Speaking to some of my mates {car buffs} they said that mods on cars arent to everyones taste and that a standard car looks pretty when kept standard, mods that are done to supplement the cars looks, are better than agressive looks ,so does this thread make sense to any one

been looking at getting an oil cooler for my autobox, can anone tell me how hey did theirs ? was looking at a 16 row oil cooler on ebay and get lines made up at my local pirtek. but some info on how other people have done it ( pics are a bonus :)) would be a great help. thanks

EDIT- Start at post 6 My car starts fine every morning and drives great But.. If i turn it off wilst its still warming up, say to go into the shop, then turn it back on it drives like an absolute tard. It idles about 450rpm and wants to stall at every junction (sometimes does stall) But... If i let it warm up wilst having this issue then restart the car it drives ok again, and If i give it a quick blast it drives ok again. But... If i sit on idle it starts to feel as if its missfiring slightly but... If i restart it wilst warm i dont get any problems Any idea's?

What would be preferable for my 300zx NA: New Nissan 300zx TT brakes or New Nissan 350Z brakes? I can't get NA Nissan brakes because NA's were never on sale in South Africa.

well been having a bit of a problem with my front wipers for a few days now but they have eventually given up on me. they were giving a bit of a clunking noise when the left the bottom of the windscreen now they have stopped working altogether. also they now move freely when i push them. thinking its just the wiper motor what do you think?

My Zed has stopping locking centrally, but it still unlocks centrally. Any ideas what could be causing that? Phill

im sick of the heavyest clutch in the world! couple that with the engine hesitation when you set off its begining to piss me off id rather have gone for a TT auto instead of an NA manual!! same price most of them so my advice to ppl is sod a manual box there knackering!! (unless its just mine) i always thaut jap cars were reliable? are Z's the exception to the rule? mates na supra never brakes down and he abuses the crap out of it!!!! grrrrr wish i still had my redtop calibra!!

Hi all, i need to know how many horsepower supports the stock engine(without open) of the 300zx Twin turbo. And what are the common modification to get them but trying to not break the engine? I think one mod is to raise the turbos pressure, how many psi? Thanks!!!

What have people done for sump upgrades to avoid the dreaded oil starvation issues with the vg30dett around corners? Baffles? lower pickups? trap doors? dry sump? Whats the easiest option? What can i buy? who will do it? can i just drop the subframe or does engine need to come out? Cheers

Wondered what this pulley is for everything eles is going round and car seems to be fine. As much as i could see in the dark it dont look like it is turning will check again in the morning. See attached photo with part highlighted in white. Best photo i could get.

Hi all, before i describe the problem, I'll tell you that I have an intermittent fault with the dett. sensor which I have re-located to ther upper plenum in the usual place, which sometimes doing a diagnostic reads 55, sometimes 34, i don't know if this could be a factor.... The car idles perfectly until warmed up fully, then starts to drop to about 600 rpm for 1 sec ish, then up to 1100 for a sec ish, and keeps doing that for about 30 secs, seems to sort itself out, then does the same again about 10 secs later, but revs and drives fine, until i stop and set off again, then hesitates before going, then fine (it's an auto)... Perhaps a vacuum leak somewhere? I wo…

It seems to be almost mission impossible these days to sell a modified Z for anywhere near what it's worth (and by that I don't mean how much you spent on it). I'm not just reffering to mine here I've had a look through the for sale sectionand any decent Z with a sensible price is just not selling. Seems like people are only buying cheaper stock ones or sheds. I'm wondering if when I do actually have to sell for real rather than putting it up for sale and not bothering if I get a buyer just yet. Would I get more money breaking it ?. The shell is rust free, it's got so many goodies on it which I'm sure would sell. I'm just thinking that it may be the easier opt…

After a turbo timer, i have a blitz harness so i take it i need a blitz timer? and where's the best place to get hold of one?

Anybody fitted a Viper V2 front bumper to their car and if you have, have you any images of how it looks (full frontal, front side etc)? Is it suitable for a side mounted intercooler upgrade? I can see its shape on the Z-centre website, but doesn;t show it fitted. I am debating to add either it or the 99 spec front bumper to the wish list :) Thanks
