yeh i mean i got a toad ai606 on it that does the remote locking part of it so it would have to power that and give me time to use imobiliser,

No idea mate im no electrician but it sounds a bit of a special idea! Any more incite into this would would be appreciated, IF/When i get back in my car, I think i'm gonna work out how the bonnet catch works and fit another wire to it that goes behined one of the side lights, so if it happens again 2 screws, sidelight oput and pull it to pop bonnet hey presto!! I also thought of calling AA out, but my insurance is with them and there are a few, non-factory adjustments to the car if you know what i mean lol. Thx Steve

Hi guys, My beloved Z has not been used for a while, it has been sat around me parents tucked out of the way whilst im saving to get it sorted, after deciding not to break it. Problem 1, the battery has gone dead, not bad in itself BUT; PROBLEM 2, I have completly covered filled and covered locks in doors with metal and filler, PROBLEM 3, I have fitted a tailgate skin and the lock is no longer in the boot, PROBLEM 4, my Z is now an ornament as it can not be used. Short of taking a hammer to the targa and replacing it or window I don't know what to do, So if anyone knows how i can effectively break into my Z much appreciated, due to the sensitive nature of this thread obviously I don't want ppl posting this info up on the thread!!!!! so e-mail or call me on 07734-701388. If anyone knows a way I can access the bonnet catch or something by taking front bumper off, all I need to do is get the bonnet up and the bat out to charge it then I can get back in my car? White rules, Its the wholes concept of the contrast from black and white, white cars look sweet, especially with the black leather interior. IMHO the white ones stand out more and the curves look nicer. Me

A bit OT bit what bhp rough guess do you think im running? 15psi boost, se chip, blitz induction, 3" zorst from downpipe to back with no cats etc? I guessed 350 at fly? me

Ah i've bit the bullet, booked in to have tubbies reconned next month. I do think tho that the car will be up for sale after at about 6k. Then i'm gonna buy a 200 and extra cash to me bike :D

Busa's rule don't they? bit heavy mind!!! Friend of mine has his own nitrous business, had an open day yesterday, there were some seriously sweet bikes up there! A couple of turbo's busas, both street fighters, most front fairing ripped off, but they looked sweet. Filter welded onto a plate on one side of tubby, the zorst was like a 6 inch pipe comming from tubby, sounded mental. Also the nicest looking one had NOS fitted with a progressive controller. Had an extended rear swing arm to absorb that wheelie/flip situation with over 400bhp lol. And the front disk OMG! it was the size of the rim, it was bolted all around inside of the rim, fkin huge! Were about 12 turbod road legal bikes up there, most others had nos, some seriously sweet kit. I had a few good base bikes that I am planning on getting a few of these petrol heads to mod! a turbo goes without saying! but if I'm keeping Z my plans may have a drastic change to them! Buying a busa would be out of the question because of ins costs on Z, busa and DD would be v silly. Also maintaining all three, and probably modding would be out of the question!!!

Yeh I slept on it last night and my baby is sat outside the window, im not sure I can part with her! Means I got to try and do some serious saving for a bike. I might buy a cheap DD like a mondeno and save for a bike, not sure yet, descisions eh? wouldn't it be good to be rich? then none of this would matter!!!

Hi guys, My Z may be going up for sale soon to make way for a new motorbike, i've got a few dilemas though; My Z; 1992 on a J plate 80k bang on S/H inc cambelt change etc etc Running 15psi R33 Brembos and disks, red stuff pads spare (still boxed!!!) half other pads still left! 1 off predator motorsport Zorst from downpipe back (1k's worth) Lowered aprx 50mm 18" Reezax split rims, running 245x18x40 on front both only one month old, back running 265x35x18 one new tyre only a week old other could do with replacing in a few months. Racelogic traction control unit Blitz steel induction Kit Twin turbo XS bovs (one of the loudest you'll find!) Pillar mount boost autometer guages, turbo and oil pres Interior retrimmed in connolly cream leather hide, seats standard black leather (good nick) Twin light conversion, completly flushed (no nasty gaps) and fiat lights De-spoilered and tailgate skin fitted De-locked Toad AI606 full closure Sony headunit, with 6x9's front and rear, dvd player built in to car, lcd monitor in dash, multimedia unit in glove box. De-badged and flushed Silver headlights Colour coded centre bumper strut w number plate relocated to bottom Exterior is mint as fook I kind you not, there is only one pin dent on car above indicator, no scratches or rust. Comes with spare set of targas, all original targa straps bags etc, original rims with brand new tyres as spares, spare master cylinder and loads of bits. Here's the prob, passenger side turbo seal on its way out, I can't afford to get fixed at mo, but can get them recon for about 200.00 each and guaranteed (may as well do both sides) thats excl fitting. I don't know what price to sell for / if it will sell needing a new tubby seal, runs mint, boosts fine, goes like fook still, no running probs at all! or if it will be me worth holding on and fixing to sell. Also How much would I get if I broke it and sold all bits? although this would be a pain in the ass and I don't think I could bare to see that to happen to a lovely Z, but, I need the cash for the bike and soon as summer is comming. I am really tempted to keep the Z and buy a not as new bike, but, I will not want to use the Z as my daily driver either, I want another dd cause I will be spending some serious dosh on the bike, and won't be able to afford a Z as well! What do you all think guys? I know if I do sell I will regret it

IMHO jobs a goodun compared to before pics!!

Know someone who has a 170 I don't know why! (ugly imho) Nothing but probs, and only two years old, imobiliser probs twice causing them to be stranded, locking probs, air con probs, and lots of general niggly bits going wrong meaning more time in dealer. Mind you they get a brand spanker all time to replace it to drive in so it aint all bad!

p.s I seen pics, and it is good IMHO, I would FAQ or sticky a new post by rob on how to do it with pics when it happens, I know many many peeps would appreciate a seat touch up cheap.

My car had illegal number plates, 1 illegal tyre, a parking break well under MOT limit, emissions too high (due to me playing with TC and having tones of fuel in zorst!) What can I say, I got it passed! Having said that, all other three tyres were brand new I'd just spent 450.00 on three and ran out of cash, the number plate, well who cares?, just replaced the rear brake pads but havnt put new shoes on yet but will do, and the emissions, well usualy it ok. If I'd have turned up to my mate with a rusty shed he would have still told me to **** off, the diff being, he could see I was serious about maintaining it, and he knew I would be good to my word and be doing it. But, I agree with you, too many cut and shut rusty shine over shit getting MOTD to sell at dodgy garages to unsuspecting peeps, thats my prob! Me

Stock Z time is about 14 secs isnt it? Friend of mine was running 13's with only a boost upgrade and 12's with nos

Yeh, lol so true! My brother works for a main dealer and they take cars in p/x for like 2k and flog em to highest bidding local trader, sometime for stupid prices like 50.00!!! Then that little twat does nowt and puts it straight up for like 3k. Depends on the margin they make on the new one tho. I mean from experience its all dependant on the car your buying and if from a main dealer, so like a 30k+ car maybe 3.5-5 Max k now I would recon? for a 10k car I dunno say 2.5k? (would be nice if you wanted a 100k car and they still gave you about up to 1/4 percent value lol) Depends where u go to init, cause if you go to a main dealer where they only like 'new' cars on the forecourt they really dont want it, but if you manage to get a trader that sells all sorts u get a better price, cause he'll sell it instead of just handing it off to a trader or auction. Trading in IMHO is a mugs game though, unless you've got serious problems with the car, and bodge it to get it there, or serious money to throw away. Thats the only time I would trade in lol.
