I dearly miss the flames my 2hundy used to fire out (with no flamer kit!), it just doesnt happen on the Z now does it :( The times someone used to be on my boot like an idiot through traffic, on the accel up to 3.5 k, tease it off, and BOOM, hehe bye bye mr tailgaters bumper. Some of their faces used to be pictures, i'll always remember when I went to cornwall with my whole family for a week, I got a phonecall on the motorway from my hysteric mother saying my car was on fire :D

lol shunt, That fuse box is a killer!, why the hell did they put it there? I dread blowing a fuse, it means wrestling with the accelerator continuously whilst standing on your head in the foot well like a ****ing clown, is there anything on the Z easy to get to?

He was a chopper then mate, had to be blagging. He probably just said it being funny, all mouth and no trousers, just to get you a little worried. It was probably a TDI and he'd just had it shipped, so the extra 40% torque probably seemed god like to what he was used to. He was I beleive shitting on a sugar pedastal waiting for you to bring the rain in, and bring his ass back down to earth.

Well, its taken me three months, to bling the engine up, change the water pump, recon the MS, change all the brakes, service everything, fit and sort all the new interior, fit the new bat, alarm box,clean off and re-seal the underside, and other blah blah blah niggly bits that needed doing!! Got it insured and MOT'd at the weekend, sailed through :D not one advisory. Put some rent in the window today! Wanted to take it for a test flight tonight but just got back after not quite finishing it yet :( Still got to put all the plastic trim and covers on underneath the car, and finish mounting / making a pod for the cruise control. All I can say is it's going to be cutting it fine for billing, if somethings wrong tomorrow when I test it no billing for me :((( Fingers crossed, wish me luck!!!

I guessed when my speedo said 176 It was more like 168 or there abouts, but who can tell? I might just disconnect mine on the way to billing, "Can you tell me what speed you were doing sir?" "Uh no, my speedo stopped working on the way here, see for yourself!, I just assumed my sensible friends in the other Z's were doing the limit?" lol

Autos are soo nice, I hated autos, never owned one but drove a few and hated it. The Z is my first auto car, and I love it, never thought I would own an auto, but after driving it, well I fell in love. Yes its lazy, yes I think its faster to 100 (only 1 change instead of two?), yes it has less tubby lag, and yes its just like playing a playstation game lol, plant the accelerator and hold on tight with both hands :D Some people say you cant get as involved with the driving with an auto, whilst I agree you can change up down and choose the revs you want on an emanuel, the auto I would say is more of a concentrated drive, cause you plant it hold on with both hands, and just focus everything on where your going and cornering instead of fannying around up and down gears all the time, two hands on the wheel always better than one! (when racing of course). One thing you will find, if you get in an auto and drive it fast, it will not seem as fast as someone who knows how to drive an auto Z, its weird. When I bought mine, I just couldnt make it go like my mate could, then I got used to it and you get a 'feel' for the kickdown and how to get it to change up or drag the gears out. Same thing happend with my friend, he got in mine planted it and just couldnt seem to get it to kick down and stuff. He was set on getting a manual, it took him a while to get a feel for my auto, then he loved it and bought an auto too. However, one thing I do tend to hate on auto's it seems, if you are flooring it, and you are pulling much harded than the person in front and let off at high revs, when you go back on the gas after a few seconds, the torque converter seems to slip the power back in, where as on a manual its there. This I've experienced in my car, two others, and one of them has an SE fast road box on, so I guess its a common pain in the ass thing with autos. Hmmm I must be doing something wrong? round town i consistently get 25 miles to a tenner lol. On long journeys tho it seems really good, cruises very well.

What time will you lot be there till? I dont know how long it will take us to get that far so we might be a bit late to meet up with u lot too.

Recently I fitted loads of new bits inc water pump etc and had to take the rad out to get to everything ok. There were two hoses at the bottom of the rad which were loose, I took them off and replaced the clips as they were knackerd. It looked like transmision fluid was leaking out of them or similar, any ideas? put it all back together, and an after thought was that if this is, then perhaps it may now have an air bubble in causing the box not to work as well as it should??? I havnt test driven it yet so cant tell, tomorrow will be the first drive before billing so I hope it all goes ok. Any ideas on the stuff comming out and if tranny fluid will it have caused a prob? the level seems ok still.

I've got an auto, I'm running 16psi, stock tubbies and internals, SE chip, Induction, Straight through zorst from downpipe to back, I've seen 176 on it and it still had a 'little' more to go (was pulling very slowly at this point) speedo could have been out, due to rims and such.
