sailed straight through, no advisories. The only thing the examiner pulled me up on was the hazard switch. I have pulled my pods out so many times, testing led conversions that it wouldnt push in to operate, so he let me adjust the switch and passed it. The only other thing i was concerned about was, having no rear reflectors on the rear lights due to having 6 pot venom leds, but didnt say a word :hyper:

Was interesting! First time with rwd in the snow and I can report that its useless! :headvswal No chance of getting up the slightest hill, better after letting rear tyres down but still not good! Went to drop my son off at his mums on the way to work, got about half way up her road at tickover in 1st, 3mph then lost traction. Few revs saw me climbing up the hill sideways but still making progress. I then saw a clean patch of tarmac where a parked car had been and gave up there. Then spotted that I was now parked opposite a side road that was a steep downward hill toward me. Some bloke comes down the road all locked up, front wheels at full lock. Ermmmm…

Hello people, Got a bit of a problem here. My twin turbo is acting rather strange. It starts fine, runs fine when driving normal, but when I put my foot down, it just dies out.. It is a manual UK spec which is stalling on me when I put my foot down.. Any ideas what to look at?? Best regards, Zee..

When I bought my zed it had a large bore single exit exhaust. It is really loud and meaty which some people might prefer, but I would prefer a quiet ride. Is the stock exhaust any good or is it too restrictive? What after market exhaust is the best compramise between noise and performance?

Some may remember this thread recently link I got in touch with the guy based on the original thread on tt.net and he's given me a call back today. They're looking for another 1 or 2 standard (ish) cars to help them out next Monday, 8th December at 12noon till 2pm. Location is Transport Research Laboratory Crowthorne House, Nine Mile Ride, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 3GA Essentially it's a runway and they'd like to do some hard accelaration runs and record some parameters to help their investigation. They're looking to cover you're fuel and maybe even replace your tires! Let me know if you can make it so I can pass on your detail…

Oh my god, acceleration is mental, god knows what power its putting out, but it feels a lot quicker than my stock one. Mods are jwt 530 tubs @ 14psi, forged engine fully rebuilt, godspeed ic's 555 injectors, rps clutch and lightened flywheel and pulley set, koyo rad and electric fan, egr and water bypass, full exhaust and new wiring loom, probably missed something. What would the estimated whp be at the momment and what do u think it would be when I fit an ebc, highest setting at 24psi? I cant wait.

I am now half way through my d.i.y. 60k service and am at the point of refitting the cam & crank seals. The cam seals were no problem, they were reasonably easy to fit and position, the problem is with the crank seal. Now I had no problem getting it over the 'step' on the crankshaft as I used the thin plastic strip technique, the problem I have is the positioning of the seal. The camshaft seals fit so that the face of them is flush with the surround, but on the crankshaft the seal seams to have gone into the recess about 1-1.5mm. Can anyone tell me if that is right or not? The seal is sitting straight, but I am not sure if its gone in too far. I don't want to car…

My LED sidelight bulbs started flickering. I checked them out and both bulbs have melted a bit. Looks like they've got hot - part of the plastic housing has gone brown and softened and warped. I think they've been in the car for about 18 months. They were not cheap and from a good supplier. If you have 6000K HIDs you need them of they look very yellow compared to the headlights. I've got the old bulbs back in as a temporary fix and new LED bulbs on order. Hopefuly they'll be better - LED technology seems to have come a long way recently. I'm glad I've taken the melted ones out - if they'd got worse maybe they could have caused problems. I'll post a pic…

Filled up my Manual TT yesterday morning, reset the trip counter and filled up again tonight having covered 640km's (400 miles). I only needed to put in 55 litres to fill it up again!! I work that out as 33.33 mpg giving me a full tank range of 512 miles on a 70L tank. I wasn't on an economy drive, just a lot of motorway miles this weekend.
