  3. Well my boost controller turned up today, but I'm hoping someone will be able to tell me the answers to the following: 1. What diameter tubing do I need to run from the turbo's/actuator and any ideas on how long a length I should get. 2. Where's the best place to take a manifold pressure reading from to plumb into the control unit? Pictures would be great ;) I know how to plum/wire into the TT system just don't want to go crawling around under the car to get tube diameters if I can help it lol. Cheers, Brendan

Is there any spray kind of corrosive tackle I can get, to clean the 'hard to get to' contacts, and rid them of the green doom, then wash off? I'm not scared of hard work, just thought there might be some easier way of doing it!

After taking the plunge and buying some 'uprated intercoolers' and not knowing what make they were... seems like its paid off and my luck was in, so I now have a pair of ARC Intercoolers  pictured with standard ones for comparison. I hear ARC are pretty good in the intercooler world, can anyone confirm this? I found a price of $2131 for the pair brand new

Had another problem since removing the front bumper, in the driver side arch lining found this Relay connector... It had a Brown relay in it but took that out as it looked like it was full of water! Can someone tell me if this is related to the Aircon Blowers as they now don't work or what else the promplem may be! I've got a display so can still change the Temp and it shows the ambient air outside.. You can hear the flaps inside altering depending on what temp it's set to but they are just not blowing air on any setting, nothing Zero, Zip! Also checked all fused in Drivers footwell and there good, engine relay fine and glove box relay's seem good. Used to…

Does anyone know where i can get a off the shelf roll cage for a 2+2 Cusco only lists SWB. Auto power house do them in the states but by the time in the country would work out very expensive! Any where near Norfolk i can get one custom made? Would prefer off the shelf so i can just buy one. Want a full cage not just the rear.

I know there have been many threads covering radiators but iv done a search back to 2006 and not found any real informative feedback on rad comparisons... and i dont just mean the pricey ones. Looking on ebay there are many many rads available at stupidly low prices, luke sells one for a very competitive price and i believe danny sells a budget aftermarket one too? As far as measurements are concerned, these budget ones seem to be as big if not bigger when looking at core sizes so what im asking is... are the big name expensive ones 'really' any better compared to an unbranded council version  ?? any feedback or advice welcomed... cheerZ

Hello everyone! Just bought a 1996 Manual TT, had it just under a week and very happy with it. However, today I noticed whilst crawling up a hill in traffic, in and out of 1st gear i did eventually start to smell the clutch. Is that a sign that the clutch is on its way out do you think or just that i'd been on the biting point too much? any thoughts much appreciated! thanks, Phil

Hello, I have just taken my Z to be mot'd and it has failed on bad emissions, After I let a mechanic have a quick look he told me that the most likely problem was the the cat was knackered. I belive that the car is running rich so is it possible that the car just needs a good service. If it is the cat, is it best to replace with orignal Nissan or is there a good after market one? Any info or ideas would be gratefully appreciated. thanx:cool:

Hi Gavo. How long have you had the grey Zed. That one used to be mine and I still miss it. I sold it to Ricey Racer with a knackered auto box, then I saw he was trying to sell it. Next thing I heard was my cousin in Dublin saying he`d seen it advertised over there for stupid money. Did you buy it from over there or did it somehow make its way back here first? I loved that car but got sick of the gearbox problems. Hope you`re having fun with it pete

I am getting a vibration which I am guessing is the propshaft or diff. It is barely audible around town but above 40 mph it gets louder settling to a steady hum between 70-100. I thought it may have been a bearing as one of rear discs gets a lot hotter than the other but the noise doesnt change going around a bend and the bearing feels fine when the car is jacked up and the wheel turned. Any thoughts or feedback. This is my first Z.

Found i have a little time in the latter end of the evening these days (none any other time lol) and instead of sitting on my bum watching TV and surfing the internet i am making a start on the many things i have piled up relating to my zed. Tonight i started prepping my vented bonnet and matching headlight panel. Wash, rub down, bit of filler and then smoothing off etc... I've also got a pair of side skirts making their way to me with some door fillers. This to will need prepping and spraying etc....... Got a pair of 99 spec headlight inserts which need painting one way or another (still undecided which route to take with them). Then they will need putting…

Yet again a quick forum search solves a problem..... My car developed a really noisy 2nd gear, I assumed it was because of wear and mileage. Thought it would probably need a rebuild! A quick search......noisy 2nd gear http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=89020&highlight=noisy+2nd+gear Bobs you uncle! The rubber gaitor under the leather had come loose so when in 2nd it lifted it up and let all the noise out! Can't believe how well these rubbers work. I secured the top rubber to the lower rubber more securely with a large cable tie. Job done, noise gone.:D Thanks again 300zx.co.uk

As above really, I'm looking to do this soon and wondered are you supposed to put anything on the threads or use a washer when fitting the new one. I do know that the body of the sender is actually the earth connection though as there is only 1 wire to the sender. Cheers:)
