Hi all, New here. I recently moved back to Ireland with my family and shipped over my '90 Z as well. Have owned it for over 20+ years and just couldn't part with it. It finally arrived after several weeks of travel. I'm hoping to get a grasp of what I need to get done and in what order so I can take this thing on the road. First, I know I have to sort out VRT as soon as I get some papers in the post. However, I understand that it will need to have an NCT, and get insurance. So several questions, Any recommendations for classic car insurance here for Dublin county? Clean driving record, car won't be driven much except for a treat ever…

Here we are at the end of the 2023 show "season" and the club has once again completed another successful display at the NEC Classic Motor Show over the weekend. On behalf of the club and committee, I would like to thank Andrew, Ian, Joel and Tom for exhibiting their cars - and for manning the stand all weekend. Thanks too, to Lee (the committee's very own JaiKai) for coming down from Troon to man the stand as well. And a very special thanks to Ian, not just for exhibiting his blue convertible, but for providing (again) the stand structure, carpets, lighting etc., that made our display stand out from the crowds in hall 4. Thank you all very much, gentl…

Driving home from work today, every time I touched the brake pedal the hicas light came on. At first I thought low fluid and momentum, but it was definantly the electrical connection. In addition my dash lights dimmed as well, also quite often the aftermarket gauges would reboot (fed from stereo ign power and Lx) and a couple of times the stereo rebooted too. I got almost home, literally as reversing on to my drive all electrics cut out, like totally (even the electric ariel didn't go down) and stayed dead. After about 10 minutes of manouvering it by hand (steering is so heavy when off) back on to the road (so I can use other car tommorow) it just all came bac…

I have been working on a replacement end cap for the quarter window moldings for our cars. The ends of these moldings are covered by the weather stripping of the quarter window originally but these are sometimes torn and missing (as mine were), especially when the moldings have been removed, either for replacement with Kuruma Z items or when someone is refinishing their OEM moldings. This means you are left with a pretty ugly looking end of the trim and quite a large gap to the hatch, with a cut angle on the end of the molding which does not follow the angle of the hatch lid either. My design covers the cut of the molding, fills most of the space back to the hatch lid and…

1993 300zx NA previously bought and brought back to SC from FL. 8 hour drive completely fine. Car has 108k miles 5 speed and was running no problems before I did my egr delete and coolant delete. Originally I never wanted to do plenum deletes but after having a leak in my valve cover gaskets I decided to do it all together. And just taking the plenum off was really hard because of coolant lines. I the leak wasn’t really bad I just wanted to make my car all nice and mint before slammednuff this year. Ok so anyways I begun with taking the plenum off which took me like a day after I got it off I took all the coolant line off then re routed the 4 lines closer towards the fire…

Not kidding, The supplier i purchased my original ECU from over 5 years ago cocked up someone elses order and sent it to me. Likely about 2K in Parts. I've contacted Link via another supplier to check the serial number on the ECU and now i'm awaiting instructions. Shame its for a S13, what a waste as i could have upgraded mine to the latest model.

I got around to test fitting one of the Kuruma Z window moldings and they don't appear to fit flush to the body, nor can I make them do so. I hate the gap. Has anyone else fitted these and found the same or managed to remedy it? Ignore the dusty car - clearly been in my garage too long. Kuruma: OEM:
