I'm just thinking, the 300zx auto has a button where you can "hold" or flick it to "power" & when you press this rocker switch, the light appears on the dash telling you which has been pressed.. When you get a manual conversion.. I'm guessing the little panel which has these warning lights isn't really needed?.. what does the manual have in it's place if that is so?.. and I have looked through the auto to manual conversion on the pdf file here, but I was wondering if their is anyone here who has had an auto to manual and realised you don't have all the features you once had i.e. little lights or maybe cruise control?.. Does the manual TT have anything extra to an au…

Hi, Mine's a UK car so have the indicators and sidelights in the front with dummy corners. I actually like the indicators in the front but wonder what options I have? My real issue is that I think the plastic used on the front indicators looks dated :( Cheers Vijay

Well over the last couple of days i've been prepping and spraying my new foglight ducts. So i sprayed em at the weekend, fitted em on Wednesday, left em on Thursday to give the adhesive plenty of time to cure and today i cleaned the car and took some piccies :nana2: Really loving the look myself, i think they suit the 99 really well! And there is now even more air getting to my intercoolers :D Got rid of the foglights as i never use them and they look dated IMO. It also bugs me that they are set back and not flush with the bumper  Anyway here we go

well i have decided not to change my broken autobox for another and just to go for a manual conversion. started my new job last week so will have money again to do it lol, im looking for a shopping list of parts that i will need for my mechanic to do it, just so i can by them piece by piece rather than having to shell the lot out at the one time. also is there any other bits i should do while doing the conversion?

Hey guys Been having a bit of an issue when starting the Z . When I first start her up she runs rough as hell and one of the belts squeals too. After a few revs and driving her out of the garage she then runs and idles like normal again and also the belt stops squealing. The question is why the very rough idle on start? Is there a connection to the squealing belt, or is it just coincidental that both symptoms disappear at the same time? Any advice as always greatly appreciated. Maz :)

Ive just got a Blazt cable and i'm running it on win xp via a pci express 2 serial and have tried several of the free programs that it supports namely OBD scantech, Datascan, and ecutalk, the comport is installed ok but the only program that works properly is ecutalk this displays all the gauges properly in real time no delays or anything but when i try to use scantech or datascan when it queries it just seem to either load the cpu to 100% or quit completely. So this tells me that the com port is working fine if ecutalk can get data ok but i cannot workout whats going wrong with the other 2 programs obviously i dont want to fork out for a datascan licence if it wont …

I'm going to give my car a mop so that I can see just how good/ bad the paint work really is. I've got a clarke polisher but was wondering what you'd recommend for a cutting compound? Is ordinary coloured T cut ok? I've not done it before but Edd China on wheeler dealers makes it look easy lol. All I really know about it is to keep the mop wet to avoid burning the paint.

I'm sure a lot of members on here have seen the 300zx introductory video released in 1991 for the UK owners. It was done by Nissan with none other than Tiff Needell. However if you are like me and never even knew that such a video ever existed, never mind seen it until today - here are the links : Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Enjoy!
