Is there a way of checking if your car is currently taxed? I've had a dig around the site and not found anything yet. I think I've dropped a clanger :o :( :slap:

Hi all, my name is Alex and I´m from Argentina. I allready had an honda Prelude VTI (197 horsepowers) and now I´m looking for more power. The best idea is to get a 300 TT but now I dont have that money so maybe I will get an aspired 300. I need to know if the aspired 300 has a significan more power (I´m not meaning final velocity, just pull power) than the prelude vti. I know that the 300 has 222 horsepowers but has more weight. Someone help me with this? Maybe in the future I can remapp de ECU of the aspired 300 and get more Hp´s, how many? do you know? Thanks all!!!!

Still umming and arring about EBCs. I'd still like a small Old-skool boost controller, but found out that A'pexi manufacture the AVCR in black. Just wondering, can someome measure the dimensions of it? Just want to see how big it is and whether I can fit it somewhere descretely in a recess.

I've tried to insert an image on this, but don't know if it will work! There is a T-piece on one of the vacuum pipes going to the IC (i think) on the left hand side, it is bunged up at the moment, is that where you would connect a boost gauge to? There was one in the car when I bought it, but wasn't connected, if I can find it I'll connect it up, could do with a genuine reading! Cheers...

I've just been looking through the paperwork that came with my Zed (Trudy) :-) and there is a reciept for the fitting of 1mm boost jets, what do these do, where do they go, and is there any power benefit? It has a Mines ECU which I whink was fitted at the same time, other than that (as far as I know) she's stock... I've done a full re-build, 1mm oversized pistons as the bore was crackered, and re-con stock turbos. After she's run-in, what's the estimated BHP? It's a Jap import 92 auto, just curious :-) Cheers...

In the test that was conducted against the Vito Van with the ABS turned off, it is said that all 3 Zeds locked up the wheels under heavy braking (although this is disputed as we have seen on the thread). Also on that thread it is said that upgrading the brake disk size only effects the initial bite of the brakes Next point - JeffTT (Zedworld owner ???) detailed a very good outline of the ABS system on another thread, how ABS works etc and why it won't work with a lot of upgrades. Am I silly in thinking (or missing something somewhere) that what is the point in upgrading calipers & disks, customising brackets etc which can cost a heck of a lot of time and mon…

Over the past few weeks my starter motor has been fooking about. Ive got a spare from my breaker to put on, but tonight the starter has had enough and being a complete bast**d instead of a turning sound its more of a whine and defo not starting. Im sure its now well and truly flooded. Im changing the motor tomorrow, what do i need to do to get the fuel flood out. If after putting on the new motor i disconnect the fuel pump, with this dump the fuel ????? POXY ZEDS are like marmite, either love em or hate em.

I am at the point where I want to buy a few more bits for my boost increase early next year. I have new 02 sensors, TPS and CTS. Just need to fit the o2 sensors. Other than that, the car engine is running very well and ConZult is showing me that just one of the O2 sensors is out of range, but I'll be fitting 2, altong with new CTS. TPS has now been set up as that wouldn't respond in adjustion to voltage reading. New NGKs are on the way. I am wanting to make sure the engine is running 101% via conZult (and emissions test) before I even think about changing the chip and upping the boost. Once this is done, I want to upgrate the filters. Now, aim to fit a chip and boost…

I'm considering selling my zed with the idea of purchasing one that somebody has already done up later on. I bought the car with the intention of basically uprating everything I could to get decent suspension, decent brakes, a decent amount of power but with good reliability and some mods to make it look a bit better like 99 spec lights, leather interior, new i.c.e. system, HIDs etc. Having thought about it now, I've not really got the time to do all this work myself and I'd never take anything to a garage unless I had to, so it would probably be better off with someone else because it's just been sat on the driveway for the past few months waiting for some attention. I w…

For a while now my zed has had a problem where it won't rev over ~2400rpm, idles very badly, and seems to use even more fuel than usual. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to either connect my MAF up to their car to test it or send a spare working MAF to me to allow me to find out if this makes the problem better (I'll pay for postage or come to collect depending on how far). I'm 99% sure that it is a knackered MAF (it runs the same with the MAF disconnected as it does with it connected) but my car is known for having a dodgy wiring loom so I want to find out if it's a broken MAF or a break in the wiring loom. Further to the thread regarding the above, and the fact that normal hose clips are not man enough for hard pipe silicon fitments. Here is a link for a company that will do stainless steel (316 the best) tee bolt clamps in various sizes. Hope this helps those who need them (myself included) Allan http://www.stagonset.co.uk/fasteners?t=1229026987&page=stagonset_index.html&cart_id=2041774_21015

just bought my first 300zx i love it but a slight problem ..... ive been told i need new plugs .. however i just thought id prefer to ask the audience and go with the majority .. the car seems to have a bit of a lumpy tickover boost goes up to 7ish on normal boost guage .. if i depress throttle slowly i get plenty of power but if i depress quickly it does not like it at all i have to pull away at junctions just easing throttle on if i plant it im sure it would either stall or do the biggest kangaroo ever ... ive ordered new plugs will be fitting sunday..... but any other suggestions are welcome car has k&n filter and rear exausts changed .. ive ordered c…
