Im with Sky insurance at the moment paying £800 a year, im 24 with 5 years no claims, they want to know what I would value my car at, I have spent nearly £14k including the car, I have just give them a list of my mods which were done recently and am awaiting a phone call back, im dreading it.

My coil-over arrived today:dance::dance::dance::dance: How can a check they are ok, without putting them on the car as I am gonna wait a few months before fitting. also is there a way of checking their straight also the front springs say h080-ajc and the back says G060-amc What are these like??

Hi, I have had my zed under hybernation for a couple of months and wonder what to check. I usually start it up and idle for about 20mins mostly two times a month but didn't drove it for 3 months. Had a quick spin to get fuel a couple of days ago and drove it to work today. Feells a little different, nothing wrong but just not quite the same. So just wondering what to check? Oh, I checked coolent and oil levels... Any maintanence that I should do? :rolleyes:

hi all couple of quick questions about them, do their seal kits (both front & rear) include replacement orings if you split the calipers in half? I can see they do front caliper pistons but anyone know if they do pistons for the rears? Anyone had their calipers refurbed by them recently? I done a search here and have seen prices saying around £120 to do a pair of rear calipers. Thinking about it thats crazy because if i do it then - 4xpiston say £60 + seal kit £20 + paint £20 =£100 and I still have to do all the work!??? Maybe I should phone them about that I guess.

Hi all, my wife and i are expecting a baby in the next few months and as much as my heart tells me to keep the Zed my head tells me otherwise. So i've made the desicion to sell it, but i'm not sure how much to put it up for? Does anyone know what power a MAF will limit a TT to? Have to start thinking about the mapping side of the conversion and wondered what the MAF maxes out at.

When doing an oil change does a certain amount of oil remain in the cooler?

or at least speeding off in it. - when afm cables are removed car goes into limp home mode. So by cutting a cable to the afm (need to work out which one), and extending it to a flick switch hidden somewhere in the dash you can enable/disable afm/limp mode - may come in handy when leaving car for valeting, or in dodgy areas :) (Not that we should ever leave them in dodgy areas) Good idea? or would there be problems that Ive missed?

Any ideas where i could get a cheap one and is there a tee in valve or do i have to make my own tee in, if so, where's best? Cheers,

Is there any way of testing the handbrake warning light? I have a feeling the bulb has blown because it doesn't come on when the handbrake is applied and after checking the switch out today it seems to be working OK. I've also pulled the connector off the brake fluid reservoir which I imagined would make the light come on? but it didn't. Does this sound like a blown bulb? Cheers.

Bought the kit to replace as much pipe work as possible. Problem is i cant find any 8mm pipe work for the 8mm silicone hose. Where is it hiding? Also could i use some large boost pipe to run a hose from the turbo/intercooler pipe straight to the idle valve (IAA) cutting out the hard pipe section?

My understanding is it is a proper 7 speed manual gearbox (no shitty torque converters) so it should be quite efficient! They seem to shift nice and fast, take a look at the following video: XUBV6xzzLsk That car has 720hp and achieves 229mph so I'd say it's a fairly strong 'box :mac1:

i was in the work hilux collecting a bike from southwater, just saw your zed pulling onto roundabout at very last second, looked pretty smart from what i saw

after pouring water down targa drain hole the water isnt finding its way through to the exit but is wetting the passenger foot well any advise on fixing this? cheers steve

Hey guys maybe ye can help me. My Z has mph (120) clocks in at the mo but i have 320 kph clocks which i tried but it still clocks up in mph. Am i rite by thinkin that i must change the speed sensor on the gearbox as well as the clocks. Any help appreciated.

Can anyone tell me if HSD struts complete with coils are good.On e-bay for 680 plus postage.
