Advise about selling
If it doesn’t require much to get it through an MOT, I would recommend that you 100% get a ticket for it. Without it’ll just be worth breaker money but with an MOT, if it’s still structurally and mechanically sound but just a little tatty on the presentation front, you’ll be looking at upwards of £4k. Your best bet is to get some decent pics of the car as it is now. I remember this car as being a nice, tidy example and would be an ideal car for someone looking to put their own stamp on one. New windscreen
They’re still available, however they can have quite a lead time depending on who you use. The bronze tint import windshield glass is harder to source I believe.

What did you do to your zed today?
Do you have a master cylinder brace and decent hoses to the calipers?

Mike Feeney Memorial Meet
Copied from Steve Burns: Sunday, 2nd February is the next South East Z Group (SEZ) meeting which Mike organised for so many years. It was felt that this meet should be held in Mike's honour and thus provide an opportunity to show our respects and share memories of a great man who will be sadly missed. The meet will commence at 1pm at the Halfway House pub, West Horndon, Brentwood CM13 3LL (which is between the A127/A128). An area has been reserved from 12 pm for anyone who arrives earlier and is booked under George (Mr. G),s name It would be great to see as many people as possible. (Please can you also spread the word about this event as I know that not everyone is on the forum or on social media).

2k stutter
If it has an aftermarket MAF I’d say that’s almost certainly the issue, success and longevity rate of these is woeful!

Monthly Photo Competitions
Gary’s 2+0 has 4 votes but isn’t showing joint silver with Dave and myself who currently also have 4 each, any idea how the voting system prioritises joint places? Does the software restrict 5 votes as it still shows me the option to vote after casting 5?

Car of The Year 2019 - Voting
Congratulations Andrew, a very well deserved win for a truly fantastic example. Well done to all involved, they’re all worthy winners in my opinion and looking forward to seeing more of them throughout the year. [emoji41]

Boot spoiler question-Is there always one from factory-Who has the answer?
They’re solid plastic and do not suffer from moisture ingress like the early spoilers. You’ll likely find that you still have your original bootlid and the original mounting holes have been filled.

Boot spoiler question-Is there always one from factory-Who has the answer?
It was this quote that made me think it’s the later model...

Boot spoiler question-Is there always one from factory-Who has the answer?
I suspect yours is a later model which would’ve had the “boomerang” spoiler (1995-1998)? You should be able to find one of these used otherwise there are replicas available in the states.

Boot spoiler question-Is there always one from factory-Who has the answer?
The TT models all came with spoilers and the NA models without, but I’m fairly sure they had an option to add the spoiler. The car was originally designed without the spoiler but testing in the wind tunnel showed some high speed stability issues, thus the fast model [emoji51] got a spoiler added!

Car of The Year 2019 - Voting
Such awesome Z’s in the competition and it’s great to see such a fine looking factory fresh model from Oakview as they’re becoming quite a rarity these days! For me, there is 1 particular Z in this lineup that stands out (even more so than previous years with its recent refresh and upgrades) so my vote has been cast. Good luck everyone and happy new year [emoji41]

Sorry, you don’t have permission for that!
Does the software allow previews or at least the title of the thread to be visible by Facebook? The threads that have to be logged in for are the ones we need to post of Facebook to encourage users to use the club forum. At least if people can see the title, it may perk their interest!

Hi everyone
It’s hard to tell at the moment as the market is very fluid. Your problem might not be how much they’re available for but more ‘if’ they’re available! At which point you’re either forced to pay what the seller is asking or waiting for something that might not appear! Many of these fresh import cars are high quality and in great condition, which is generally why they cost a few quid more. I would suggest that a SWB TT manual that doesn’t need some work doing to it will likely be for sale for a similar price as a fresh import car. I know you say the rust and mechanical engine issues are your priorities, quite rightly so, but if you end up with a tatty car that needs a repaint, costs will start to escalate quickly! Also, the family estate wagons really aren’t that bad and still great fun to drive. Some would argue more so!

Hi everyone
What do you think your budget will be when the time comes to buy one? Also note that the prices will hike in May/June time as people are looking for fun summer cars!

Hi everyone
I used to daily a twin turbo auto and I quite liked it. Compared to modern auto boxes it’s woeful but it was still nice to drive. The problem with the autoboxes these days is that they’re starting to become troublesome and unreliable if they’ve not been serviced properly. You can’t beat the fun factor of a manual box!

Project UK rewind
Great to see the attention to detail and thought going into this project Chris. It’s inspiring me to get started on mine and give it a proper freshen up. [emoji41] “Just another grand”!
