Hi, fitted an N/A diff etc to my SWB TT, but of course the propshaft dosnt fit. I have the N/A prop, which is too long, and my shorty prop which dosnt fit the diff. Can I swap various parts over or is it an N/A shorty prop only. What is the best way forward, please anyone? Cheers

Just had a thought about when I was insuring mine...... I use Endsleigh and I told her it was a 300 zx tt import ..... ooooh we don't do imports.... oh hang on is the the same as a Nissan Fairlady ? Yes says me it's one of those because that's what they were called in Japan.... Oh that's alright then says she, it's on my list, must be because they were available both here and in Japan lol Been isured with them for nearly two years, those who know me know about the stupid woman who reversed into me in the car park..... Insurance paid out for a new wing etc and got the legal assistance working on it, got a full payment from the other insurers without an…

Hi I'll be looking for some new wheels in the New Year and really fancy these. Seen a lot of talking of 18" and 19" fitting with no problem but what about these 20" monsters. Love that deep dish look on the rears. Would they fit my standard UK TT un-lowered or higher model? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140283150535&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:Watchlink:middle:uk

My car is in Swindon and i would like to have the old Clifford alarm removed and a new alarm installed. It is a Clifford avantgaurd 2 i believe which has autostart. The car is now being converted to a manual and i dont know how the autostart function will behave with that. Can anyone reccomend a company or individual that can carry out this work? The car is basically a bare shell so access to the wiring is not an issue! I also have a Toad Ai606 alarm which is still connected to the wiring loom from my old Z. This alarm was basically new and it would be ideal if i could get it removed from the loom which is sitting in a box at present! Any ideas?

Right, now that I have had the car for nearly a week (and done 600 miles in it) I have started to uncover some minor niggles. With it being that time of year, I am using the heater quite a lot, I have noticed that I have 2 options when selecting the fan speed, it is either off or full whack (No 4). Will this be a connection issue (maybe a dismantle and clean) or do I need to replace the switch??

Hi. Without prejudice. I got bumped into by a neighbour last week, only dented the wing. The woman who hit the zed said 'i will ring my insurance', i rang mine (the a*) who organized a hire car. All going well, until a letter arrives today 'vehicle claim not accepted, vehicle uninsured' :slap::headvswal They are saying that as i got the insurance through 'c*mparethemarket.com' , who dont have a tickbox, or any indication of a uk,or imported car, that i failed to declare its an import.Would i like a quote for new cover :mac1: How i didnt swear at them, i dont know. So, i'm stuffed, i've rung + been polite, been firm, lost the plot+ shouted, but still i'm not…

It's about this time of year we always lose at least one zed to slippery roads covered in mud, water, ice and anything else that's remotely slippy. So this year i'm taking it upon myself to say: These cars are a bugger in the wet so... ...STOP DRIVING LIKE A MUPPET... ...just wait till it gets drier and warmer!

I saw a red uk LWB, alloys going along Bulwer Avenue and then parked up at St Sampsons south side, about 12ish I think. Then a silver jap spec going up Rue Maze in the traffic and you turned off left. Bizzare, I can go weeks and weeks over here without seeing one and I go to a little island in the channel and see two!!!!!

What a lovely sight, a nice new engine bay loom......gulp. Thank God Jimmer has fitted one before. Hopefully this will help to alleviate some of my problems that I am currently experiencing due to so much kit being spliced into my current engine bay loom. There is so much that the floor board over the ECU will not screw down, it is a right mess and most of the kit has now been disconnect from any power source. Back to square one I hope.

where did he get a dizzy for his zed :D:D:D hi i have a '89 300zx 2+2 , i just bought this car off of an old lady and nothing has been done to it except regular maintenence so i bought all the tune-up parts and a timing belt and tensioner. Before doing any work to it the car was running fine. My friend is helping me out because i dont know nearly as much as he does but on the other hand he has not had much experience with 300zx 's. Back to the problem we put everything in ... ngk spark plugs , ngk wires , distributer cap + rotor , fuel filter , pcv valve , air filter , and then the timing belt and tensioner with the spring , also put a valve cover gasket set on becau…
