Hi all, not been a regular on here for a while, but good to see that so many "old" members are still active! Trying to get my car back on the road after it's sat in the garage for a few years. Braided fuel lines have perished so I ordered replacement stock lines from Torqen at the end of October. Still waiting for them to come in and contact with them seems a bit touch and go. Anyone had any experiences (good or bad) with the company? CheerZ Steve 🙂

I've always liked the look of black wheels on a dark blue car, so after 5 years I decided to take the plunge.... So I reverted back to some Cruise 190s - this time in gloss black, with polished rims and Nismo centre caps. I ordered some new Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres from National Tyres/Halfords (265/35/18 rear and 235/40/18 front - £552 all in) and had them fitted at home yesterday. Great service, by the way, their technician, Nick, was really good! They should keep me happy for another 5 years, until I change my mind again LOL 😉 Talking over - here are the pics....

A couple of niggles I'm keen to resolve but I'm not sure how...hoping to crowdsource some direction! My fuel door has become temperamental in opening. Is there some cable adjustment I can make to correct this? I can't see anything visibly wrong but it doesn't open every time and needs some (a lot) of encouraging. I have a vibration through the steering wheel 90mph+ that remains once it's there. I did have some vibration through the seat but I've rebalanced my prop which seems to have resolved that part of the vibration. I've had wheels balanced and aligned, no spacers on the front anymore and new calipers, discs and pads fitted. The. vibrations have been there s…

Hi, I have a 300zx N/A auto 1991. I bought the car as a non runner from auction years ago. I've managed to get the engine to crank over but it will not start. Fuel and power is getting to the engine. I've change sparks and coils. I've also disconnected all fuel lines and wiring loom connected to the intake manifold so I could change the fuel injectors. I just haven't had time to finish the job. Does anyone know a mobile mechanic who works on theses cars. Every one that I've called said they will not touch the car. Or if there is somewhere to take the car. I'm in north London

I took my Zed on another little trip to the Isle of Wight a couple of weeks ago, which just happened to coincide with the IoW classic car show. Whilst I didn't participate, I did visit the show on Sunday 8th and met up with Groover that afternoon... Suffice to say, there were a few exhibitors staying on for a few days after the show, so there were one or two classic cars milling around at various attractions that week. Like this rather nice Stag at Appuldurcombe House. Any excuse to share a couple of Zed pics LOL 😉

Hi all, I am looking for some door seal rubbers, for both sides (LWB and Targa top). The ones the door window rests on. The car is is the process of having a respray and I am keen to change the seals, I am hoping it may also help with the leaking Targa roofs. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

I've not been working on my zed for a very long time, since the last engine failure to be more precise. Few months back i managed to get a lockup in my area which i originally planned to move all my zeds into and start working again stripping and building back up what i needed to get the purple zed back on the road. However this place wasn't exactly insured in any way and also wasn't the best place for security either so only the two breakers were moved in, then unfortunately time went on and i never had time to do much on them. The only thing i've managed to do on the breaker was lift one of the spare engines out, and that's now sitting o…

You probably have all been there as well, that point when you think you have done but notice the wing and door don't quite line up, then this happens . . . (PS shout out to Luke. Ordered Friday, arrived Tuesday and now attached to the rear sills from a few years back!)

Was watching the budget cheesefest movie Joshua Tree from 1993, starring Dolph Lundgren and during the movie they are using a couple of unconvincing replica cars. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106309/ Closer look at the F40 replica and it seems to have 300ZX headlights on it 😄
