Nice job Andy.. Wouldn't expect anything less from the club's lighting guru.. I'm starting work on a test repair of those old light panels you gave me at the weekend.

Are these a straight swap over for standards spiff? Or have you upgraded the calipers etc.. Looking to do something with mine as they get hot real quick. Not sure wether to fit grooved and drilled original discs or upgrade to the brembos.. Money is the only stumbling block though.. Brembos are $$$.. I haven't looked in to the 350 Z discs, I'm running 18" wheels so I've got a little room to play with.

Its was great to meet you and Gordon too Richie.. Had a great laugh with you guys and the 370Z lads.. Hopefully there'll be a few events in the warmer months for camping and I'll pack a few more sausages! Lol.. If we'd not met up it would have been a poxy night in the freezing cold.. So thanks for the company and conversation, it made the camping worthwhile.. Apologies if I appeared a little on the grumpy side in the morning, 2 hours sleep, minor hypothermia and a damp ass can have a negative affect on my mood! Still tired tonight.. After a great weekend at Silverstone, attention is now drawn to Rockingham and japfest 2. It'd be great to get a 300zx stand in there with as high a number as possible of our forum attending, So if you think you'd be up for coming along to this, please just add your name to the list. Same format as the Japfest Silverstone thread. Your name and if you're camping.. Thanks guys..

Lol.. Going on track is fine unless you left your brain in the fridge before going out there.. It'll be interesting to see how many will go. If we get enough for a stand.. I looked at zclub.net and can't find much about it. I'll start a new thread and see how many we can get.. So if you're up for going to japfest 2 at Rockingham, add yourself to the list on the thread. Also state if you want camping.. June should be great for camping.. I'm already going to JF2 but would be great if we can get another club stand and really fill the place with zeds..

Just out of interest.. Japfest 2 is coming up in June 25th for camping and 26th for the actual event. Are we organising anything for this event? It's being held at Rockingham circuit in Northamptonshire. For those that couldn't attend the Silverstone event, it's another opportunity to gather the club together. So do we have any plans to go or is someone wanting to arrange something for the club? Maybe we can gather a larger group this time round? So, who's up for it???

Yea parking on a tarmac car park right next to the cafe and also had easy access to the retailers, toilets and track views just around the corner. Excellent stand and easy access to everything.. Couldn't have asked for a better position to be placed. I never went to Castle Coombe but it would have had to have been something extraordinary to beat the venue at Silverstone

Thanks gray.. i was quite proud of her today. got some really nice comments from people passing and lots of photos taken by onlookers too.. every car there was credit to the club and everyone that attended should feel proud. we had a nice little line up today.. itd be nice if next year we could get as many as possible to attend and we could fill that car park with 300's ! imagine that!? feels good to see my car all shiny and standing proud for the club. all that polishing and waxing does work wonders.. it does take its toll on the body of a person that slept in a tent in the arctic all night! got home and passed out cold on the sofa almost immediately! lol got up and went to get the beer in and im sure it wont be long til im unconscious again.. anyways, time for a beer and well deserved sleep! good to see those that attended today, as always a great time had..

That's quite odd cos mine is a series one car and it has the perspex strip. We are talking about the same thing here aren't we? In Alics photo it's the black strip under the spoiler with the nissan on the left and twin turbo on the right?

Which strip you talking about coopd? The perspex one on the boot hatch under the spoiler or is this a different one? I'm after a perspex strip as mine is cracked..

Omg that just made my day ted! All you need now is the big spoiler and a big set of wheels on the back..

Ted,I didn't realise how deep you were going with your rebuild.. Got to say, it looks like your doing a fantastic job mate. Can't wait to see it when it's done.. Hopefully won't be too long til I'm coming over your way so it'd be great to see what you're up to then! Just waiting on my dad to finish some house renovation then I'll be over your way to deliver..

Thanks Si.. Im pleased with it. I couldn't have colour coded it and wouldn't have. It wouldn't look right, so you see I can differentiate between sensible and slightly mad.. Only sometimes though.. Lol

Well, finished the final coat on the parcel shelf today.. And as promised here is the finished product. Was a bit of a sod trying to work out the winding mechanism for the return spring but swore a few times and It all fell in to place! Anyway, one more thing to be done, that's now in the done list! Gonna try and fit the two rear quarter interior panels tomorrow and then get on with the polishing, waxing and endless stone chip touch ups... Then break out the weather cover to protect my hard work!

I revamped my roller blind / parcel shelf today.. The previous owner had used gaffa tape to cover a piece of the vinyl covering that had split and it has been bugging me cos it looked pants. So I tried to take the vinyl off by warming it with a hairdryer and peeling it.. The glue they use on that stuff is amazing.. Ended up burning the vinyl off with a heat gun. Then went over it with a wire wheel on the drill to clean it up. After about two hours, I got it in red oxide primer.. I'll show you it finished tomorrow

I think you've just solved my water leak Dutch.. Every now and then when I open the boot, I get water running out from under the plastic trim right where that wiper motor is.. I'm thinking this is my problem too.. Where did you get the wiper seal from?

You're welcome.. The offers open to anyone if they want to save themselves the early morning rush to get there.. The tent has two seperate bedrooms in it and each is made for four to sleep in so there's plenty of room. My friend and I will be using one of them so there's a spare.. Who else is camping?? Maybe we can pitch up and form a Z campsite lol

You're more than welcome to have my spare bedroom in the tent coopd. Beer, bacon and egg on the cooker and a good laugh to be had..

Just checked again and it's saying mild showers on Sunday after 5pm.. Rest of the day looks fine though.. Let's face it though, forecasts are unreliable. With any luck we'll have glorious sunshine til dusk.. :bow:
