Hi all, The Zed was running ok last week, I unfortunately left the interior light on and flattened the battery :slap: Recharged it, (off car), went to start up and she wouldn't fire up. Cranking well and trying to fire up but never actually getting there. There is a strong smell of petrol, so I think that I may have flooded her. Given that weather conditions up here are pretty cold and damp, am I best removing all the plugs and drying them out or hoping that they will dry out themselves in situ? Thanks in advance

Sunday 7th December at about midday. Didn't catch the plate. We were in a 5 series Beema, Wife was driving. Gave you a flash on the high road just past the nissan garage.

Red zed...stickers everywhere....complete with dodge viper style white stripes over the entire length of the car...parked up north tonbridge area on the A26...Sunday morning Grey / gunmetal Zed driving about in Rochester @ 1pm Sunday

just chucking around a few ideas. such as buying a tt block and upgrading the internals with high compression na pistons skimmed heads ported and flowed heads. which is stronger a tt block or an na block :p

still trying to sort my headlight fault, i think there should be an earthwire by the relay box, however on mine its not there? where should this wire go to? as i explained in a previous thread, my headlights are playing up, one is dim, the other is ok, i have checked the bulbs and they are fine, i also checked the relays, i pulled both relays out and tried swapping them around, both relays seem to be ok as they ok in one of the relay sockets but not the other! any ideas??? hope this all makes sense!

hi got bit of a problem with the glass in my front doors.The tops of the glass could do with been pulled in a few mm if possible as there is a slight gap on the top corner of both doors!any help much appreciated!

Well after covering a stupid amount of miles in the last couple of weeks. Have yet another week were I will be driving the Zed a lot. So Sudbury - Derbyshire to Bracknell on Monday then off to Colechester Colchester to Tunbridge Wells then Tunbridge Wells to Sudbury - Suffolk on Tuesday Wednesday Sudbury - Suffolk back to Sudbury Derbyshire.... :dance: It's excellent being able to drive most of the week and get my fuel paid for (can't wait for the tax return :nana2:).

just intested to know if anyone knows precisely how much petrol is left in the tank when the low fuel indicator starts to glow?..its always a good thing to know!

still having trouble with my headlights, want to check the relays but they are quite hard to pull out and im worried about braking something, is there a knack to pulling them out?

been meaning to investigate my car key a bit more for ages now just got round to it. b4 i got it it was kept as the spare key but i have used it as my main one since i owned it. on the top it says 'takeo kikuchi driving' and has a TK symbol on it. anyone got one of these or know anything about it?

Small (3mm) thin piece of insulator from spark plug went down the hole into the chamber. Any ideas for getting it out? What are the odds of a cockup if I just fire up and see if it goes out with the exhaust? Thanks.

I am not interested in max bhp figures, but I do think I have comfortably outgrown my 300 -350bhp having run stockish TT's for 5 years. I've had induction kits, exhaust, ecu and 1mm boost jets before (I'm guessing maybe 350bhp?) What is the most useable power you can have in a TT ans still have an everyday usuable car with lots of torque and little lag and still keep a good idle? Oh and what needs to be on the shopping list?

2 quick questions, the demister on my rear window has never worked since ive had the car apart from 2 small 2p sized sections in really random parts of the glass, ive read rear windows for a uk will fit imports and are half the price if bought brand new, is this correct and where would i get one, do i just call nissan and get them to order one?? second question is i cant get my car to blow warm air through the vents, what is this likly to be, ive seen something about a heater matrix which i might have a go at swapping over with one off a breaker, anything else i would need to check for?? cheers

Hi guys just a quick one! My zed is almost ready but yesterday I removed my battered water logged spoiler with a view to replacing it , however I like the look of the back end without it! I've seen a panel on zcentre to fill the gap but was wondering how the handling will be affected. How much downforce do they produce and if I remove it do I need to add a diffuser or splitter to make up for it! Any advice is most appreciated cheers!

Im trying to source the bulb connectors for the fog lights in my Lambo lights. Tried Zcentre but cant get any response. Can anyone help?

Now the zeds back on the road i'm gradually sorting out the niggles, one thing that is really annoying is this vibration that comes on from around 20mph - 40mph then lessens, its quite bad as you can feel it through the seat. Many thread searches would lead me to believe its either the autobox rear mount or prop shaft centre bearing or both, its a 1990 J spec TT auto, if i take it to my usual spanner monkey will they be able to tell which it is by looking at either of them? I'm not too bothered about flash upgrade parts like one piece props or nismo mounts, as i don't plan to keep the car for ever would stock nissan parts suffice?

At 1820 today turming left on the dual carriageway by McDonalds in Macclesfield.

Since i have been suffering with some vibrations I took the zed to another garage this morning for another wheel alignment and balance of my 17" Momo arrows.... but ended up buying a set of 19" Toyo T1-S for my vortex evo's instead. I have to say it looks the mutts nuts, and the great news is the vibrations has gone!:dance: really odd though is the ride has really improved now I'm on 19's. I was expecting a much firmer ride and more tyre noise, but it's the opposite - the car is much quieter now than before.

I know it's possible to get the car to idle with the MAF disconnected, but can you drive with out it for a short while ? The reason I ask is that ever since I fitted the Doolz, I'm suffing WMD (Wet MAF Disorder). After a fari bit of rain, some gets onto the filter and soaks into the filter itself. Next time I try and start the car it will choke and not rev above 3k rpm. So I usually have to take off the filter and maf, put the filter in the over to dry out and then put it back together and all is well. However to dry out properly it takes a good hour, that's (not with the oven on). I'm supposed to be at the lakeside meet by 6pm and I know I'm not gonna…

Just a big thanks to the people at Zedworld. Had an assessment of my new Zed and apart from a couple of tweaks was looking good :dance: The coffee and chat was excellent and will hopefully (not due to the car going bang :x:) down again soon for the scheduled maintenance :):):)

Aparently they are avalible for swb z32s any body got one or any pics of one fitted to a swb thanks taff.:)

:confused: Just opened my boot for the first time in a while and water poured out of the plastic trim all over the rear speakers. Is there a common place the water gets in?
