Looks cracking mate.. Looking forward to getting mine off and cracking on with it.. Joely, I had thought about black but decided I was going to outline it in black. I put the masking tape all round the outline before realising that the black in the can I had was blocked solid.. Given the time I had to do it, I just went with what was on hand.. I have a lot of red and gold things around lol.. Fairly pleased with it though.. Im gonna work on a better one when I get the time and also get one for the rear done aswell.. It'll do for now though.. You'd laugh if you knew how I masked out the lettering! A spot of genius and madness all mixed together.. :dance:

I've checked the forecast and it's saying cloudy spells but dry!? Anyway, just thought I'd offer, but ive got a spare room in my tent for Saturday night camping at Silverstone so if anyone wants to camp but hasn't got the tent or just wants to make life easier for getting there on the day, your welcome to come stay at the NemesizX camping hotel.. Got eight man tent so plenty of room for a couple of peeps.. Just bring a sleeping bag and your beer!

Had a go at making a little show plate today.. Using some old perspex and some unusual techniques, I ended up with a half decent looking plate. A little rough around the edges of the lettering as the masking tape was turd and the perspex isn't scratch free unfortunately but at least I've got a little plate with my forum ID on now ready for japfest.

If you've only just received your email, check to make sure the download links work! Went to print mine this morning and two of the links didn't work!!! Called them and they sent them again but just thought I'd let you guys know just incase! Looking forward to meeting up.. Should be a great day

Finally received mine!

I called them today and they've said there's been some issues accessing some of the email addresses. Apparently their system has a gremlin which is affecting ticket generation and mailing with certain orders.. They have told me that I will have my email by tomorrow and as Pete said.. We shall see.. Not impressed by the camping situation either. Having to pack up my tent and put it in the car on Sunday morning before taking the car to the track site is going to be a pain in the veg. Was hoping to leave the tent up until the end of the Sunday and then go remove it! With the boot size on a Z this is a little inconvenient at best..

Oh, just you wait you lot... Revenge is best served cold... Lol Oh and thanks Alic.. They look grand to me. Before the dozey squad got involved... I assume somebody has a dislike for my custom sidelights and indicators now too? Think it's time to break out the veilside for painting and get the big gay spoiler on then.. Was planning on a trip to Mildenhall with bedzee today but my wonderful wife and child decided to leave me babysitting our anxious dog and go shopping until it was too late to go. Spent the time washing the car and cleaning the interior.. Once the shopping freaks returned I went for a drive up to dunstable downs to get a couple of photos with a nice back drop.. The place was heaving with people and I managed to secure a nice corner spot for a photo opportunity. Just as I get out the car, someone decided to park up right next to me and ruin what could have been a nice photo.. Not my day today! In fact hasn't really been a good weekend.. Still waiting for japfest email too which is beginning to annoy me as they're now a week late! Best go take my blood pressure pills me thinks.. Anyways here's the best pic I could get... Ignore the audi if you can..

We should be sent club packs by email, still not had anything.. And yes slick, you're right.. I just checked the official japfest site and its a drive round to the track. So this means I have to camp Saturday, then pull my tent down early hours of Sunday morning, fill my car up with camping crud and then drive it round to the site to get on the club stand before 8am?? That's ridiculous.. Why haven't they used the woodland site that's on the bloody Silverstone site? That's what I thought was paying for. Not offsite camping!

I've still had nothing from japfest either.. Not even a reminder about the event? Also regarding the camping, I checked their website at Silverstone and it says they have camping at woodlands campsite which is 150 yards from the track?? I don't have a clue what's going on now and I've only got a few days to plan this out.. Someone needs to pull their finger out!

I agree with Simon on the dash lines.. Cutting a hole in the dash is sacrilege to me.. They do look nice but I prefer the gauges on the A pillar myself. The gauges with the most Important information I feel should be in the line of site. The din is also a good place to have them but my own preference is the A pillar particularly cos you don't have to butcher anything to fit the A pillar 3 gauge pod.. Each to their own though.. If I didn't have to cut a hole in the dash, I'd have probably gone for the dash set up

Which dials are they ted? Fuel/oil temp /boost??

Yea, I've got camping pass and was under the impression it would be like jae.. Camp near our stand. I haven't seen the set up but I'm hoping we're not miles from our cars..

Just got back from a drive with the targas off :w00t: That drive made so much more pleasurable as I finally got to meet bedzee man! A great guy and another great looking Z. We me at wrest Park as suggested by bedzee and a great place to meet.. Couldn't resist a few photos of the beasts! And of course one taken by my best mate of the two of us with our Z's. Nice to have met you Chris, great chat, great surroundings and two great examples of nissan finest!

As strange as it may sound, I took a torque wrench on the plane to Scotland when I went to buy my car.. I never trust someone else with something that important.. Had a wheel nearly come off on my old V8 rover years back and since then, I have to know those nuts are on right.. I wasn't driving 650 miles home on a wing and a prayer! Lol.. I check and retorque my wheels every thousand miles..

Isn't this what a torque wrench was designed for?
