Hi, first time post! Looking for any ideas on tracing a past 300zx. Owned a 1990 TT Japanese import to the uk. Had to sell through circumstances however car was never taxed after my sale. Today after a bit of bored afternoon digging a came across a data check advising car was marked as exported from the UK. I do still have the chassis number, but my question is does anyone have any info on how to dig further and possibly find out where the car went. Long shot I know but any ideas other than Google would be great 👍

Hey guys, So I recently bought a 300ZX Z32 (pics in the Newbie part) It refused to start so I been checking everything from the relay to the fuel filter to the fuse etc. So I then started to check the fuel pump as I didn't hear it engage when I put the car on contact. Turns out there's no signal wire connected to the fuel pump. So I'm like, okay, let's see if we can find the wire and then just connect it. I took out all the rear panels in the car and even the rear seat to check where the wire might be, and... I am missing my FCPU and pretty much all wiring towards the rear (for all the rear lights, which hadn't been working either but I hadn't checked yet…

Had this box a few years now but the acrylic face was just plain white. So with a big indoor Jap show this Sunday I got the acrylic face laser etched. Well impressed.

  6. Hi all, been a while since I last posted, been busy with bits on pieces on the Z as always. My Z was sat on a drive for 15 years before I got it so paint has always been a niggle for me, laquer peel and poor paint throughout. Bit by bit slowly accumulated some nice bits of bodykit and finally got round to spraying the whole lot to throw on. Now I can’t work out if I’m a fan of the bonnet really so I do think I’m going back to OEM for that. Otherwise it’s starting to look something like what I’m going to be happy with… many many more hours later😁 Also taken this opportunity to revamp the front end some more with fully stripped back bottom arms, new OEM bot…

I think i need a new battery as the one i have doesnt seem to be holding the charge for all that long and i now believe that my spark issues and ecu resets are down to the voltage at crank dropping to low. What do you all recommend i should be looking out for and whats the largest battery dimensions that fit ?

Hi All, Long term member, looking to get back into the saddle againt. So...I've found this example. I've done some basic investigation: It has done 60kish miles in approx. 10 years. This does not put me off as I am not looking for a "garage queen". There is a fair bit of "red ink" in the MOT history mainly for "Exhaust carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle exceeds manufacturer's specified limits (8.2.1.2 (a))" and "Exhaust lambda reading after 2nd fast idle outside specified limits (8.2.1.2 (c))". There are also some suspension bush warnings. This does give me cause for concern. I know it is "cheapish" at 9k, but I am prepared to…

Added a load of old photos to my Google drive recently and made this album with various 300ZX's from shows I've been to over the years (2003-Current) https://photos.app.goo.gl/eNtfDMMQU7tKBWwj8 Anybody recognise any of the cars or is yours on there?

Hey guys, new to the forum a couple months ago. Really trying to revive my 90 z32 this year. Got it running(kinda). I realized I needed a TPS sensor replaced so I got looking in the engine bay and I found a plug that’s just kind of floating around with no female end near it. I am hoping one of you Zed Vets can help a new guy out with minimal bashing, lol. Please advise. Thanks guys. Rich

Unfortunately I must sell my car as I can no longer drive it - physical challenges sadly that won't get better. Not really driven much since Beaulieu July 2019. I don't know if anyone can post a picture of the cars there that day ? Looking on eBay there are some really punchy prices and I'm hoping that I can get some guidance on mine. Imported by me in 2009 it's a 1995 JDM auto. Not showroom but very nice. Always serviced by specialists and all the sills and arches done at Powerzed. Just passed new MOT. Any thoughts gratefully received. Thanks Mark

That's 11 mot straight passes in my ownership. At one stage their were five mot testers looking at the engine. Well p!eased and this week I changed the oil and filter, Brembo front brake pads and two Toyo front tyres.

  17. I recently purchased a Morgan Plus 8 and traded my very original low miles Black UK ZX300 TT, which is now for sale at Richard Thorne Sports cars if any members are looking out for an immaculate un-modified manual UK car. Whatever I tried, I was unable to revitalise my original membership here, so resorting to a cunning plan to let folk know where K300RMD is ! Sorry if its a bit stealthy, but the car deserves to go to someone who really "Gets" owning an original.

What kind of clips do people use for vac pipes if any ?

  19. It used to be quite easy to find but all the places I have found are old links and dead sites? Is there anywhere which has it to view? I want to try and get my car sorted (after over 10 years off the road) and I forgotten most of it.

Hi guys i had the servo replaced only a few thousand miles ago however I was never happy with the appearance. Now that I’ve stripped the bay and want to put things back as new I’d like to address the surface rust. Whats the strongest paint to use when repainting the servo? I’m assuming that it can’t be powder coated due to the internals and that I’ll need to wet paint it? cheers, Chris.

It's been a while coming, but not so great health combined with the soon to be expanded ULEZ has forced my hand (but not my heart) into parting with My Fair Lady. Having spoken to her new owner I am reassured she will be treated well. he may be on here soon so be nice 🙂 (someone talk him out of the "midnight purple" plan though please lol. It's nice but trending too much now.....) It must have been fate when, at the same time I was discussing with Lorraine the option of letting her go, an ad came to my attention of someone looking for a silver 1991 auto! I got a good price for her as well, but I'll let the new guy tell that you if he wants. It's…
