As the cars going to be having a new plenum, and I think has an injector fault, I’ve been thinking about upgrading the injectors to the series 2 ones for reliability. I know I need a new fuel rail to accommodate these, has anyone done this recently? are my only options the ones from USA or are there any in the UK? Does anyone have one kicking around that they’d sell? thanks

Thought it would be handy to have a thread people can pop their parts finds into, if they might be of interest to others. I will kick things off.. If anyone is looking for a great traction control system for our cars, I came across this Racelogic listing (not mine) at a reasonable price: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266108663444?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=rM6Po6nfRJa&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=oOSkvvj_RDu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY The potentially damaged wheel speed sensor may not matter if you convert it to run off the existing ABS sensors, as most have them setup on the Z32. You'll have to email Racelogi…

Hi all, Now that Christmas 2022 is but a distant memory - and we're already kicking off 2023 with a meet at Bicester Heritage this weekend (see the club calendar) - it's time to think about this year's AGM..... We held a rather small and intimate meeting at The British Motor Museum last October and one of the key things arising from that, was that we should hold this year's AGM much earlier in the year - like at the very beginning of the season. So without further ado, I would like to put forward some suggested dates. The AGM should be held in the Midlands area, in fairness to all members who have to travel, on a Sunday; with the option to stay at a nearby …

Happy to report another MOT pass with flying colours...... ? I also had them fit a new Nissan oil filter and fill the sump with some nice clean Castrol Magnatec too, all ready for 2023! And before anyone (I'm looking at you Si, LOL), mentions taking the Zed out with all the salt on the roads, our local council hasn't gritted the side roads and the garage is but a few hundred meters down two of those... ? That said, I still should have ad it done back in November, after the NEC, but just ran out of time!

Good evening all, Some of you may recognise my car from the Facebook group ‘300ZX Owners Club UK’. I’ve only just been made aware of this forum so hopped straight onto it and joined as a premium member. For those who don’t recognise my car, I bought it in April 2021, a UK registered factory manual twin turbo, targa top 2+2. It was severely rusted and required a full overhaul, all of which I have now welded up, undersealed, painted and replaced to the road legal car it is once more! I’ll be keen to use this forum more when I have any queries about my Zed or when something electrical packs in lol. (Having technical issues with uploading a image… will try again at s…

Hello all, looking for some help.. I have a big brake kit that came off of an Auto TT and I’ve gone to fit it on another car and the caliper bolts to the brackets are not in the right location. they are offset by about 10mm inboard, so was wondering if there was subtle changes to mounting position between turbo/non turbo or a model year change? From memory, the hubs on my car are from a non-turbo. Nothing I can find indicates anything different other than potentially the calipers to account for the diameter of the disc. Not the mounting holes. Any help greatly appreciated

Hi Everyone! I’ve got a bit of an issue that I was hoping someone may be able to offer some advice on. The horn on the Z no longer works and I can’t really work out why ? I’ve changed the fuse in the engine, the relay in the engine and even got new horns – Hella Supertone, but still no joy. I also removed the air bag from the steering wheel to check if something had happened there, but everything looked good! One thing I’m not sure on is how the wiring for the horns works. The buttons from the steering wheel connect to the earth and then go into some kind of ‘module’? Is this for the air bag or the HICAS or something else? As everything else is wo…

Hi guys, recently joined this forum, some of you will probably know my dad Steve sinclair as having the 260z which he swapped a 300zx twin turbo into, and then an LS and finally a rb before he sold it (used to be white with red blue racing stripes, ended up a stunning gold) as he was pretty active within the z community (il Post pictures of the car in the thread) Just wanted to share our recent resto pictures of a 1992 SWB 300zx twin turbo (stamped as the 9th one made so pretty rare) in a custom midnight purple with various added tinters to make sure she pops in the sunlight il update the forum as and when we make more progress and il also be regularily…

Well there's a thing. After 23 years, 4 months and 3 days, covering 259,000 miles in 4 Zeds, my 300ZX career has finally come to an end. (Not my obsession with them, 'tho.) Much as I still think it is "the best damn sports car on the planet", moving to an island without cars means I've got nowhere to put it. So I'm going to say farewell to "the best damn club on the planet". I'm not going to do the saddo thing / Oscar thanks speech because if I mentioned everyone (and you know who you are ? ) who has helped me technically and socially, you'd never get to the end of the post. So to Z friends past and present, thank you so much. Without your friendship, help and a…

Morning legends, with the help of some forumers I now have a shiny new pair of genuine headlight surrounds, which is ace, and I was hoping someone could help me with the part number for the trims that sit on the top edge of the door, by the window, and the corresponding piece on the rear window too? I’ve tried using the exploded diagram as per headlights but couldn’t figure out the right bit! im hoping someone else has ordered a set at some point and has the part number!

Having a rummage around earlier through a multitude of car photos, I came across the work I did to my Z when I replaced the entire engine harness, starter/earthing harness, new NISMO 740s and had everything else aqua-blasted and coated, shot blasted and powder coated, replated and a LOT of new genuine stuff, plus enlarged throttles. Essentially the top half of the engine bay incl. rocker covers, all new gaskets yada yada. The harness(es) was (were) OEM as only OEM will do, I opted for a later one so as to use later style CAS and PTU and without having to de-pin and re-pin for newer connectors for the injectors. Complete plug and play solution and I can tell yo…

Seems Gary and I had the same idea, following our posts earlier today..... So, let's share a few pics of our Zeds under lights. Doesn't have to be in a car park, could be anywhere under artificial lighting. I'll kick off with this one from yesterday ?

Evening everyone, so after a great year with the Zed, it’s decided to develop some faults just as I’m about to put it away for winter. The Hicas bushes are worn, causing the rear near side wheel to wobble, the alternator now only works when driving and stops at traffic lights but the main concern is that cylinder 5 isn’t firing. Its 1993 twin turbo, I’m not the most technically minded but would like to do some investigation in to the fault before I give in and take it to a garage. Any pointers or advice?

After another successful display at the NEC Classic Motor Show, I would like to thank Mike (aka mike tromans) and Rob (aka Howl) for stepping up with their fine Zeds (white and black, respectively), and for their time and commitment in manning our club stand over the weekend. I would also like to thank our club chairman, El Presidente, Craig, for giving up his day off work to man the stand on Friday... Thank you so much guys, you did yourselves and the club proud - and your cars looked great on our display. It was also great to meet Mike and Rob for the first time; and for me personally, to make two new friends who share the same enthusiasm for these cars.…

I recently purchased some brand-new J-spec fog lights from Luke, as I've never been 100% happy with the UK-spec side light/indicator split. And yesterday I fitted them.... Although not for use as fog lights! I installed some H3 LED bulbs and rewired them for use as daytime running lights. I also replaced the side light bulbs with some bright-ish LEDs. I then rewired my corner lights (which were the DRLs) to become the indicators. I think they make the front end look much nicer - a real improvement over the original look. Especially now that the whole lenses light up in either DRL or side-light mode.

Fantastic... The third of November and already there's a layer of salt on the road. I was hoping to avoid that until December, rain in a day or so, the Zed's staying in the driveway until then - at least. It's only showing as 2 degrees tonight, hope that changes for the better.
