Is this ok..? One end of my Prop
So i need to let the garage know that it must be fitted to the prop a particular way up, to the gearbox a particular way up, and together a particular way up or it'll all be out of ballance?

Is this ok..? One end of my Prop
Oh balls!!! The prop is already in 2 halves and doesn't appear to have been marked :(

Is this ok..? One end of my Prop
I don't have time mate... wish i did... I also don't have access to a ramp low enough to get onto :( The guys fitting it are Evo specialists... Don't think they've had the pleasure of many Zeds :)

BOV Hard Pipes
Mine are sat right infront of the throttle bodies. I have no idle problems and I'd even say that it feels like it spools up a bit quicker since i fitted them there. I also used the existing RUBBER hoses by fitting aluminium T-pieces into them. :)

Is this ok..? One end of my Prop
Just to explain..... I'm booked in to have my prop changed tomorrow. My centre support is suspect so I managed to source the above reconditioned prop with new centre bearing to replace the whole lot. I'm not sure which end is which but the end in the picture is part of the half without the centre support on the recon one. Would i be better off not using it?

Competency of my local Tein dealer...?
I didn't wanna mess with it myself as I paid to have it all set up and laser aligned etc... but in light of the confusion I might just mark it up where it is and then thread it down just to see what happens... Bring back the leaf spring... :(

Reco Prop
I decided against the one-piece. Don't like the idea of no centre support to take some of the weight. I recon you're going to run into problems with other transmission bearings after a while without it. If the prop doesn't ned to flex in the middle then why would nissan have designed it to do so??? .....Pile-on!!!!!

Competency of my local Tein dealer...?
NOW I'm COMPLETELY BLOODY CONFUSED!!!! So are you saying you're now doing a U-turn and agreeing with the Tein dealer? The collar is threaded as high up the shock as it will go yet the car still sits several cm lower than a stock Zed.

Thinking about fitting Nitrous...who has it on here?
It's good but bloody expensive. Had it on my Prelude. Make sure you get a progressive wet kit. A grand should see you all set up but it's the gas itself thats bloody crippling. at around £50 to fill a 10pound bottle that should last you an evenings play. HTH P.S. You will need an uprated clutch. Oh and the downside is if you're running a big shot, you'll need a timing adjustment that will make your Zed slower when not using the juice... unless the technology has changed recently :)

Competency of my local Tein dealer...?
AAAARRRRGHGGHHHH!!!!!! :hurl: I can't argue with this guy!!! You absolutely sure about that. My Teins are realy old, could they have worked the oposite way on early set-ups????

Competency of my local Tein dealer...?
Just come off the phone with them and I've been put in my place.... The weight of the car sits on the springs which are sitting on the collars. Therefore by threading the collar down the shock you lower the ride height of the car not vice versa. All makes sense now!! Car is now booked in for the prop exchange :) Duh

Competency of my local Tein dealer...?
My recon prop arrived this morning and I'm about to book the Zed in at the same place that recently sorted out my suspension/wheel alignment. These guys are supposed to be the best local performance car people, specialising in fast japanese but particularly evo's and supras. They are also authorised Tein dealers. Whilst changing my brakes last weekend I had a look at my front shocks (tein). Now, according to the garage in question. The front shocks are adjusted as high as they'll go (they even sugested the suspension could be the wrong ones for the car) yet you cannot get your hand in between the tyre and wheelarch. Anyhow, looking at the shock, the height adjustment collar is right at the top of it's thread. Would this not suggest that the suspension is actually at it's lowest setting?? I can't quite get my head around it, but if that is the case I don't think I'll go back there with my new prop :nono:

Falcon security
You can buy the Predator Eov4+ on ebay for around a ton. All you need then is a mate who's a qualified auto-electrician to sign the certificate for you. :) Wish I had gone for that instead of the Global Gadgets one that was £20 cheaper :(

if you were to sell your zed
Dreams and aspirations aside... Seeing as the average Zed strugles to fetch 3k, unless you plan on saving up double the value of your car you ain't gonna get much. I have about 1.5k set aside and if i were to get 3.5 k for my car, there is absolutely nothing I can afford that's worthy of taking my Zed's place. Top choice woud be an FD RX-7... But I'd never find one for 5k that doesn't need a couple extra grand spending on it!

Bianic unzips his fly.
Hello, good morning and welcome. Nice Zed. Rumour has it that a grounding kit can improve the smoothness at idle. Mine was lumpy as hell when i got it.... I found the problem was a vacuum leak on the clutch booster.

Just fitted.......
Dave! I have one but i gave up on installing it becaus i burnt out the cars window control module trying to figure out what wires to connect it to. Don't suppose you took any shots or have a wiring diagram???
