What did you do to your zed today?
Nice work Howard. That's the same stuff I used :) Personally, I would put them either under the headlight or under the nose panel. Not just for the aesthetic benefit of not having them on display but also to keep them away from the heat of the engine bay. A lot of these ballasts can be sensitive to the sort of heat in the area and you could face issues of them not switching back on when hot (having to wait till they cool down). I quite like that MOMO that you're removing, what size is it?

Is this sticker std on a new zed
I had a couple of PITWORK stickers on mine, from what I can gather they are a company that produce aftermarket/performance parts for Nissan, similar to Nismo.

Wheel colours, opinions please.
Please don't redo them white, in my opinion your car would look oodles better if the wheels were a nice silver colour (any shade from sparkly to shadow chrome).

Not very happy at all
Was this car sold by a trader or sold as seen? I think your right about time not bring in your side. Do you think it's possible that the seller didn't know it had been converted or are your suspicions that the seller carried out the work/conversion? Either way, hope you get it sorted without too much wallet/heart/head ache.

Strange Phenomenon on an Aeroplane
Interesting, thanks for asking and a nice find Tom, mystery solved.

start of front sub frame refurb and uprated socks
Looks like you're doing a nice job of that, good work. What wheels are you going for? It's the single most important choice on a zed in my opinion, nothing else matters, the wheels make or break ?

Strange Phenomenon on an Aeroplane
I fly a lot for my job, sometimes several times a day, but yesterday when flying home over London I noticed something I've never seen before. I looked out of the window and noticed a strange blurry, colourful hue on the clouds in the distance. As the aircraft descended, this hue became more prominent and detailed so I decided to take some pics and also recorded a video before we descended through the clouds. You'll see during the video that a shadow of the aircraft appears inside this hue and gets closer and closer as we breach the clouds. I thought I'd share: https://vimeo.com/103437957

There was quite a large attendance list for this event, I get the impression there must have been a few no shows?

coilovers...
I don't think the preloads are set from the factory.
-
coilovers...
You should set the figure on the spring as the maximum preload. Decrease the figure if you need more height from the coilover.
-
coilovers...
The springs themselves will have the preload figure printed on them. Should be around 200 or 220 depending on front or rear. This number denotes a measurement in mm from the top to the bottom of the spring platform. If these are uneven you could have issues. It's always a good idea to have the car properly setup to get the best out of this sort of mod, but it can be expensive. I also have the meister coilovers and I can honestly say that in the softest setting, it is softer than the kyb/lowering spring combo they replaced.

What preload settings do you have on the springs?
