  1. not really too sure which pipes you are on about Gibster. do you mean the pipes that "hug" the turbos with bango fittings on the ends or the hard lines that made up all the junk with the throttle coolers? or the actual water lines that connect the two matrix feeds to the turbos?
  2. they benefit by channeling the very usefull air through the intercoolers
  3. Bazz, are you running a stock ECU as this mod will only work on an AEM stand alone.
  4. Jaffa allowed me the task of fitting the disc. i would advise you not to do it unless you have a vice with soft jaws, a small punch and drifts and a special tool to get the security scews out (if fitted with them). i dont have the tool for the screws so, all i did was to drill a small pilot hole in the heads then used an "easy out" to extract them. the only thing you need to replace is the actual disc itself. what ever you do. do not attempt to disasemble the optical eye unit.
  5. not too sure on the colour codes but, in the wiring diagram it says that one wire goes to pin 25 on the ECU (colour code SB) and the other, too a 10a fuse in the relay box (colour code B/R) HTH
  6. very nice!! thats the probblem with my Autogauges, great at night but, really hard to see during the day
  7. do a search for Ultralite spacers, i fitted 20mm and 25mm on the other halfs 350z. very light weight and very high quality
  8. i'd be up for that. i think what you (AndyGP) have been doing is very interesting and would love to see it all
  9. thanks for the really kind words Alex, i'm glad to have been of service:)
  10. bit of a dodgy one that. i personally would strip the front down. if the cam pulleys slip the belt might jump a tooth on the crank sprocket so it would be a strip down anyway. also, the tensioner might well "tension" whilst the belt is slack. to be honset, i dont think it would be worth the worry but, of course. that is my own opinion. you may well find a way of securing the cam pulleys some how.
  11. would be good to get a reading from both rails. you never know, there might be a way of setting the ECU to read two sensors just like if you fit two MAF's. would be good to see some pics, i'm very interested in this :)
  12. not sure on how the stock ECU would work with that, best speak to the JD man for that. the stock rail only has a temp reading from one bank anyway. i cant see the temp being too different if at all between banks. have you got any pics of the rail you will be using?
  13. are you sticking with the stock ECU. i know the AEM does'nt use the fuel temp sensor so other after market ECU's might not either. if you do need the sensor, i think as close to the rail as possible. like you said, in the Y peice would be a good location
  14. sorry Mike, i'l go sit on the naughty step
  15. if the hole is threaded, you can use a tappered hardend grub screw tp fill it up with
  16. found a handly link for you Al ;)... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Round-Mouth-Mini-Spade-Shovel-Metal-Detecting-Camping_W0QQitemZ160367853405QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_3?hash=item2556ab3f5d
  17. red zed with full body kit heading towards Ascot, i was going in the other direction, i did flash but, i was in the other half's 350z... was it you?
  18. i would imagine the small hole in the turbine housing would be for an exhaust gas sensor, is it threaded? when i fitted my "disco potatos" i fittied them with braided lines that came with them. i dont supose that fitting a restrictor would be a problem. are you going to use the stock lines? as for the water cooling, will this help...
  19. ahhhh, i recognise that car!! sounds gorgeous, especially when it lets off!! that will be an insert which you can remove by taking the clear perspex off once the clock set is out
