When I start my car in the mornings, the idle bounces around for a bit and settles at 1100rpm and the car then runs fine, I leave the car till I finish work, start it up and it goes to die out when I press the accelerator a bit and I get a very delayed rev reaction, I then drive it for a mile or so and the car runs fine, why does this happen, could it be a boost leak? or part of another idling issue? The car will also pop whilst going down hill in gear when not pressing the gas, is this normal, I have a JWT eprom upgrade to handle single air intake, 555 injectors? Other than the issues above, when the car is at normal temp it runs like a dream and when I put my…

After mondays reconstruction day the the Collision Investigation Unit at TRL, one of the tests that were conducted was the braking abilities of the 300zx. The standard was set by a fully laiden 58 reg Mercedes Vito van, with a gross weight of 3 tonnes. 3 300zx's were used in the test. I cannot personally vouch for the condition of the other 2 zeds brakes, but i can confirm that following a check 6 weeks ago, my brakes are in full working condition with no seized pistons etc etc etc. The conditions were slightly damp, and the same bit of tarmac was used for the runs, so therefore i have given the average figures. The test was conducted at 30mph, using a fixed braking …

As title....... Just got off the phone after talking to Jeff (ZedWorld) for quite some time regarding what we can do about Eliza. It's now looking like she'll be 'Trucked' down to ZedWorld (that's because she doesn't have an MOT, Tax or insurance at the moment), at which point she'll be examined as to the extent of the boost problem and, basically, we'll see from there as to how much it's going to cost etc. Then there is still the small matter of an MOT to be done before I can have her back on the road, hopefully for next summer, although she won't be looking as good as she used to, but that's down to the paint problem on the front end. Jeff, if you get to see this…

Hey guys and girls I am so sick of a particular squeek that I have taken drastic measures. To re-create it I had to stand on my car and jump up and down what it showed me was that a squeek occurred in time to the movement of the front ARB. Anyone got any tips on what part it might be? Bushes brackets etc? I'm gonna get under it and get it off and try and grease everything up. Just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem. Cheers
