:o Hi guys - I'm after a new battery and popped to Halfords at the weekend and was shocked to find that a new battery cost £92! :bow:Is this unreasonable or am I just out of touch with the cost of batteries? Any idea where I could get a cheaper one from? Cheers ;)

Hi again everyone, Does anyone know what I can check to find out why my Zed is cutting out under acceleration? And by cutting out I mean it feels like I'm stamping on the brake... I recently put a splash guard back in as I thought water was getting onto the MAF (a previous owner had removed it for some reason) and things have been considerably better. However, after leaving the car for a few days while I went away, it's playing up again today. It's damp, but certainly not wet today, so I don't think it's water on the MAF. Can it be a damp/furry connector somewhere? If so, where should I be looking? Could it be a boost leak? If so, how the hell do I check? …

On my way to work a black 300zx went past me by the M4/M5 Juntion Heading into Wales. Had a single exit exhaust.

Everytime my Zed hits a speed hump there is a knock that comes from the front of the car, sometimes its from the nearside and sometimes the offside, sometimes it clunks from both sides, Its been doing it for a while now and hasnt seemed to get any worse but want to fix it anyway, also when the car is up in the air there seems to be no play in any of the steering or suspension parts... What do you suggest it could be, i thought maybe the drop links? cheers guys

On the Euro Spec cars they have a Pump Cancel Relay Situated next to the Oil Cooler Relay, whats that for? Does it cut the fuel in a rear end smash?

hi z mates can someone help me, the hicas light comes on and stays on, i have topped the power steering resovior right up but the steering seems a bit heavy. any ideas thanks big mo

Just roughly sprayed with a can from Halfords so it doesn't look so bad until I can get it to the bodyshop. I know it's patchy and not a perfect colour match before you start! [/img] [/img] [/img]

anybody have a pic of the Fuel Pump Relay and the Fuel Pump ECU?

code 34 is dett sensor i no i tyed the res thing in the engine bay but the part that goes to the sensor is missing i cant find it looks like sum plonker ticker than me has messed about with it before thae chap at the garage i got it from was called coming to my house today but cant make it till tue he said he will but the res near the ecu will that work ??????? or anyone got anymore ideassssssssssssss thanks

Been offered one of the above, dont know anything else about it but its free and coming off a good mate, what else would I need? bigger injectors? boost controller? what?

Ok, not really Zed specific but seeing as how the windscreen is on a Zed. Has anyone had this done? Is it advisable? Can it only be done on certain size chips?

As title, can anyone recommend an insurance company, Zed & Import friendly, that I could approach for either a short term (6 months) or limited use (ie; 1000 miles) policy? Just trying to find ways to still use Eliza over the summer/get her into a mechanic for tests etc. Any info would be appreciated. TIA Dave

Thanks alot for changing my tension rods for me!!! and the loan of a drive and tools and tea!!!! :duffer::bow: Car's handling has now changed DRAMATICALY, the old bushes where knackered. The new poly bushes are nice and tight :dance::dance:

a mate who dont have a computer has just got a 300zx twin turbo is just running a filter and d kat pipes but is also been fitted with 555s and a fuel pump what sort of power should he have and what dose he need to make best use of them

Finally fitted it this afternoon :dance: however, I'm having trouble setting it up. I have set it exacty as John suggested here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=108422&highlight=settle in Post #5 but I'm constantly getting the Warning and Peak Boost is going right up to 187 :eek: Can any one offer advice or assistance please ? I took the passenger side kick panel off to gain access in running a power cable through the bulkhead. Now I noticed something that I haven't noticed before, the little silver box next to the ECU wasn't connected to th plug that's dangling below it. Can anyone tell me what this is and why it may have been disconnected? Thanks

How may i acquire the software? It was on my laptop, sent by email to me, my lap top`s broke so is there any chance of me getting it from somewhere?

I know this comes up a lot, but whats the best petrol? SHELL Vpower? BP Ultimate? tesco super unleaded?(I know its crap but is it ok to run my car on?)

:cry:fed up of my z allready all my mates are taking bets as to how long it will be before i change it again anyway is there anyone that can take a look at it for me today may be point me in the right way only had it a couple of weeks got it from a garage nice chap had water leak he changed the rad still dont think its right heater not blowing to hot and im running in code 34 tryed the res thing not worked but it had been unpluged and i cant find the other end im in worsley manchester by the way chears :x:
