All I can say is wow...... I was pulling into my street tonight (to the left) and noticed that when I put my indicator on there was extra light to the left. Sorry if this sounds stupid but I thought this sought of idea was quite new on Merc's and so on :hyper: Anymore suprises that you lot need to tell me.....??????

it idles at around 1100 rpm and hesitates when you accelerate and is shite slow and a mate who drove it said it was misfiring?!?!? if i plugged a datscan or a cunzult thing in would it tell me whats wrong?

Hi. Without prejudice. I got bumped into by a neighbour last week, only dented the wing. The woman who hit the zed said 'i will ring my insurance', i rang mine (the a*) who organized a hire car. All going well, until a letter arrives today 'vehicle claim not accepted, vehicle uninsured' :slap::headvswal They are saying that as i got the insurance through 'c*mparethemarket.com' , who dont have a tickbox, or any indication of a uk,or imported car, that i failed to declare its an import.Would i like a quote for new cover :mac1: How i didnt swear at them, i dont know. So, i'm stuffed, i've rung + been polite,been firm,lost the plot+ shouted, but still i'm not…

It's about this time of year we always lose at least one zed to slippery roads covered in mud, water, ice and anything else that's remotely slippy. So this year i'm taking it upon myself to say: These cars are a bugger in the wet so... ...STOP DRIVING LIKE A MUPPET... ...just wait till it gets drier and warmer! :tongue:

I saw a red uk LWB, alloys going along Bulwer Avenue and then parked up at St Sampsons south side, about 12ish I think. Then a silver jap spec going up Rue Maze in the traffic and you turned off left. Bizzare, I can go weeks and weeks over here without seeing one and I go to a little island in the channel and see two!!!!!

what gose in an engine dress up kit and how much?

I know nissan never made a slicktop lwb but to my surprise theres is a lwb 2x2 with a steel solid roof outside a tunning company in colchester .Its a wide arch car with a tailgate tub .Doesnt look like its been welded on looks factory .Is it possible its been cut from a 2 seater slicktop or are they too short for lwb cars im confused.:confused:

What a lovely sight, a nice new engine bay loom......gulp. Thank God Jimmer has fitted one before. Hopefully this will help to alleviate some of my problems that I am currently experiencing due to so much kit being spliced into my current engine bay loom. There is so much that the floor board over the ECU will not screw down, it is a right mess and most of the kit has now been disconnect from any power source. Back to square one I hope.

where did he get a dizzy for his zed :D:D:D hi i have a '89 300zx 2+2 , i just bought this car off of an old lady and nothing has been done to it except regular maintenence so i bought all the tune-up parts and a timing belt and tensioner. Before doing any work to it the car was running fine. My friend is helping me out because i dont know nearly as much as he does but on the other hand he has not had much experience with 300zx 's. Back to the problem we put everything in ... ngk spark plugs , ngk wires , distributer cap + rotor , fuel filter , pcv valve , air filter , and then the timing belt and tensioner with the spring , also put a valve cover gasket set on becau…

hi guys, rite the passengerside exhaust is poofing out blue smoke now i thought it was the oil seal in the turbo but somebody said it might be the pcv i removed the pipes and the drivers side it sucking very well but the passengerside doesnt suck asmuch and there is a small ammount of water in each pipe (is that normal) and i have a faulty knock sensor aswell (which looks like great fun to change) so basically i am asking if the pcv would cause that side of the engine to burn oil or is it infact the turbo and would the knock sensor cause the overfuling and black exhaust tips even after as little as 10 miles

What colour are the standard factory balance bars seen some black and some a gold ish colour just wondered thats all.;)

When i first prchased my zed the driver window was a bit dodgy, if i wanted to take it down i had to hit the switch up first a little before the window would go back down and eventually it stopped working all together and now its really f*****g me off!! any ideas on what the problem may be andho to f this?:wack:

Hi, my stock boost gauge is not working, well, it twitches a little when I rev the engine, but that's it... I will be fitting an aftermarket one at sometime, but would like the original to work, can anyone tell me where the pipes etc. or whatever could be causing it are located, or if it is a sensor? Hi all, I think I have a faulty or cream crackered dett. sensor, but the loom isn't as good as it was, is there a test to check if the wires to the ECU are sound? (ie. using a multimeter, certain resistence, voltage etc.) Cheers guys.......

Seen a black z the past few Tuesdays parked on the Trinity building car park at Newcastle-Under-Lyme college. Clean-looking lwb manual na import with racing hart wheels (I think). The owner (a young lady:eek:) caught me admiring it the last time I saw it but I was too surprised to find it was a girl driving it to speak to her before she drove away lol :headvswal Anyone know if they're a member on here/who it might have been?
