Got bored today, so decided to teach myself how to use Windows Movie Maker. It's actually quite easy to use. I got a load of my Z crap together and some film of the car that I made today (yes, the roads were clear enough to take the Z out for a bit....bliss!). Added all of it together with some effects, added a spacey bit of music and Bob's yer Uncle! I enjoyed making it. Just wish I had some more and better quality video. I'm not that good on computers, but it came out ok. I'll make a better one someday, but it looks ok for a very amature thing.

can hear it whilst driving too, it sounds like the central locking every 3 - 5 seconds it makes a clicking noise like the central locking is doing somthing (its not) also when im staitionary and the engine is idling it makes the lights dim when it clicks so its sucking power, iv checked the battary and its perfect looks new to its reading 14.70v anyone got any idea what it is thats making the noise iv taken the door card off but i cant locate the noise?

Ok, my current situation is that i have a mapped ecu, standard new tubs, forged rods and pistons and AVCR bc. Problem is the stock boost restrictor (not the solenoid, the actual mig tip insdie the pipe) was taken out of the passenger side, but left in the drivers side. What effect would this have when trying to reach 15psi or 1 bar boost? Would the passenger side compensate? is it even a problem that its still in there? Can the pipe be accessed from under the carwithout removing any components?

Does anybody have any of the above that i can borrow located around manchester? Just a wild stab in dark here :hyper:

i have 300tt manual,and just fitted new cerametallic clutch,light flywheel,de cat pipes,fuel preasure regulator,stage 3 chip,free airflow and manual boost controller...,,went on motorway,,,the highest boost is 1.6 bar thats more than twice from stock,,but know that not good for turbos,,i am using the car for drag racing and awaiting the season openning in santa pod on 18 january,but want to get it right,,so any advice on boost control whats the best bar to adjust and also the fuel preasure regulator...what must be the bars on running engine?

I wake up this morning, lovely sunny day in Sussex, going over to my folks this afternoon and the kids are coming to my mums at 3. So i had nothing to do. My neighbours must think im bonkers, i washed the zed, and hooverd the inside, so fook it nothing to do for a few hours. Im off for a drive. The roads are empty and dry, the music was tranquil (Motown classics) £50 of Shell's finest and a shot of injector cleaner, and hour later, the lady is spot on and hasnt missed a beat. Hello folks. Thats me stuck out at work in the middle of the north sea for xmas and new year, how fun.lol. Not getting home until the 3rd of january:( they got us alcohol free becks tho and gave us the day off so should be fun:rofl: Anyways............... I am hoping to be getting a high level rear spoiler, it has a 3rd brake light in it, i was wondering how i would connect this in to my car to ensure it comes on as im sure with the spoiler on and the light not working it is illegal. Driving into town to meet up with some friends iv not seen for a while on my way i see Griff925 parked up by the bypass stopped by him and we had a nice little chat, was nice to meet him as well!!! Later on (10pm) was on my way home and spotted another Zed in a BP petrol station, turned around and had a nice chat to the guy for a few mins and told him about the Forums! my car has not been driven for 3 months because it wasnt taxed, when i parked it up there were no probs at all. taxed it and took it out for a short spin today and there is something wrong, not the engine, but over 40mph dreadful vibrations and some kind of juddering from the rear passenger side i think, and the steering didnt seem to be working properly, any idea lads thanks.

When i close my drivers door it always feels weak and rattles but the passenger door feels solid and strong. Any tips to make it sound/feel better?

Well my wheels have taken a beating on the winter roads. All the laqure has started to flake and dirt has started to get under etc. Now the lips isnt s/s its just polised alloy. so what i was wondering is i was going to wet and dry the whole lip and polish it to a high finish and keep it well waxed, or with the 1st sign of water will it turn grey?? If this is the case then i will have to relaqure them. Its not the spokes that have gone funny its just the lip :(

Ok, ive been having a problem with idle and boosting lately and ive finally fixed it.. The dump valves! So ive removed them and refitted the recircs, but im still getting problems when on boost, at high rpm's i hear a sound from the exhaust that sounds like its dumping oil or fuel and it's struggling to get to the redline. EDIT - Missfiring! It also feels down on power and the boost gauge is stating 0.6bar (8.7psi) when running on 1.2mm boost jets which should be 0.8bar (11.6psi) Ive search everywhere for a boost leak but cannot find one or hear any hissing anywhere. Ive also done a ECU error code check and o2 sensor check and all is fine. All inje…

hi chaps have another quick question figured out most of the controls and buttons on the starship enterprise lol ( 300zx):wack::wack: but am still clueless about 1 button ??? its like a slider button on the very front of the gear selector ,havnt the faintest idea what it does ??? im sure someone hear could tell me tho many thx :)

does anyone know witch headers are best for the n/a zed? i made the mistake of fitting some from xs tuning, passinger side went on fine but had to relocate the lamber cencer on the drivers side then found that it rubs on the steering coloum! :rant: i was thinking of fitting a pair of stillin units next time as the ones i found are ceramic coated but does any one know which ones would be the best? and is there a differance between left and rite hand drive? cheers guys

ive got a 1990 auto zed and the switch that allows you to move the gear selector when the break pedal is depressed keeps playing up an i can't select any gears..... could anyone tell me where the switch or connection is located. I suspect damp causing the problem. any help appreciated.:bow:

Just got my zed back today so could finally give it a good drive around :cool::hyper: On the down side, the car is far to noisy for my liking. At the moment it's got what looks like a K+N cone on the front and large single bore twin exhausts. The exhaust isn't rattling or anything its just bloody loud! Is there a quieter cone filter than a K+N? Also what exhaust back boxes would people recommend? It needs to be SS and I would prefer a quad over twin. Failing that, is there anything I can do to quieten the existing set up down? Cheers Dave

Just went to go out in the zed earlier and it's no longer starting at all. This is only about 1hr after having just driven it without any issues. Some of you might remember i change to a mines ecu a couple of months ago and i notice straight away that it took longer to start up, only 0.5 seconds or so but definitely noticeable. I go to start up and the starter kicks in but the engine doesn't fire into life at all. Not even a splutter or a murmur. Just the starter going at it. Anyway; I've checked the battery and even tried a known good one. No issues there, plenty of juice. external lights don't dim at all. Disconnected the fuse for all afterm…
