  1. I think you can use this kit: https://conceptzperformance.com/technafit-stainless-steel-brake-lines-front-rear-big-brake-kit-akebono-stoptech-ap-brembo-etc.-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-rtn-100-200_p_37780.php Just double check the on the caliper to be sure that it’s just an open M10x1 female fitted and not a flanged union inside.
  2. Although having just watched the video of the “hiccup” it doesn’t sound like a fuel starvation struggle. Can you record it for longer so that we can see/hear the cycle of the hiccup?
  3. Sounds like a fair shout, a fuel filter clogging could well be struggling to let fuel through at the lower idle pressure and the stumble is allowing the pressure to build back up again and run for another 20 seconds. When you’re driving, the increased fuel pressure is enough to tone it down.
  4. You’re better off starting a new thread to trouble shoot this defect, try and give as much information/detail as possible.
  5. For your first point I would say no, it will be a new policy and so the declaration would have to start over making it your responsibility. If you want help, we can help you identify any potential modifications that your unsure of? The second point, both Lancaster and Adrian Flux carry out their valuation agreement service via pictures from several angles and the paperwork that you supply with the car. Most insurers do it this way these days and will generally make an agreement on principle at the quote stage. Thirdly, most companies offer a buy back clause in the salvage agreement, there will usually be a fee for this which can be a percentage of the payout value or a set fee. Some companies, such as Footman James offer a zero salvage retention add on to your policy which allows you to get the full agreed value in the event of a write off and get the car back at no extra cost. You’re right to have concerns and it’s always worth making sure your policy is water tight in the event of an unfortunate accident. If you’re insuring on a classic policy, make sure the mileage is enough and also make sure you’re allowed to drive it to work (if you occasionally do that on sunny days throughout the summer like myself!).
  6. I wasn’t suggesting that you’re full of hot air by the way, you share your birthday with the maiden flight!
  7. Happy Birthday Andrew
  8. Are you intending on smoothing this lip into the tailgate? I wouldn’t bother as you’re asking for trouble at the joins. Your best bet is to get your paint shop to paint the whole car and the just paint the spoiler and stick it on at a later date! I think it’ll look better as an added lip too.
  9. You would need to confirm the spine size of the 370z wheel. The 350z spline size is identical to the 300zx so it slips straight on and just needs minor mods for the hicas slip ring cut out. If the spline is different, I wouldn’t imagine you’d get it on with a boss adapter as it’ll be too deep and you’ll have to sit in the back seat to drive! Once you’ve removed all the fancy trim, these wheels are just big lumps of metal so if you really wanted the 370z wheel, it wouldn’t be too difficult to fabricate the 300zx spline section in place of the 370z. I’d say that will be a significantly easier task than you face trying to make all the buttons on the wheel function correctly!
  10. The tailgate will need to be smoothed and have the perspex strip fitted for this lip anyway, so you have the option to continue as planned but the car will have a slick bottom for a few months! Then get your painter to do the lip when convenient, so make sure he saves some of the batch of paint that he mixes.
  11. I also don’t think you’ll find another supplier of that hatch lip for a while (when CZP get them or it gets copied!), so if you have your heart set on it, I would wait it out! Long waiting times have generally become the norm for the TwinZ products, especially ones that are new to the market.
  12. Loving that! [emoji106]
  13. You know you’re onto something when your car looks that good filthy! [emoji41]
  14. I think Gio has a valid point. The N/As and autos sold in huge numbers so it makes perfect sense to produce those, but by Nissan’s own admission on the press release expecting to sell only 100 units a month, it is quite surprising that they invested so much in what they classed as minor model changes. I guess they were hopeful to revive the dwindling sales numbers and maybe bridge the gap to the launch of the next Z car, which would’ve already been in development at that stage? For info regarding the series 6 BMC, it was only the reservoir that was larger, I’m fairly sure that the actual bore was smaller to sharpen up the flow.
  15. Good choice on ditching the red centre caps Richard [emoji106]
  16. They’re only £46.54 plus shipping, bargain! I probably have a spare and we’re due a cup of tea at Andy’s place...
  17. http://nissan4u.com/parts/300zx/er_z32/1993_3/type_1/body_electrical/relay/illustration_2/ Ignore the lamp check description, it’s just because it’s the same part number:
  18. Stop procrastinating and get it running!!
  19. It’s looking fantastic [emoji41]
  20. I’m sure Simon won’t have any issues as long as the roads were salt free, I’m fairly sure he’s had his out for a blast in the last few days, I certainly have! [emoji41]
  21. Detailing 101, Rule 1 - Revision 1: Once the vehicle has been driven, it’s no longer acceptable to touch the paint until a decontamination wash has been carried out. Refer Rule 37 - Revision 6 for extenuating circumstances (eg show purposes) and procedures of how to safely carry out a waterless wipedown. :hammer:
  22. But you went for a drive beforehand and played with a Porsche?.. [emoji3166]
  23. Do they have to send them back after March 29th?
  24. You don’t need to remove the mirror glass (and risk breaking it), just unscrew the mechanism from underneath and unhook it to move it out of the way.
