Interesting thread, always good to flush out these ideas of how to get people involved. Jeff, have you read Nick’s thread about toothless the dragon? It’s a feat of engineering and pretty ground breaking when it comes to the VG30 development in the UK, I reckon a man of your caliber would find it pretty interesting.

The regulations are changing regularly so it can be confusing if a tester is doing 99.9% “normal” test criteria based on the year. It’s usually the case that the tester can’t find the model on the test machine and so just inputs it as a 350z which has a stricter test criteria. For info, these are the figures he should be working to taken from the current edition of the test criteria: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/676700/in-service-exhaust-emission-standards-for-road-vehicles-19th-edition.pdf- Failed MOT
I agree with Nick, you should be able to get around the emissions thing assuming he’s testing it as a 300zx (which he can’t because it won’t be on his database) as he will have to cross reference the limit manually. Do you have a copy of the emissions test sheet by any chance and we can confirm this.- Failed MOT

72L [emoji106]- Air con screech..... not belt
Yes. When the load is applied on the belt, it puts more strain on the pulley bearing and can cause your symptom. Out of curiosity have you checked the belt condition and tension?- What did you do to your zed today?

In fact, today I took my Z out on a little excursion to investigate the possibility of having my front bumper refinished for the NEC. I thoroughly enjoyed the blast out in the sunshine [emoji3508]- What did you do to your zed today?
I’ve found it doesn’t matter how many times you remove the front bumper, it’s always a pain in the hoop!- My daughter calls it Toothless the Dragon: My ‘95 TT Z
I do like the way that all of this extra engineering has been put in place simply to maintain the air conditioning system, without compromise to your reliable power goals - hats off to you matey! This is OEM+ on steroids!- Air con screech..... not belt
If the pulley bearing is no good, it won’t spin smoothly and freely and might sound or feel rough.- Lakes Weekend 2019 @ Fat Lamb 23rd to 26th August
After the success of this event last year, I really expected it to gather momentum and be even bigger this year. For me there were a few factors that made me drop out, the obvious cost of the weekend with hotel bills etc, child care issues as my wife and I were both keen to come, but more importantly, we move in a few days time and we really needed this weekend to get organised! I do hope that we can make a success of this event as it’s one of the most attractive on the calendar in my eyes. Besides, I like kittens!- Air con screech..... not belt
Check the tensioner pulley, being low down these tend to suffer first. I had the same issue with mine and found the bearing in the pulley was shot. A replacement bearing for less than £5 and I was good to go!- Newbie looking to buy a z32 TT
