For round light lovers
Whilst we are on the subject, remember the clear fiat light conversion? they are all buying for a lot of money? check this out http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/SVCMORELIGHTS.HTM They are the clear hella rear lights with the outter rim on this page, not too sure myself on it. Anyways loads of styles of lights here cheap, a lot are oldies tho.

For round light lovers
I am pretty sure they are standard bullseye lights you buy for various kit cars. I was going to replace the fiat lights on mine with some vette, or bullseye style ones, there are some real nice ones on the buses round town that would go well but I have failed to steal any yet.

Worst TV ad.....
Whats this button do? who gives you extra WE DO! What a load of shit I really hate that advert, the Maestro one is horribly catchy and disturbing. By far the worse is that stupid norton finance advert where the old chaps are jumping hurdels, or the one where some square looking guy is trying to show off on a tightrope with a shoe box, in general all finance adverts anoy me, I dont even think that loan companies should be allowed to advertise to get people in debt! that twat on the Admiral adverts dressed well, like an admiral funny enough! whats the point in him just standing there? and his voice ARGGHHHHH! What about the never ending series of flash adverts with the guy from brushstroaks? does the man never age???!!! The list is endless, but the best adverts? the ones that are lifetime direct or whatever else who do them, (those collections of the best driving songs etc) why are they good? because I was pissing myself laughing the other day when everyone at work knew all of the songs mixed together from the advert because they had heard it so much and only thought it was them going nuts that knew the new remix and order of 20 old songs lol.

Nitrous Oxide
Fair point mate lol, And craig, no idea mate, I know nothing about the NA sorz, maybe someone else can help ya on that question. I know people that have had nitrous fitted to all sorts of cars, the general consesus being that as long as the car is in good health  and: A) if you dont run a progressive controller run a 'sensible' shot, say 80bhp on a 3.0ltr is good, but 80bhp jets on a 1.2 nova that only produces 80hp is not good lol. That would be more sensible to run a 20bhp shot max. Just go for a sensible amount for the condition, and size of the engine if your banging it all in, in one go that is. I do know someone who runs 60 jet on a 1.4, it works well, but after days and weeks and months of ragging it, the car is now behaving like a dog, doesnt tick over right, squeeks rattles and he has wrecked one clutch (which is to be expected! I think the car only had 90-100 bhp to start with) B) if you opt for a progressive controller, then you can double or triple the above figure, but again depending on the engine condition. I dont know the ins and outs of it at all, I havnt even got it fitted, would be best if you like for me to give you me mates number so he can run through, prices, fitting involved and what the best set up would be. Its also worth pointing out that a 60hp jet is likely to give less / more dependant on the engine, it seems from what i've seen at there work shop that normal engines that are N/A give a fair bit less than the jet sugests, whilst performance engines (N/A) will give almost the correct figure. Turbo cars can sometimes give more or less dependant on the set up. Its best to start off I would say with your engine at around 30 (to be on the safe side) and work up probably to about 60-80. But its all up to you matey! Its brill for N/A cars as it gives you a massive boost in torque right to the end of the revs, but dont expect it to be anything like it is in films like F&F etc, you wont be wheel spinning all down the road to 150!!!!!

p.s Y does everyone call it NOS?, that means nitrous oxide systems, which is an american company that develop a kit! not Nitrous Oxide as in the mod or the gas!

Nitrous Oxide
Hi chaps, Wanted to get you thoughts on the following, just out of interest. Was anyone at Santa POD late last year? and saw a Silver Z (high rear wing, anteras) Jap spec, HUI on the plate running? Anyways, this chap bought the car last year, paid 6.5k for it, ( overpriced for the spec but never mind) had a few mods, but no major mods, only the normal boost upgrade, induction, and (an unknown) chip. Anyways, he ran a 13.2 sec quater mile, and that was hitting 80-100 shot of Nitrous Oxide toward the middle of second gear only (he claims). He was only runing .85 bar also. (I know this for a fact for some reason its against his religion to run a bar???) This was his second attempt ever at running the Z on the strip and also just had the car in drive from the start (no reving left foot braking etc) so IMHO not a good start. The guy is a friend of mine, I wasnt there but saw the slip with the time to prove it. This race he claimed was against a skyline who the owner was claiming to have over 600bhp. (finished in .4 later than him). Anyway, his old chap runs a business called Gas & Go in swindon fitting nitrous kits to various cars, motorbikes etc so they do know a lot about it. My point being, I have heard a lot of people slagging off nitrous especialy companies who have said that nitrous oxide will not work well on a Z, and nearly all the people he speaks to who owns Z cringes when he tells them he is running nitrous, because they think that the engine will not take it? Also I have heard a few people saying that nitrous is 'fake power', he has raced a few people that have asked him to turn the nitrous off as it is not 'real' power and is cheating? WTF? it's a valid tuning modification in my book>? Just depends if you have the nads to use it (because of all the negative hype surrounding it). Anyway, my personal opinion is for a quick fix to get power 'occasionaly' when you want it, nitrous is a good idea, I mean you can spend thousands to get the equivilent power, and how often do you drive absolutly flat out everywhere? Dont get me wrong, I think spending a lot of $$ on engine mods to get high HP fiigures should be respected, im in the process of getting new turbos and intercoolers etc myself, but, I just wanted to know your thoughts? I'm also purchasing a nitrous kit, of which will be fitted to my car shortly.

Fan Shroud
p.s you can kind of see what i mean here, no shroud; and I meant above the air not being concentrated in one place as much on the rad as it was before, of course a lot of the air will still be getting on it or does the rad fan suck the air through the rad? I wouldnt have thought so surely? its too far away it would be mounted on top of it to do that???
-
Fan Shroud
Hmm, Been thinking about this one, took the oldie off and havnt replaced it. Didn't really worry me, i've got the underside covered in all the plastic trin so nothing should get underneath to hit it, nor on top cause the bonnet will be shut. Also a bit dangerous on startup, but if any one is silly enough to have their hands in the fan when a car is starting then thats a bit silly anyway. My main concern is that the fan is sat infront of the rad, and the shroud directs the air straight onto the rad, where as at the mo, its sat infront of the rad, but not being directed very well. I'm thinking this shouldnt make much of a diff, as when im moving it should probably help expel the heat of the rad anyways, but what about the air from the viscous not being concentrated on the rad anymore? Good / bad idea? The whole fan shroud thing is a pain in the ass and just gets in the way anyways so im not in favour of putting it back in a hurry. Thoughts

Whats your favourite bodykit combo?
I like the vented pannel, where can I get one of them from? my only worry would be doesnt it get loads of water on the AFM and the induction tho?

GTOs and Supras
I like GTO's, they do look pants as standard, the wheels are horrible and look tiny, but, a nice set of 18's and a little lower and they transform. I think with a few subtle mods they are a real nice looking car, much better from the back than a Z too, but a bit oldie from the front (not into the lights). I was going to buy one before I decided on the Z. That said, I chose a Z over the GTO because my preference was to the Z, I liked the look better, and most other things. Supras on the other hand do look kak, i'm not saying that just cause I own a Z, another possible car was the supra, but, I preffered the look of the Z again although older it just looked meaner ans had more presence. The supra looks really odd, reminds me of a speeder from starwars, they are really flat on the bottom right from the front to the back, in a straight line it seems no definition, and the top ius just bubbly. I couldn't justify the cost of a supra for a car that wasnt as good IMHO as the Z. The only reason I was going to buy a sup is because it was newer, but that changed. I decided I didn't want to buy the car just for a letter on the plate.

anyone know how
Why dont you just find the point that trigers them, whack it with a soft mallet and then rip it out after its inflated? lol
