  1. yes this car is a pig to work on, and yes most jobs are like this
  2. cause its white, nobody really would look twice at a white Z , now a red one.........people notice ya
  3. http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi Electrical section , page 53
  4. look at the back of the headlight where the wires go that is where the bulbs come out
  5. last time i went into nissan for a filter the parts guy who has been there years told me they had now moved over to a different filter for the Z which fits other nissan cars mainly because of the service parts coming from renault now?
  6. I will say this one more friggin time, bernoulli was wrong, do a more in depth search on the theory of flight paying strict attention to newtonian explanation and the aerospace design ethos
  7. oh and i cant make it as im on frigging holiday cruising around the med
  8. shelton , i found out about this last week but was told car spaces will be limited
  9. BW Lift and downforce is dependant on the angle of attack( angle the wing sits at) and speed of the wing through the air and drag, do a quick search on the theory of flight, try to ignore the references to bernoullis theory.
  10. think you will find that renault decided that a change in the spec of oil filters for the Z was needed and decided that a micra one would do just as well
  11. oh and the injectors and tubs are standard
  12. really you need to know what your injectors are doing and your a/r throughout the revrange, mine is chipped and runs 14.5 psi with a good a/r for safety and still leaves the injectors at 80% duty cycle most of the time
  13. sorry that has come across wrong , i just get miffed that bernoulli is taught because it is easy to understand even though its partially incorrect.
  14. You know i was almost with ya until you started using the bernoulli theory of why lift is developed , its far to simple to say that you have divergent and convergent airflow causing lift and it is also untrue, its just the easiest one to understand , the cross section of a wing that achieved that is the wrong shape to create lift. try looking at the theory of flight using newtons rules
  15. most nausiating ride ive been on is dragon khan at fortaventura, the only ride ive been on and couldnt walk afterwards, the hulk in islands of adventure is cool as well.
  16. if its oil and filter then around 3.6 to 4 ltr.
  17. man i cant believe you scuffed your rims for this woman and you didnt even get close to scuffing her rim
  18. check out rovertech.net
  19. sorry bud threw the packaging away...oops

  21. its about looks and law, first off it looks good, there are very few spoilers that actually accentuate the lines on a Z, smooth does look good, second , the speed limit here is 70mph on motorways( interstate) 30 on residentials and a mix between the two on country roads, we do not all drive round at insane speeds because to do so now means getting caught, they use a LOT of speed cameras and number plate recognition cameras over here.Having said that there are times when nature calls and we do hit silly speeds, then reality kicks in and we realise we pay almost 9 dollars a gallon on fuel.
  22. yeah it was a sgp one , the cutout was just too damned small, yeah when finally fitted got it to sit wedge in and you can feel a little give as it slides in the rut so you know it seated properly.Belts were the ones from smithys and were spot on size wise not much tightening needed at all.
  23. heres why i didnt do it, the viscous fan when fully engaged will flow 6300 cfm of air, there isnt a aftermarket electric fan out there that can do that, the power loss is around 8bhp from what i could find out, the viscous fan clutch isnt always running the fan at full bore so the loss isnt always 8bhp, our engine bay is hot and i would rather flow 6300cfm when needed rather than 5000cfm from the best electric fan i could find....its up to you tho , cooling isnt one of the areas i would look to try and increase my output at the expense of capability.
