  1. I've become quite fond of the twinz rear spoiler...
  2. Those wheels really do set that car off perfectly, great choice.
  3. Hi, I'm after the plastic number plate mount found on UK spec front bumper. CheerZ, Joel.
  4. As long as you have sufficient clearance on the inside, an offset of ET35 would look nice. It's effectively that same as what I have on the front. Mine is 8.5 ET22:
  5. I hope your insurance company do pursue the matter, although I fear that once again, you may find that the cost of them chasing down the offender will far outweigh a simple payout to you.
  6. It's been a long time coming buddy. Rest assured it's in good hands.
  7. They're Work Meister.
  8. It was this post: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=1168852
  9. That is a key point that is often overlooked. The stock brakes should be more than capable of locking up or activating the abs when in good order. Installing updated brakes won't make any difference to the braking ability or stopping distance, it will only dissipate the heat more efficiently and keep them on form for longer. In actual fact, if you search for a thread made by Jeff a few years back, bigger brakes can actually decrease braking performance by confusing the abs system. It has a well written, layman's description of how it affects the system. I'll try and dig it out later.
  10. Maybe you should consider the fact that you did a poor job of the rebuild or components were still failing? I also concur that the performance of the stock braking system can be very good when healthy so it appears that you're in the minority. Granted they will fade quickly with prolonged hard braking, such as track use, but for general fast road use they're more than sufficient.
  11. I bought some old reclaimed 10x2" scaffold planks for around £30. I staggered them up, to provide enough clearance for the bumper, 5 tiers, giving me a total of 10" lift. I chamfered the front of each tier to assist driving up. Cheap, quick, easy and most importantly, safe. The only downside is that they're big and heavy to store/manoeuvre.
  12. Jackpot! Now to find the registered address!
  13. I've never understood the need to alter the boost up and down, save your money, get a mbc setup properly and leave alone.
  14. And you trust this guy to be honest with his findings when you consider his honesty so far? Whether it works or not in a "quick test", you have been sold a product that isn't as described, get a refund!
  15. Happy Birthday :)
  16. I've been with fluxdirect for the last couple of years on a classic policy, the system is really quite good but I guess the true test of these companies would be in the unfortunate event of a claim. There's a fairly substantial list but I declare every last modification, no matter how minor or "visible" it is and find with most companies on these specialist policies, it makes no difference to the quote. I would also recommend you get a quote from Footman James as they are also very competitive. I very nearly made the switch to them this year, but didn't for a few reasons however, I feel that the FJ policy is possibly a better package. My best advice would be to shop around, spend a few hours one day with a list of at least 5 companies that you've shortlisted and get quotes. https://www.fluxdirect.co.uk/products/car-insurance/ http://www.footmanjames.co.uk/classic-car-insurance Regards, Joel.
  17. Yeah I've seen him on there, weren't sure if he was amongst this crowd!
  18. I've had an agreed value on my policies for a few years now. It's surprisingly easy to get decent values agreed and the classic policies are generally a fair wedge cheaper than a normal policy so it's a win win. Saying that, my renewal went up a few quid this year and I couldn't beat it by phoning around.
  19. Yeah, I do really like the colour, even coming from a man that has never been a fan of red zeds! I took a few cheeky snaps before I took it back to the paint shop for finishing, so these pics are an "almost finished" stage. When I get it back, I'll be applying the pin stripes in the swage lines and installing the Z badge:
  20. I dropped mine off at the paintshop for finishing now it's all back together. A week of polishing for them!
