Some of you may know that a few of us did a reconstuction day for the police regarding handling of a 300zx TT today, although it was for a coroners report as unfortuately the bloke driving killed himself we re constructed some manovers for them to try and determind what happened etc... Just wanted to say I had a fantasic day with great company(even the coppers, they were top blokes & camera woman). I think we learnt a few things on the tests we did and the police got the results needed. We did have fun also and I'm sure there will be a few pics up soon, and a copy of the video once edited after report is concluded. Nice to meet Nick32z in person, top blok…

was wondering if anyone has a new or second hand manual gearbox and relevant associated parts and how much they would cost? possible fitting costs aswell if available ( but probably going to fit myself ).

Going to remove complete air con system due to weight saving and was wondering if i will need to get a new smaller belt or does it have its own and are there any other problems i will encounter?

I know the oil pressure gauge in the dash is really bad but what is normal for it to stay at? Mine can go from 25 at times and when i put the heaters on it will go to around 50 :S???? Also what does your car idle at when it is fully heated up? Mines currently having fun from 300 to 800 and trying to stable idle, if i turn heaters on it will go to 1100 and hold fine. But if i turn heaters off and slow down at a junction sometimes it will completely stall. I ran a consult and it came up code 54 (i have a chipped auto ECU inside the car and my car is manual). Also i cant go over 6K rpm, i have been told this could be loads of things, but the last ptu died a w…

hey guys! when i picked the xed up the hicas light was on, searched on here and found it just needed tooping up! did that nad the lights been off for a cupl o days, now the lights come back on? are there known faults or certain points where the ps fluid would leak maybe? any help mucho appreciated! :confused:

round the top gear test track, what time would he get? then how fast could he go with a fully sorted one? just wonder how are cars compare with modern ones.

Hi Team, I've a 1990 TT and I've just stripped the engine. My question is the plug was missing from the knock sensor so I've repaired the wires and just put a single small "lucar" connector. I say single because although 2 wires come from the top the black wire folds up and is taped in against itself. Is this right or should 2 wires go to the sensor? If it has just one wire which side does it goto as you look at the sensor? Any ideas? regards, Jase

Hi I have just bought my first zx today its a twin turbo model. The seller told me before I bought the car that it was not boosting, this didn't put me off too much as it was a bit of a bargain. However I obviously want to try and sort the problem out and was wondering if anybody has any ideas of what is the likley cause or any checks I can do to try and diagnose the fault. Any help would be great :)

if i floor my car in first (possibly hitting the limiter) the engine seems to flood, it misses and basically takes a while to get back to normal, im asuming its floding somehow, or could it possibly be a coilpack breaking down under load, only seems to do it when i floor it in first then go into second gear any ideas

Hello. I have bought a front bumper from ebay a few weeks ago. I was hoping to get the lights i have on my car put into the bumper, which would mean cutting and reshapping it - meaining the guy was putting the price quite expensive, t*SS*R. hay guys the barings have gone on my idle/tension pully. dont know if theres more than one but the one i need is the one that keeps the oil pump belt under tention where is the best place to get a new one?

Hi all, The Zed was running ok last week, I unfortunately left the interior light on and flattened the battery :slap: Recharged it, (off car), went to start up and she wouldn't fire up. Cranking well and trying to fire up but never actually getting there. There is a strong smell of petrol, so I think that I may have flooded her. Given that weather conditions up here are pretty cold and damp, am I best removing all the plugs and drying them out or hoping that they will dry out themselves in situ? Thanks in advance

just chucking around a few ideas. such as buying a tt block and upgrading the internals with high compression na pistons skimmed heads ported and flowed heads. which is stronger a tt block or an na block :p

still trying to sort my headlight fault, i think there should be an earthwire by the relay box, however on mine its not there? where should this wire go to? as i explained in a previous thread, my headlights are playing up, one is dim, the other is ok, i have checked the bulbs and they are fine, i also checked the relays, i pulled both relays out and tried swapping them around, both relays seem to be ok as they ok in one of the relay sockets but not the other! any ideas??? hope this all makes sense!

hi got bit of a problem with the glass in my front doors.The tops of the glass could do with been pulled in a few mm if possible as there is a slight gap on the top corner of both doors!any help much appreciated!
