300zx chassis treatment?
I agree, that does look a bit much! Those prices have taken a hike too I think. The only reason I suggested it was because I purchased a large kit and had to buy extra tins of the underseal and cavity wax. That said, mine is a 2+2 and I did go properly into town with it! Give it a go with the medium, if you run out you could always get some more.

TwinZ demo video
For those of you not on Facebook or who haven’t seen it, this is the new demo video. I’d love to see a Z like this in the flesh! Any fans? I would happily fit this wide arch kit keeping my 89 front end, type one spoiler and stick bonnet/nose panel. It would have to be smoothed in just like that one too.

What did you do to your zed today?
Yesterday I managed to buzz out the marks left behind from the wet sanding at Kraftwork. There were some areas that hadn’t been fully polished out and, although the car looks nice and shiny from a distance (as you can see in the video), when you get a bit closer and stick a light source on it, it reveals all sorts of swirly nasties. Nothing a session when the S20 couldn’t solve though: Before... After... The pic videos shows some dust and the odd fleck of a swirl, but it’ll do a trip! I hadn’t done the area below the pinstripe for comparison. Later on in the year (hopefully in a new garage), I’ll spend a good session buzzing it to perfection before trying a ceramic coat. Today I gave the rest of the car a quick wash, the interior a spruce up, took the rear wheels off to clean up the patchy disc hubs (looking forward to getting my AP 2 piece discs) and hard wired in a Garmin dashcam! All set for the weekend I reckon [emoji106]

Temp gauge stuck!?
First I’ve heard of that happening? Looks like there’s plenty of clearance in the pic?

What did you do to your zed today?
Took mine to Kraftwork this morning to get the rear bumper wet sanded and polished back up to remove some defects that had appeared since it was repainted. It’s difficult to tell from the pics but they show the matte finish left from wet flattening. As good as Davide’s work is, I like to finish it down to an even glossier finish, so now just to buzz over it with my finishing polish before the weekend. [emoji41]

Time to tackle all the jobs I did not want to do
Hats off to you Tony. Fingers crossed you’ll get it done as it will be great to see you at the show, have a catch up and see the new lease of life you have breathed into that machine. [emoji41]

Japanese Matsuri at the museum of power 30th June 2019
By the way Gary, you were selected for an award but because you left early, they gave it to a Nissan Juke. He won £500, free entry to the museum for 2 months, a trophy and a bottle of Tesco tyre shine.

What did you do to your zed today?
Gave it a quick wash this morning so it’s ready to jump in and drive to the Museum of Power for Sunday’s Japanese Matsuri show. I’m busy right up to the show from now so a quick spruce up to make the old girl presentable! I also noticed that the freshly repaired and painted rear bumper (from a scrape last year!) is showing signs of the lacquer pitting and sinking, so I booked it in with Kraftwork to rectify in a couple of weeks time.

Squeeking brakes
Are they GTR brakes you have as the GTS (as mentioned in the first post) are similar to the stock Z32 calipers with slightly larger discs?

HICAS warning light comes on and stays on
Wow, what a post! This has a feel of one of Jeff’s old tech threads that we don’t see these days. Including some pictures of the surgery and procedure for clarity will finish it off nicely. Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences. The historical fix for this from my knowledge, has generally been to just add more fluid whether it looks low or not. I wonder how many owners have had the fault continuously and repetitively like yourself? I would imagine, most of them had given up and locked it out by this point! If it’s not common, it does leave me wondering if there’s potentially an underlying issue causing the excessive heat or fluid turbulence in your case that is above the “usual” owners niggles.
