Ive fitted a new power ariel to my Zed, ive put the earth to earth and the live to a permanement live... However i have put the blue (remote) onto the remote connection on my amplifier so when i switch the radio on the amp comes on and the ariel goes up, it works fine as it goes back down when i switch it off... However, speaking to a friend earlier he tells me i should not put my remote to the amp as i could damage something... Is this true?

Hello, anyone got a Miles Per Gallon (or KM/L) guage? Where would one begin? Is there some software which works with a conzult connection already? From what i understand, this is common on OBD-II ECU's. I figure that it would be measurable (with a little maths) from the injector pulse rate and knowing fuel pressure (variable) and injector pulse (also variable) width ? Are there devices which could simply fit before, say the fuel filter, to measure unpressurised flow - though i realise this would be a buffered reading and perhaps better for cruising anways? Cheers.

Ok I think this is probably the last resort before it looks like I need a new autobox or take it to someone who knows loads about these cars. My question is "Speed sensor" are TT and NA the same or does it not matter which goes in ? coz at about 20mph the gearbox cant make its god damn mind up so it knocks me forward and backwards till I go faster or slower. For the moment am having to pull away in "Hold mode" but on long motorway journeys its absolutely awesome and so economical I think (enfield - Bournemouth on 1/4 tank o.O) I done most of the Idea's I found, last thing is speed sensor in teh gearbox =D Also remember seeing the speed sensor fault on …

Would it be normal for a Z32 TT to have a flat spot? I once took the stock air filters out for a while and let the car zoom through to 80 with no flat spot at all, just great accel all the way. After replacing with new air filters, and cleaning the MAF sensor, it now seems to get to about 60'ish with a slight hesitating and somewhat annoying flat spot. Btw, it's an Auto and I'm in drive at the time, without the overdrive, power or hold switches on. If I stick her in 1st with power and overdrive, it of course zooms, but still, the same flat spot when I move into second at around the 60 mark. Any ideas? Or is this normal behaviour for an unmodified…

Just thought I would share this, it may help someone with a similar problem one day. My Z32 was doing mid-130's at the time (someone else driving of course?!) and the engine missed a heartbeat, then another and another and then the revs started dropping quite rapidly. After pulling over, it stalled but started again. It would drive up to about 2,500rpm but not over, i.e. sounded like it was rev-limited. Finally got back home and turned to the internet thinking it was a sensor, CTS perhaps, or MAF. I opened the passenger footwell cover and put the engine diag. into Aux mode and saw that the car reported that it was the MAF sensor which is likely to be play…

Hi all, When I try to activate my alarm, the central locking no longer functions and as a result, the alarm does not activate. It's a Hawk CAT1. Any ideas what I should be checking, is there a relay or special fuse to check under the steering? When I try to activate the alarm, the indicator relay activates and the lights flash, however, I also get another single clicking sound from the front of the car, behind the steering wheel - if that helps. Just thought somebody might know about this, before start clutching at straws?!! Many thanks, Alex

Hi all, Firstly feel my pain, my TT is only about as quick as a 1.6 Civic on the motorway (probably not standard, I only just crept past it), and last night only about as quick as an old shape Celica GT. I'll get it on Conzult tonight, it might not be running right, feels ok though.... it's just wrong. Just been searching through the forum. I ordered a Apexi AVC-R to try to sneak a little bit more boost and see what boost I'm actually making. I've just realised to get extra boost I need more than just the electronic boost controller, I need a chip as well. What is my easiest, simplest option? Quite fancy a Jon Dixon chip (haven't seen any for sale). F…

Had a knock in the car a few weeks ago, hit a barrier head on and damaged the front end. Have replaced the front bumper and headlights and centre panel this weekend but now it looks like the accident has pushed the passenger side headlight downwards so now there is a big gap between the bumper and headlight. I wanted to know if you can get a new bit that the headlights mount on, not sure if its all connected to the slam panel or not or even how it joins to the rest of the car (i am hoping that it bolts on). Does anyone know if i can replace this piece or do i have to have the original bit pulled out and lined up? Also since the accident the car does no…
