  1. oh and I'm 5'10" and she was 5'4".... and it wasn't a T-bar.
  2. I managed it in a MK1 MR2... now that's an achievemnet
  3. Polish the inside of the windows and check that you don't have a leak into the boot. the seals around the rear window are prone to fail, this causes the rear window to mist up. Also helps to air out the inside of the car by parking in in a garage with the windows open from time to time. If the matrix is leaking the carpet around the footwells would probably be damp and smell rank. HTH
  4. I've had experience with loads of them ebay remote start alarms and i gotta say the manix one is the best I've come accross. None of these systems are recognised by the insurance industry so you need to be a little creative to get around that. I only fit a system on a manual car if the system has a built in turbo timer as this stops you from leaving it in gear when you park up. The main thing to look for is the way that the system picks up that the engine has actually fired up or not. The cheapest ones use a wire looped around the HT lead from the coil (something the Zed does not have anyway) This sytem is crap and means the car will probably take 2 or 3 goes to fire up. The better systems pick up from the cars electrical system or oil pressure. HTH
  5. Sounds like one of your cats just used up it's 9th life. I think the red cat light signifies cat overheat, strange that it should happen after such a short distance. You could try running a diagnostic and see if it throws up any fault codes: http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html
  6. did mine a few weeks ago. didn't bother with the block drain plugs just flushed it through at the top and bottom hoses. Bit of advice... the drain tap at the bottom of the rad is a bugger to get at without elevating the car as the rad is quite far back almost out of reach, so i wouldn't bother with that either, just disconnect the top and bottom hoses, HOWEVER - detach the hoses at the rad and not the aluminium pipes as these pipes get corroded with age and I had to use a load of PTFE to get the hoses to re-seal on them :( The other thing is when everything is back together you'll suddernly realise "SHIT! - I forgot about the expansion tank" - I syphoned it using a length of clear hose, refilling each time it got near the bottom untill the syphoned collant in the clear hose went from chocolatey brown to clear.... The syphoning only made me vommit twice :hurl:
  7. Is that's what's up with all these big Rappers & Hip-Hop guys then...? Lack of stimulation. Poor buggers  :mac1:
  8. oooh Miaw! Could be worse... could have been a shot without the nice ass to cover some of it. I don't mind the vented front wings and bonnet tho :)
  9. 1280kg is the curb weight of a stock RX-7... Thats a lot less than any 300ZX. If weight is the deciding factor in any car purchase then all those with a *lighter than T-bar" slicktop have bought the wrong car :smash:
  10. One of the best films I've seen this year... Natalie Portman would get it too :)
  11. Is it for filiming yourself or for capturing the fearfull faces and screams of your passengers
  12. hey!! I didn't think of that. Nice one bud
  13. Hey Spencer, I think we have our wires crossed. I had my cam-belts changed and as part of the routine you need to drain and refill the cooling system, this was done for me by Zworld. So what i meant was the bottle has not been topped up since it was drained and refilled. I now have a replacement stock rad cap :D .
  14. I had a play with the sprint/acceleration timers... They would be soooooooo much fun if it weren't for the fact that my KPH->MPH converter cocks it up :(
  15. my colleague tapping away at his keyboard - it's starting to annoy me
  16. One at a time please.... I aslo should mention that i havent topped up the expansion tank for over 6 months and this is the first time it's done it. Coolant started to overflow as soon as the engine got warm.
  17. After being away 2 weeks (and having to jump start the car) I noticed coolant driping from under the expansion tank... It's dribbling out of the overflow in the neck. My first port-of-call is to replace the rad cap as this seems to have come up on many previous posts related to similar problems. Was thinking of getting a nice blingy one but they all seem to have a higher pressure rating than the standard 1.2bar. My concearn is, if you increase the pressure in your cooling system aren't you asking for trouble, like heater matrix failure and leaks from any other possible weak point of a 16 year old cooling system...?
  18. sounds like problems i had....... just before my MAF died :(
  19. I'm going to try and send yuo my mobile number via your own website. Give me a ring this afternoon if it gets to you. To be totally honest... If my insurance hadn't insisted on me having to send them proof that i had paid to join som sort of club, I wouldn't have bothered paying my hard earned cash to be taunted and ignored by this rowdy lot!! But i did and to be honest, it's wrth every penny :hyper:
  20. Dogging... not really... partial to a good foxing every now and again... boom-boom :nana2:
  21. i could be wrong.... Have you tried high octane in it... obviously you need to give it a couple off GOOD fill-ups before you'll notice any difference.
