yet another question!my car has leather but its got the nasty tweed under the dashboard and on door cards.I have noticed on later and uk cars it has a velour type material?i want to know how hard it is to remove the tweed and recover in sexy grey alcantara which i have found at £18 a square meter.i also want to remove the plastic trim on the targas which has gone brittle and retrim,has anyone done this?:rolleyes:

As title....... Just got off the phone after talking to Jeff (ZedWorld) for quite some time regarding what we can do about Eliza. It's now looking like she'll be 'Trucked' down to ZedWorld (that's because she doesn't have an MOT, Tax or insurance at the moment), at which point she'll be examined as to the extent of the boost problem and, basically, we'll see from there as to how much it's going to cost etc. Then there is still the small matter of an MOT to be done before I can have her back on the road, hopefully for next summer, although she won't be looking as good as she used to, but that's down to the paint problem on the front end. Used to know this one, but never having done it myself am not so sure now, anyway.. converting a jap spec interior to a UK spec, fitting UK seatbelts in the B-pillar, as the UK spec is pre threaded in the pillar ?? and the Jap spec ain't, how do you attach the main securing bolt for the belt to the b-pillar folks ? :) Thankingyou... Hey guys and girls I am so sick of a particular squeek that I have taken drastic measures. To re-create it I had to stand on my car and jump up and down what it showed me was that a squeek occurred in time to the movement of the front ARB. Anyone got any tips on what part it might be? Bushes brackets etc? I'm gonna get under it and get it off and try and grease everything up. Just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem. Cheers

Hi 300 lovers,this is my prob. Ive just put a replacement engine into my car,and it wont start.The symptoms are as follows. 1.I have no spark 2. have no fuel getting threw But wot is happing is,when the ignition is turnd on fuel is pumped up to fuel filter,which says fuel pump is working,im told this is my primery which indecats that the ECU is working,i have power going threw to the ingectors,but once engine is turned over i have no spark and no fuel,ive been told this could be cause of my crank sensor,is this correct or is there something els you think it might be that could cause these symptons.If it is crank sensor were is this located, my car is a 1991 n/a a…

For the last week or so I have been hunting around for some Targa bags and missed out on Flebay. Yesterday whilst getting my scissor jack out (for a perticular tyre fitter :mac1:) I found 2 in with the spare wheel....:dance: saved me a few quid and a 'oh crap whats this in my boot' moment.

:(I'm looking to sell my 92 uk tt manual 160k miles loads & loads of service history and the only real problem is the tailgate could do with some tlc. mot'd & taxed until feb 09 i would stick 12 mot on it. What price's are these selling for at the moment before I make a decision on selling? The only reason i'm asking is my company car is up for renewal and i would like to buy it in lieu of my Z. my zed has developed a squeek, not dissimilar to a duck on heat, its so loud i can hear it in the car with the stereo turned up (believe me its turned up as i try to ignore all the looks of people saying look at thet idiot in his big fancy car that sounds like a randy duck) anyway back on topic, it is coming from the front left suspension, it happens on any uneven road, pot holes, drain covers, speed bumps, or if i bounce up and down on the front left wing. i recently had new front tension rods which werent as hassle free as i hoped and i'm wondering if they are still at fault, i also have bigger front brakes. so finally getting to my question: is this a t…

I like the ride I have with my Z which as far as I know is standard. But I do fancy lowering it. I have read all of your views on whether it's right or wrong. But never the less I may have to find ouy for myself sometime. But it dose seam expensive for the full job. So I wondered for an entry level to fit lowered springs but not with a hard ride. Might it just need tracking or could it be camber? It's a 65,000 mile car on original suspension and after market 18" wheels.

Some of you may know that a few of us did a reconstuction day for the police regarding handling of a 300zx TT today, although it was for a coroners report as unfortuately the bloke driving killed himself we re constructed some manovers for them to try and determind what happened etc... Just wanted to say I had a fantasic day with great company(even the coppers, they were top blokes & camera woman). I think we learnt a few things on the tests we did and the police got the results needed. was wondering if anyone has a new or second hand manual gearbox and relevant associated parts and how much they would cost? possible fitting costs aswell if available ( but probably going to fit myself ).

Going to remove complete air con system due to weight saving and was wondering if i will need to get a new smaller belt or does it have its own and are there any other problems i will encounter?

I know the oil pressure gauge in the dash is really bad but what is normal for it to stay at? Mine can go from 25 at times and when i put the heaters on it will go to around 50 :S???? Also what does your car idle at when it is fully heated up? Mines currently having fun from 300 to 800 and trying to stable idle, if i turn heaters on it will go to 1100 and hold fine. But if i turn heaters off and slow down at a junction sometimes it will completely stall. I ran a consult and it came up code 54 (i have a chipped auto ECU inside the car and my car is manual). hey guys! when i picked the xed up the hicas light was on, searched on here and found it just needed tooping up! did that nad the lights been off for a cupl o days, now the lights come back on? are there known faults or certain points where the ps fluid would leak maybe? any help mucho appreciated! :confused:

round the top gear test track, what time would he get? then how fast could he go with a fully sorted one? just wonder how are cars compare with modern ones.
