running prob mas?
Hi, Me mates got a problem wit his Z, basically he said it started when he was doing over a ton on the motorway for some time. The road was wet as ****, nasty rain and cars infront splashing up spray. Now the car will not rev over 2000 rpm and keeps spluttering kinda like on the rev limit at 2k. After a while goes to restart and it wont almost like the engine is flooded? Any ideas on what this could be? he was told possibly air mas / sensor, and wants to take the one off of my Z to try on his, two things; 1. does this sound like a mas prob 2. is it worth me ripping mine off? cheers steve

Baby on the way...
I have a solution for you mate, the rear facing ones no prob, they fit in back and you are allowed by law to put em in front. They are easy to take in and out. As for when your nipper out grows that, you will not get a seat to fit the rear buckets of the Z. Not even the porsche seats fit. I have tried many stores and nearly all brands, nothing would fit. Also made enquires with the manufacturors and none of them can recomend one. I purchased a baby seat from halfords that wasn't the traditional L shape, the back was higher than the bottom and it looked like it would fit in the bucket. It was the only one this shape i could find. However, it was still to big to fit in the bucket god damn!! (if you want brand though ill find out as it does work later) So determined to make it fit i did the following; Bang a small scatter cushion in the bucket bit. Put the child seat on the back seat, kneal on it (like your supposed to) and strap it in as normal. Tighten the belt as much as poss. You'll notice when youve done this youve still got a fair bit of movement in it, it will come forward enough to hit the front seat, not good. it may rock left and right slightly but not too much. To secure it so it goes no where I then used the strongest lugage strap I could find (I could hang my car off this ****er) with a metal lockinh unit to anchor it around the back seat. Basically I took the cover off of the child seat and threaded the lugage strap through the bottom of it, up the inside and out the top. When you put the cover back on it pads out the strap and your kiddy wont feel it. Then I put one end over the top of the backseat and pushed the other end under the upright bit of the back seat. Tightened em imensley, and locked it shut in the boot at the back of the back seat. Now the seat was going absolutly no where and was safer than the front seats. So the normal seat belt fitting should stop it from going left and right loads, and the lugage strap will stop it from moving forward, or anywhere at all for that matter. My initial concern with this was that the catch of the backseat could come undone in the event of an accident. So I put it through some tests, basically pulling on the fkin thing as hard as I could with some mates, and it didnt come undone once. To resecure it even more though if your a bit paranoid you could bracket the seat to the car chasis. Bear in mind obviously you aint gonna be able to put the seats down anyways with the baby seat in. I used this for over a year and its still working fine. The only thing is remember to put some black cloth padding under the lugage strap where its pulled tight around the seat or you will kill your leather. May sound bodge, but it works fine, looks fine and my little girls fine 2. Steve

Kid's Car seats for a 2+2
I put a cushion in the bucket and then straped the seat to the back with those non-tearing 500kg lugage straps, also using the seat belt through the back. Its now safer than being strapped in the front seat as a driver lol.

Very funny short race against ND's Evo 7RS
This was funny as ****, bear in mind that this car has cost 70k to build and my Z prolly cost around 7500 and i was only running 9-10psi. Basically going to castlecombe, saw the ND evo 7 in front, now I thought, this car will go like ****, as it has an aclaimed 2.79 0-60 and a 5.99 0-100(???) 771bhp? I tickled my car behined him to let him know I was there just for a laugh being silly, he opened it up, so I floored it, I was on his arse up to about 80? he could not pull away? he was definatly giving it some cause of the shit flying out of the zorst. Before we hit the first corner and the Z's backend was spinning like ****natly, I wasn't going to give it full beans at this point as it was going a bit scatty and braked, (as this was my first time driving down that road also having only owned the Z about 3 weeks). I Went back on the throttle gaining back some speed up to about 120 then into another dodgy corner, away with the back wheels again, with a wagon coming the other way. I had to ease of, and brake like fook, of course I take it the driver of the ND car goes there quite a lot and knows the root off by hart, anyway, he was still giving it max round the twisties, I thought, no ****ing way im gonna keep that up or I will crash (im not a brilliant driver) , and just braked down to about 60 and cruised the rest of the way. Point is I would like to have seen a better driver than me who was use to the Z and the road, in my car chasing him down the road as it would of been funny as **** to see what would of happened. Thing is, if the evo is 2.79 0-60 and I was only running low boost, I must be doing 2.5 0-60 with high boost lmao (joke of course). I hope he was running with like sub 5psi or thats a bit embarassing. (P.S no slander intended just my view of a situation, ;) )

Wtf!!!!
They are fat cars with nearly 400hp as standard, and most people who own em are enthusiasts who will tweak them a little. Not suprised it F****d off into the distance, im more suprised that it managed to get that much grip, they smoke their tyres like a bar steward. I wanted one B4 i got me 2hundy and the Z, but no way on earth could I afford the cost of one, and to maintain it. Steve

Turbo's
Hmmm, What the FCUK have neon washers got to do with it? I guess Japcar has some on his tasteful Rally Shopper. And Y do you beleive that everyone under the age of 90 wears a baseball cap? That’s just a stereotypical, nonsensical, outmoded, eccentric emblematic response expected from a deep-rooted, humdrum of an individual such as yourself. :o Thx Steve
