit the panels just do the paint. So I told a few guys at my work, one of the guys I work with and another in a different department said I/we could do that for you, bar the paint. So i thought cool  we'll get together and try and sort som…

Im trying to establish what series my UK Manual TT is. Its on an M reg, log book says manuf 94, but im searching for other ways to locate if its a series 3 or 4, Have checked this link http://www.300zx.org.uk/model_variations.htm, but still no clearer, both front seats are electric and heated, full leather throughout, including armrests, the door cards are in black suede. Has the heated mirrors on the rear window heater, on checking the base of the seatbelts, it says 1995. What else can i look at to tell me the series, as most of it is pointing to series 4 and possibly a 95. Any advice would be a always grateful. Cheers Stu
