Just a little update for those of you that know Eliza and for anyone else who gives a gnats ass!! ;) Eliza is now officially 'Off The Road' for the foreseeable future! Basically the Tax is out tonight and insurance is out next week, so I've bought a small run-about (a Rover 220SDi Turbo) which I'll be using as my daily from now on, with a view to putting Eliza back on the road sometime in the future. It's not just running costs that are against her at the moment, she still has all of the following problems...... No turbo boost! Leaking rear crank seal Buggered O2 sensor Possible shot HICAS arms + a few other niggly little things Along with th…

With the recent "Antiroll bar size" related threads recently, and since I had each of the various types lieing around I thought I would take a few pics and measurements for future reference. The U.S spec Bar shares the same size bars as the UK TT, and the pics clearly show why the U.S Sourced Polyurethane Anti roll bar bushes wont fit the Jap roll bar. Jap Import Non-Turbo - 17mm Hollow Jap Import Twin Turbo - 21mm Hollow UK Twin Turbo - 27mm Hollow Aftermarket Whiteline - 22mm Solid

I know that the fuel tank is usually under pressure and that when you remove the petrol cap you can hear some air being sucked in, but since the weekend I seem to have a problem with excessive pressure in the fuel tank to the point that the fuel pump starts to act up causing the car to stutter and making it almost impossible to drive. If you then open the fuel cap you can hear a serious amount of air being sucked in and the car runs perfectly after that until the "excess" pressure builds up again after about 150-200 kms. anyone got any ideas what could be causing this ?

In previous posts I had no reading from the left 02 sensor and also when I ran a power balance test on Cozult the results were always diferent, usually at least 2 cylinders failed but it was diferent ones each time? So now I have fitted another 02 sensor and a new loom but nothing has changed! O2 still reads 0 Power balance test - diferent ones fail each time. I am out of answers, can someone help. At this rate I will be going to the Welsh meet as REO in an Audi!!!

Just picked up the new Japanese Performance mag, they have a good article on a 240Z with a SR20 engine. On page 123 they list the data and ratings for the 300ZX (UK) and FairladyZ import which is pretty good (4 stars). However, this comment caught my eye and irked me a bit - "Supercar performance, fulfilling handling, ultra low prices, but an image problem." Anyone have an idea on what image problem they are refering to? I know I am frequently asked about the reliability of my car (very good, thank you very much). I also notice when I attend large meets with a good mixture of cars the 300 can be a bit overlooked, even though it is one of the best looking car…

Marcus (wheelman), I believe that I saw you (or at least your car) broken down just coming up to the battlefield roundabout in Shrewsbury. I was the passenger in the grey focus who helpfully watched as someone pushed you off the road! (you were half off the road when I realised what was going on to be fair)

I thought id plug this company a bit seen as they are making my rose joints to match the crap ones that 2fast2cool sent me. They sell heavy duty kevlar/PTFE Liner rose joint with boots if needed at a fraction of the oem price im having mine for 7quid each inc postage. Im having 2 matched for my rear camber arms which are maintenance free im also considering new track rod ends for when mine have had enough, the sell all the bits required to fit, spacers washers even just the rose inserts. They have a catalogue which i have attached, they also sell gauges which i havent had a good look at but are a good price. Alot of their products are not listed in the catalogue …

hi everyone, ive checked out the forums quite a few times but only just joined up. Ive been after a 300zx since the first time i saw one about 7 years ago (my mate had 2, which he sold on to another mate, so i used to be around them all the time and fell in love). however as i was only 19 at the time (25 now) the idea of getting and getting insured on a 3 litre TT was beyond me so i settled for a something a little smaller. Now im soon going to be in the position of investing in a 300zx and im pretty excited. I've read up quite a bit on them over time, as from my first visit here a few years ago i learnt that they are a bit of a guilty pleasure, and not the most practical…

Just to let everyone know, I am now the proud owner of a 1990 300zx TT SWB T-Top Black Jap Import (I'll get some photos uploaded when it's clean)...BUT I've got a bit of a problem with the car blowing PTUs at the moment and I could do with a little help working out what the problem is. I've checked the PTU for continuity and it's dead so I know I definately need a working PTU but would like to find and fix the problem to prevent it from blowing another one. Does anyone have a cheap working S1 PTU I can buy to test the car with? (I know it'll need a S2 eventually but don't want to fork out the extra money in case it blows it again) The PTU is getting it's 12 volt feed…

i know i shouldnt be worrying about fuel in these cars and generally i dont but recently the car has been using SO much fuel. im getting about 180 miles to a full tank. this is mainly doing motorway journeys with NO boost as i have a massive boost leak somewhere and the car wont go above 3.5k rpm while moving. it has a jwt chip, straight through exhaust, induction kit and stage 1 turbos...whatever that means. there seems to be alot of problems all coming at once now, on my way home today the tempreture guage just dropped to zero and didnt move but everything seemed fine. thanks, Joe
