General Discussions - 300ZX Related

As title, can anyone recommend an insurance company, Zed & Import friendly, that I could approach for either a short term (6 months) or limited use (ie; 1000 miles) policy? Just trying to find ways to still use Eliza over the summer/get her into a mechanic for tests etc. Any info would be appreciated. TIA Dave

Thanks alot for changing my tension rods for me!!! and the loan of a drive and tools and tea!!!! :duffer::bow: Car's handling has now changed DRAMATICALY, the old bushes where knackered. The new poly bushes are nice and tight :dance::dance:

a mate who dont have a computer has just got a 300zx twin turbo is just running a filter and d kat pipes but is also been fitted with 555s and a fuel pump what sort of power should he have and what dose he need to make best use of them

Finally fitted it this afternoon :dance: however, I'm having trouble setting it up. I took the passenger side kick panel off to gain access in running a power cable through the bulkhead. Now I noticed something that I haven't noticed before, the little silver box next to the ECU wasn't connected to th plug that's dangling below it. Can anyone tell me what this is and why it may have been disconnected? Thanks

How may i acquire the software? It was on my laptop, sent by email to me, my lap top`s broke so is there any chance of me getting it from somewhere?

I know this comes up a lot, but whats the best petrol? SHELL Vpower? BP Ultimate? tesco super unleaded?(I know its crap but is it ok to run my car on?)

got my hids yesterday, no instructions but there are only two wires to connect. where do they go? is it on to the low beam connectors just before the old bulbs?

Got the Z started up for the first time in months today and after a good warm up gave it some revs and played a few tunes with the engine. Sounds AWESOME! I'm hooked again. Just need to fix the clutch now to get it back on the road. Decided to get the Border bonnet out of the shed that's been waiting to go on since last summer when the clutch failed. I think it looks stunning on and really suits the car. It's the finishing touch to make the car exactly what I've always wanted as I've never quite been happy with the old bonnet I had. It's been roughly primed and sprayed over with a tin of silver paint so it doesn't look quite so silly as the blue it was pain…

having a blond moment...... where the temperature and pressure sensors have 2 wires (signal and ground) the drawing that came with the sensors show 2 wires running from the sensor to the gauge. is there any reason why i can't just run the signal cable and ground the sensor to the chasis in the engine bay and the gauge inside the car?

jet washed car drove away normally then spluttered and cut out starts revs once cut out took seonsor on air filter off runs ok but only revs to 2 to 3 thousand revs have apexi filter might got wet plus tried jetting gearbox from underneath and maybe back of engine turned ecu screw i think code 12

I was watching U tube today about a 10sec 300zx over the quarter, in the writing belwo the lad who owned it said that all TT's came with forged crank and rods and pistons were the main week spot is this true?

What was the point of that?! The poll said that the majority were in favour of a split but the last but one post by big kim said that the majority wanted no change, so why post the poll?!

I know the radiators are different but are the caps the same? What about series 1,2,3,4?
