General Discussions - 300ZX Related

My new rear centre light panel arrived today. Its the standard Nissan one that lights up green. There is about one metre of cable with two huge block connectors at the end (1 female & 1 male) I presume these bridge some connection somewhere, correct? Where do I plug them into? Cheers, Dan

whats the best suspension setup to go for? ive noticed that my zed is like driving a barge! n i hate it, always hard stiff cars, basically i dont want to lower her i just wanna stiffen her up. therefore is a street kit better or coilovers better? and at the same time what would be benificial in replacing along the lines of bushes? balljoints? etc...... all help is much appreciated guys! once the new year comes in ill be paying a subscription too! :wack:

Im shocked to find that the price for a jap imported windscreen for the 300 is £1800 and may have to wait up to 8 weeks for delivery! Glad im getting it tho my insurance as i would never of payed that:mac1:

got a quote from carol nash was good. Forgot to add the mods. Will phone them for a requote.problem is I want classic it's an import and slightly modded. who else would insure in this bracket?

ive removed the re-circ PIPE from the standard valves, so the actuater pipe is still conected on the top, and the actual valve is still connected to the large pipe. is this the same as a dump valve now? is it venting to atmoss? or is the noise i can hear "goose honk/pigeon" and the recirc is doing nothing at all?

under heavy braking a high pitched squealing noise from under dash checked the threads here and found funkysi had same problem (funkysi when online can you tell me how you got it fixed) is it hard to fix or replace and were is it plus my brake warning light lights up when i brake no brake lights are out and brake fluid is full so is it related to the brake booster any advise welcome.

Hi again guys, from Sunny Perth, Australia (well, not so sunny at the mo but let's not go there) I fly out from Perth on the 13th Dec, and will be in the UK for 4 weeks ish. If i can, I'd love to catch up with a UK club meet and/or cruise I'll be in Kent most of the time, BUT also in Birmingham for the latter part of the first week of my hols, into the weekend. Then back to kent then possibly to Sommerset (chedder) for a day or 2 after new year... possibly if those movements fit in with any club meet, and I can make it, it would be awsome ill bring the vid cam :D cheers guys

im having a bit of trouble with my door rubbers slightly leaking.i come out in the morning to find little puddles on the top of each door card.ive been told its common but i havent been told how to fix it.any ideas?and is there an easy way to get rid of the jap speed limiter i think its time it come of:D

Couple of questions. Drove my Zed for the first time since my test drive today. Was taking the car for its MOT and it was freezing outside , anyway the car seemed really sluggish. As it was freezing outside I was very reluctant to put my foot down, didn't want to be wheel spinning! only took it up to a little over 2000rpm but it did seem quite hesitant and slow on picking up. The bloke at the garage said that autoboxes can be sluggish in cold weather until they have warmed up, as i've never had an auto before I don't know if this is true or not. Should I be worrying about this or is it normal? Could only drive the car to the MOT station and back as it isn…

I have a UK tt Z and I havnt started it up for nearly a week now, it has the correct amount of antifreeze in it and starts and runs perfectly all the time. However, I still dont plan on using it while this cold spell is here and who knows how long it is going to last. So, what am I best doing? Leaving it alone? Or Starting it up and letting it reach temperature? If I do am I best waiting for the weather to thaw out or am I best starting it asap? Its the belts I am mainly concerned about, dont want the cold to crack them... what do you guys recommend? Cheers, Dan

In a turbocharged car whats causes the chattering noise when the accelerator pedal is released? Also, is the noise a good sign or is it causing damage to something? Cheers guys, Dan

im after a vinyl strip to fit under the rear spoiler as i took mine of coz it was tatty.any ideas were to get one?mines a twin turbo import with the spoiler with the brake light,cheers guys

have fitted new hids and are really happy with them but sometimes when i come to turn them on the drivers side doesnt always come on first time it flashes and go off but if you turn them on and off a few times it stays on have noticed it seems to be worse when everything is cold any body else have this problem if so is there a fix

Just got one to replace mine with and it looks like a straight swop:dance::dance: 300ZX £200 PRIMERA £70delivered Gonna fit it at the weekend , any probs i,ll let you know ;)
