At long last, some sun! That means a full day of washing and waxing, followed by some topless shots. What do you think?

Had the old connector changed and had it regassed with a can of R12 > R134a conversion stuff dropped in also, after driving home from work just now I noticed a puddle of pinkish liquid on the floor, it was quite thin and watery but felt a bit oily too, would this be the gas/oil leaking out possibly? Or could it be autobox oil it wasn't hot to the touch just room temperature. The puddle was near the drivers side wheel. It had stopped dripping so couldnt see where it was coming from, any ideas i'm stumped. My coolant is pink but it would have been hot I'd have thought and a pipe hissing like it normally does when it leaks.

just trying to get opinions on the viscus, i know it does a good job cooling the car, but what about the sound? does make the car/engine sound "bus like" from outside, (on low revs/idle anyway) when going fast supose the noise isnt noticed as the exhausts over rule it

Well it's been almost 3 weeks since I bought PhilP's blue UK spec car. Today I have been doing a few bits; like...... Fitting some Mania Vortex wheels - Thanks Dave (EvoluZion3) Removing the "carrots" and replacing them with some clear side repeaters Removing the orange from the indicators (I got it right this time;)) - and a big thanks to JeffTT for the replacement following my daft moment on Sunday:wack: Fitting my numberplate now that DVLA has completed the transfer. I still need to fit my new 99-spec rears, have the a/c fixed (new condenser needed) and get it in the body-shop to have the driver's door and n/s rear wing sprayed. Oh y…

One of my last jobs to get the most out of the engine is to sort the O2 sensors out. The ones on my UK TT Manual are shagged. Ive got a donor fully working pair, i have the correct 3/8" offset snapon O2 socket, various bars and whatever. Took the zed out and really warmed up the tubs, to assist removal. Starting on the passenger side as it looks most awkward,, made as much space, remove battery and loom aside How the hell do you get to them?????? Anyone who has changed them on a TT, got any suggestions of how you did it, If JeffTT sees this, how do you do them????????? "Toit like a toiger" Stu

Hi I've read a few posts on here that say putting on aftermarket steering wheels can effect the HICAS. The answer seems to be to fit the proper Boss. Can someone clarify the situation and explain why it causes the HICAS to play up. Cheers Ric

the few problems i have on the car could be pointing to the maf. am i correct poor fuel consumption- less than 20mpg driving very stedy i would expect nearer 30! slightly lumpy idle strong smell of fuel when accelerating hard/ going up hill. i would have thought that the lambda sensors would have corrected any fueling issues though below 3k am i right? any way to test easily

Sorry for the delay in updating you what's going on guys. Basically i've moved house rather suddenly, i popped a picture up recently of the new garage, it's brilliant. 35 foot long, double garage and lighting/heating. Makes life easier, i've got more done this last week than i have in 3 months of working at my parents house in the odd hour when i pop round :nana2: So where to start, so i've stripped down and cleaned all the metal particles from the block, torqued up the crank, pistons and conrods. The windage tray is all beaten to shape and lock tighted on. I've now fitted and torqued down the sump in place. Timing the cam was the hardest part, I us…
