Trade-in value 90 TT
P.S don't u just hate those dodgy cash 4 cars ppl, u could always get one of them to value it lmao, probably get some tyre kicking redneck come out to value your car, u know the ones, 50 quid says he's got alittle glass book that he carries like it's gold and thinks that what he says is law and the jedi mind trick will work with this magical tatty book in his hand! Then he'll recon it's worth 1500 cause 'they aint what they used to be' with the old 'well, you know the 300 a few years ago, but now, we'll they don't sell and they ain't what they used to be' then he'll start kicking your tyres at which point you kick him in the nuts and shove the book down his throat and then set fire to his beige volvo.

washer jet quikie
Hehe, always a joke about them when it comes to washer jets! Speaking of which I was speaking to a guy a few weeks back who owned a GTO that said he thought they looked good   And I thought all GTO drivers were old men not macdee car park hangouts lol He did say he wouldn't fit them for having the piss taken out of him, but he did say otherwise they would be straight on it, then again he had neons under the sides too, but thats another debate!

washer jet quikie
I hope the real reason is not that your putting neons on

Small TV Screen in Dash
Now I know this isnt job of the century and I havn't got round to finishing it yet, BUT, when all in the car it looks tidy I think, and when out it looks a fooking mess and in the dark when some theaving toerag is looking in quick it will look like nothing there to nick or its already been nicked. Hence y I like it Here's the pics; Its only a cheapo ceturian one, but looks ok, been working fine for six months and does the job for me, like I said think it was about 80.00 new.

Small TV Screen in Dash
I bought mine from a place in london about 80.00 for a screen i think, I made the mounting bracket meself, so its removable also when i leave car, couldnt afford one of them 1000.00 ones that folds down and sits in your car ready to be nicked. I'll dig out link in a sec and post up some piccies mate. steve

Anyone know where to get a towbar?
Heres an idea! Why not cut a whole in the back bumper just beneath the number plate, so you cant see it when the number plate is on, (say a few cm shorter etc top to bottom) Then see if you can get a towing place to weld supports from back up to that point, put a towing plate flush with the hole. Remove gear and put plate on when not towing, remove plate and put gear back on and hitch up when you need. Don't think it's illegal cause you;ll have a plate on yur trailor etc??

Anyone know where to get a towbar?
Find an old shity car thats been dumped, or a pikey wagon whilst he's passed out pissed, and take an angle grinder to the towbar supports, then go home, bolt it on and bodge it up with some bits of rubber and some used chwing gum. :D

PVC Fitting guide
I didnt think the piccies on TT net were very clear if you dont know your way around the plenium, but thats just me. Basically, disconnect and take the battery out of the car, unbolt the wiring harness on the passenger side of the car, you'll need to unbolt the balance bar, cause the bracket that holds the wires is bolted on to the same bolts that hold it on. Work down the side of the plenium unbolting a few bolts that hold the bracket on, disconect any breather tubes that are on the side in the way. Twist the little plastic clips that are attached to the loom holding it onto the metal bracket and remove the metal bracket. Think there are about four of these clips from memory. Pull the loom out of the way slightly, look down toward the back end of the plenium, just tucked in a recess is a hose going into plenium, back part has a gold/bronze coloured elbow joint going into back of plenium from side, and valve is attached at the other end of hose the one that will have several threads showing and facing forwads toward front of car and plenium. The back of the pipe at the elbow joint can be pulled off but not very well, now, in hindsight I would have twisted and pulled the elbow joint from the plenium, thus freeing up the hose and you have it hanging just attached to valve, then I would have used an open ended spanner (think its something silly like a 17mm from mem) to remove the valve from plenium. Then take the lot indoors, and assemble the new lot, take back to car, screw valve in, elbow joints already in end of new hose, and bang it back in. Job done. Driver side IMHO is easier, the hose is thinner, and smaller, is more flexible it seems and easier to get to. Pretty much do same as passener side, and remove the cruise control bits mounted in the wing, its only held on by about two bolts. Tou should be able to see the drivers one easy. I don't know if taking this elbow joint off is a good idea or not, I can't check if it says anything about it on TT net as for some reason the banner on the site keeps fooking up the loading of the page on me pc. But anyway, I did it, and no one has said anything against it at mo, the car has been bvack together for a month and is running mint, so removing and replacing this joint cause no issues. Cheers me

white leather cracks ? read on..
Hey just an idea, but we could all post up some ideas and methods of 'quick fixes' for interior problems / exterior problems (light scratches, medium scratches, deep scratches, cracked leather, dull steering wheel etc etc) just to help people mint their cars a bit or to help em fix it cheap when they are low on cash. Would could post it up on faq or something? silly idea? don't know. But while im saying this, if your steering wheel is looking tatty, put some leather restorer on the actual wheel where it has peeled, let it soak in, then get a tube of leather laquer from a fabric shop for like 2.00 and bang it on, job done, good as new :D be suprised how many people I seen with crap looking s/wheels for the sake of a couple of quid and 10 mins work!

white leather cracks ? read on..
Good idea, was gonna do a simalar thing but with neat dye and a match stick to put in the cracks. Havn't got round to it yet tho. A bit OT but anyone know what I Can use to paint-cover the rubber window seals, cause me bottom ones are fading white and it looks cack. Silicone cover wont work cause its actually got the colour faded. cheers

PVC Fitting guide
Yeh just watch out trying to get the hoses off mate cause they have got restrictors in them in the middle and are solid. Did anyone else pull the metal elbow peice going into the back of the plenium off? Cause I did and it was a peice of piss then to fit the hose back on, cause i put the elbow peice in the hose off of the car, then screwed the valve into the plenium and then put the hose on it. A quick whack to get the elbow peice back on and bobs your uncle. Don't know if thats a bit of a bodger job, but it works mint. I tried to get the hoses on for about 2 hours before with no luck of bending them whatsoever. Anyone else think that was a wise idea? I mean I don't car cause it's all been working fine since. I also had to take the cruise control bits off to get to the passenger side, but that was only a couple of bolts extra.

Stock Z TT owners beware.......
If the old 21t is anything to go buy the megane will be a good car. I had 2 21t's years ago, took the ph2 to prima racing and had a stage 3 conversion on it, bout 260bhp and the T3 hyb. They could run 20psi as standard and had a renault sport lightweight engine in. Fast as fook when tuned. Standard at 175bhp was a good runner for the cossie, cause the torque was about 190+lb compare to 200lb on cossie. Good at the time for a car you could buy for 3k instead of 10-15k. moded pulled up to 160 a treat :D Was only getting 12mpg- on fuel computer nearly as bad as the Z lol. Couldnt get hardly any grip tho as fwd one not a quadra, wheels span up till third, and those were the days when I changed gear like automan and bent selector rods on a regular basis lmao. Flogged it for stupid money when everything started blowing up and off the engine. I took Jay to pick his Z up in it, well we tried on three occasions and ended up on the side of the road. But when it was going it was... However, nowt could keep up / over take me up to 100 at the time. Well fun and underestimated car. Ahhh to be 17 again.
