Found some de-cat down-pipes for £129, now I need to find just the mid section as the rear is already stainless. Any ideas where's a good place to find 'em ?

Not really a help and advise question, so I have posted it in the general discussion section - but how much does car tax cost for the Zed cost in the UK? Over here its over €1,200 for the year. I'll only tax it for probably 3 or 4 summer months this year.

  3. Started by Bigman,

Its been almost 5 months since I last drove the car so taxed it up was really looking forward to driving it today but tbh I was bored and after a hour or so it went back in the garage,it run perfect and attracted alot of attention (as they do) but I dunno just something isnt there anymore, think I prefer working and spending money on it as opposed to driving it:rofl:

The V8 project has been on hold for a while, while i sorted out a load of unexpected bills and get some websites outstanding done and out the way. Well with a bit of hard work i've done some favours for two people who are going ot help me finish off the car and I decided to take a loan and blitz the whole lot. This morning my bank account received £3000 and so the hard work begins... This friday i'll be taking the block, heads and flywheel to Crane Hill Engineering to get them skimmed then the block bored, and honed before being hot dipped and returned to me While that's being done i'll order every last part i need from the states on one pallet ready f…

I just don't know what to say and feel very strange, reckon I'm in shock!. Just got off the phone with Brett from Custom Exotics and my car is coming home on Wednesday night. They've finished everything (and then some) so it's time. It's 27 months tomorrow since I last drove my Z and have mixed feelings about keeping it but really hope that'll change. I'm not even sure I can get excited about it, don't want to jinx anything............................ Vijay

Just found a fuel leak, want to know if theres an easier way to fix it rather then taking the plenum off. The problem pipe is the one at the front, about 3" long. Also is the other pipe meant to have a jubilee clip round it? (red circle round it)

It all started as i was on the way back from Simon's (fastorquer on the forums) because i needed to borrow his boost leak detector as i have boost leak somewhere. So im near home and taking it steady though a few country roads and enjoying driving the zed. All of a sudden a car comes up behind me and starts near enough tail gating me, by this point i'm so pissed off i could of got out and kicked the shit into him, so i thought f4ck it, time to put my foot down, so down goes the loud pedal. Bye bye stupid tail gator, so driving home steady again and he comes bloody back! So now im in a 40MPH zone heading towards a the ring road and i do the speed limit as im sure it was th…

This is probably going to sound stupid and pointless but here goes. Just curious, but at the Custom exotics open day I was chatting to Chris Mayo and I was telling him how I wanted to simplify my engine bay. He was telling me about what MAC has done to his car regarding a different ecu or something and that in turn you lose the coil packs, CAS, AFM, ECU the engine wiring loom. I'm not 100% sure of the details. Im guessing you only do this if your running high power and would cost a lot of money? or could someone explain a bit more about it really. I'm just curious to know what you lose and what gets replaced when doing this. Thanks, Ant

I like all styles of music whilst driving in the zed, but there are certain songs that definatley make me drive quicker, today, tops off and went for a country drive. Filled the lady up, tops off, thumped up the sub and amp and had some fun, the pedal was well and truly abused........ 1. ACDC - Back in black 2. Queen - Dont stop me now 3. Reel to reel - I like to move it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBnkJQWe0JQ What do you listen to in the zed, and do any make you push it some more.
